Searching for the truth amidst the fog,
Tracking down the murderer through danger,
Born for truth, dying for truth.
The two didn't talk much at first. She enjoyed the autumn sunshine, and he enjoyed this rare leisure time.
After returning from abroad, Shengda was constantly seeing different women every day. They all seemed to be in a hurry, talking non-stop, and constantly moving from one place to another. This difference in her made him feel a little distressed by the scar on her face, and even a desire to protect her. At first, he was also frightened by his own thoughts. After all, they had just met for the first time and didn't know each other well.
Ouyang's cell phone rang. She took a look at it and answered it slowly: "Yes, I'm at my grandfather's house. Okay, that's it." These simple words made it impossible to guess who was on the other end of the line.
When she noticed Sheng Yuan's gaze, she tilted her head to look at him and said, "Grandpa will definitely keep us here after dinner." She looked at his hands and asked, "Can you write calligraphy?"
"No." He had practiced it when he was a child, but now he couldn't remember it. Maybe it had been too long since he had practiced it.
"That's good," she said with another smile, "and he won't comment on your calligraphy."
Sheng Yuan asked, "Are you afraid of Mr. Zhuo?"
Ouyang narrowed his eyes. "I'm not afraid, but I'm afraid he'll keep dwelling on one thing endlessly." He blocked the sudden sunlight with his hand. "It's better to be quiet."
After staying outside for half an hour, the aunt called them back to eat. The two of them walked into the living room one after the other and sat next to each other.
Grandma's face lit up with joy when she saw them. She and Grandpa had already decided on this couple while they were outside; they were such a perfect match.
The simple home-cooked meal was fresh and appetizing, so Ouyang had two bowls of rice with it. Grandma looked at Ouyang's clean bowl with satisfaction and said, "Ouyang, bring Sheng Yuan home for dinner often in the future."
Ouyang, who was drinking water, almost choked. He looked at the grandmother opposite and the grandfather on the right. Could it be that they had decided to let him be with this doctor?
"How old are you? How can you still choke while drinking water?" Grandpa also put down his chopsticks, his words full of criticism.
"Well," Ouyang sat up straight, "Grandpa, Grandma, this is the first day Mr. Sheng and I have met. I'm afraid it's a little early for you to say that."
Grandma and Grandpa looked at each other. They had to admit that they had to use 100% of their wisdom to talk to such a smart person like Ouyang.
"That's perfect," Grandpa said. "You two can exchange contact information later. Whoever wants to come can invite the other one."
Sheng Yuan watched their "fight" as if he was enjoying a good show.
"You mean I can't come alone?" Ouyang smiled.
Grandma and Grandpa were in a dilemma. They didn't actually mean that. They just wanted Ouyang Changdai and Sheng Yuanjian to meet, but the more they talked, the more they seemed to be at fault.
Ouyang, like a ghost, broke the deadlock: "Grandpa and grandma, how about this? We won't bother you with a special treat. Since we know each other, we are friends, and it is only natural for us to treat each other to a meal."
"That's what we mean," Grandma said with a smile, "You kid, you only know how to tease the elderly."
Grandpa didn't say anything, just looked at Sheng Yuan and said, "Xiao Yuan, come to the study later and I'll introduce you to some representative Chinese paintings."
Ouyang seemed to be gloating. He got up early and went to the living room, turned on the TV, sat there, and ate pastries after dinner.
A few hours later, before dinner, Sheng Yuan came down from the study upstairs and saw Ouyang still in the same posture, with his hands on his knees, watching a movie intently.
Grandma went to the kitchen to arrange dinner, came out and patted Ouyang's legs, signaling her to put her legs down, after all, there were guests at home.
"Grandma," Ouyang said, "I'm hungry." Although she had eaten a whole plate of osmanthus cake, she was indeed hungry.
"You'll be able to eat soon," Grandma said, looking at her pitiful face. "You must not have eaten well outside."
"Haha." She smiled and saw the two people coming down from upstairs, wondering how he could tolerate Grandpa Zhuo's nagging?
After a simple dinner, the two old men saw them out the door, watched their car leave, and then went back to rest.
Ouyang's car was in front, and she looked at the car behind her in the rearview mirror. Although neither of them left contact information with each other, she believed that her grandmother would give Sheng Yuan her phone number, just like she gave her Sheng Yuan's business card.
Suddenly, she parked the car to the side, and the car behind her also stopped behind her. Sheng Yuankan and Ouyang got out of the car and walked towards him.
"Hello!" She lost the politeness she had at her grandparents' house and handed the business card back to him. "This is your business card, mine?" She stretched out her hand and looked at him.
"What?"
“They didn’t give you my contact information?”
As he spoke, Sheng Yu took out his cell phone, called her, and placed it in front of her: "What are you talking about?"
Ouyang patted his car. The boy moved too quickly: "You are not really interested in me, are you?" She gave a strange smile.
"I think you are really interesting." Sheng Yuan said, "Business card is just a formality. Besides, I think we will meet again soon." After that, he drove away.
Ouyang kicked the flower bed on the roadside. She suspected that this doctor was a person who was pretending to be a pig and eating the tiger.
Back in the basement, Dong Ya saw her coming back angrily and asked, "Didn't you go to Zhuo's house? Who offended you?"
"Help me find someone."
"who?"
"Sheng Yuan."
