After Lin Tao was detained in the police station, Yu Xiaofeng went to see Lin Chen.

"Xiao Chen, Tao Tao is still your brother. You can't abandon him at this time! If he really goes to jail, his life will be ruined!"

Lin Chen scoffed: "What use is it for you to come to me? Wasn't it his idea to kick me out of the printing factory and make me the sales manager?"

He investigated this matter when Shen Bo was forced to resign.

The torch fell to the ground but did not go out; the flames, driven by the wind, continued to rage in all directions.

Jiang Ning quickly picked up one baby, then had Wang Xiufen pick up the other baby. They abandoned the stroller and ran quickly toward the exit.

Thankfully, the fire hasn't started yet.

Several people ran towards the shore. Jiang Ning, who was the last to cross the path, kicked the torch, trying to send it into the water.

Unexpectedly, she was not strong enough, and the torch did not fall completely into the water. The flames immediately ignited the roadside weeds.

Without thinking twice, Lin Chen pushed Yu Xiaofeng forward, then took Jiang Ning's hand and ran towards the shore.

A few seconds later, the group, panting heavily, breathed a sigh of relief after confirming that no one was injured.

Just as they turned to look at the island, they discovered that a sudden gust of wind had risen in the middle of the lake, causing the fire on the path to spread rapidly toward the island.

Yu Xiaofeng, that fool, saw the fire and instead of running to the shore, ran towards the center of the island, where he was eventually surrounded by flames.

She couldn't swim, so she could only be roasted by the fire.

Seeing her running away with her head in her hands, Lin Chen put his arm around Jiang Ning's shoulder and said:

"Let's go, let her fend for herself!"
