Chapter 75: Special Vampire.

It was the night of the full moon. Zoan’s eyes zoomed in on the bright silver moon throwing its light directly through the hole in the roof, and it was aiming its light directly at Caius. The boy looked out of breath, and his eyes were fluttering close.

Something about full moons has always made him run mad. He never liked full moons because they reminded him of that unfortunate incident ten years old, and if he could find a way to stop the moon from glowing as a bright white circle every thirty days, then he wouldn’t even hesitate.

Everyone was staring up at the moon like something very miraculous was just about to happen. From their earlier conversation, he knew it wouldn’t end well for Caius. The problem here was he couldn’t just sweep In and take the boy when he doesn’t even know exactly what these Vampires were trying to prevent. It could turn out to be dangerous for them in the future, but then he didn’t have much of a choice.

To save the boy was his only reason for being here. He was just about to jump into action when the other men beat him to it. Malcolm and Felix had arrived, running as fast as they could inside the room. They were covered in blood, and Malcolm looked more hurt than Felix since he was the human among the both of them.

"Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh," Caius broke out into a loud moan of pain. The moon was directly casting its light on him now, and his face was constricted in so much pain as he kept vibrating vigorously. Sweat was running down his face together with the dried blood already there... but there was still no physical change in him as to why they would chain him up so badly.

"You guys take care of the two of them. I’ll finish the ritual and head over to report what I’ve got." One of the Witches said, and everyone flew into action. The witch that had just spoken stood up, her eyes dancing with sheer maniacal intentions as she walked over to the altar, while the vampires and second witch faced Malcolm and Felix.

"I can take care of the both of them." The witch stated, pulling out two daggers from her short skirt. She flipped them around in her hands, straining her eyes on each man like some killing machine accessing its targets.

"Don’t get cocky, Rina." The Special Vampire shook his head at her calmly, "Look closely. No wonder they got past the horde of creatures we sent to them." He added.

The next person that spoke was another Vampire. This one had a cunning look on his face, and for some reason, he couldn’t take his eyes off Malcolm since they walked in there, "Aragon’s most trusted guard, Felix Gallard. They say he is Worth a thousand Vampires, and his witch abilities surpasses most of the powerful ones around," Then, he moved his devious eyes back to Malcolm whom had a deadpan look in his eyes as he stared back at the man, "So, we meet again. Didn’t really get to finish what we started the last time, right Mally?" He grinned wickedly.

"Guess I’ll do well and get my sword into your heart this time, Ren," Malcolm replied fiercely, pointing his sword directly at him.

"That’s the spirit!!" Ren responded callously and took a disgusting lick up his wrist which looked awful, like a swarm of bees had bitten him all over the place, "You left a scar on me the last time. I look forward to adding your eyes to my collection!" And then, he was suddenly in front of Malcolm. That terrifying speed of his wasn’t something Malcolm wasn’t aware of, and the fight turned into a huge battle.

"I guess I’ll be taking your head then." The special Vampire came like the wind itself, and his devastating swiftness had Felix’s eyes widening. He just knew at that moment that the man has to be a special vampire from the way he came at him, and that put him in a bad position. It’s not possible to face him while there is still a vampire and two Witches loose in the room.

Everything was happening so fast that he didn’t have time to think. The torrent of wind that came at him was horrendous and wild, just about to blast him away when everything blasted backward again...and someone familiar was standing in front of him while the special vampire had been blown back, slamming into the walls of the cave.

"Your... highness!" Felix exclaimed in shock.

When did he get here?

Meanwhile, Zoan was interested in the vampire that was now pulling himself out of the debris that had fallen on him. He would leave Felix to take care of the last two threats, while he has a little chit-chat with this vampire in front of him. Zoan came to save the boy, but he’s found something else too.

"Finally...So you’re a wind type." Zoan approached him casually like he wasn’t a threat to him.

Once the Special vampire’s eyes took him in completely, he looked utterly confused at what he was seeing right now, "You...?"

"Yes, I know. I look exactly like Aragon Odysseus, right? It looks like for you not to know about me, you must be a young vampire." Zoan tilted his head one side and gave the man a quick once over, "Yet you look and act older than the rest. What have you done to yourself?" Zoan Inquired, moving closer to him without a care in the world. He’s always been interested in special Vampires since they were a very rare and blessed kind of the vampire race, and the books he’s read so far did not give him the detailed requirements he wanted to know.

He needed to understand everything about special Vampires, and why this one seemed to be aging faster than normal. Could it be that he did something to himself?

Piercing through the thick tension that had clouded the room was Caius’s even louder cries of horror, drawing Zoan’s attention back to the child.
