Zhang Siyu was involved in a car accident. When she opened her eyes again, she was in a small fishing village in the 1960s, as Cheng Zhenzhu, a widow single-handedly raising three children.
T...
"Thank you, Ichijo!"
Peng Dawa was so happy that he finished a whole box of food with three pieces of meat and took all the leftovers back home.
You Yumei looked at the lunch box brought back by her eldest son and asked him why he only ate rice and no vegetables.
"Mom, you gave me three pieces of meat from one fish today." Peng Dawa couldn't help licking his lips when he thought of the delicious food he had eaten at noon.
"And they gave you some meat?" You Yumei was surprised.
"Yeah." Peng Dawa nodded. "Yesterday I spoke up for Yitiao, and Yitiao thanked me..."
"Mom, I want to eat meat too." Peng Erwa swallowed his saliva.
"Eat fish."
"Oh..." Peng Erwa looked at the fish on the table and responded uninterestedly.
He doesn't want to eat fish anymore after eating it every day.
"Wait, there's another dish." You Yumei looked at her second son, who was looking listless, and said, "Your Aunt Zhenzhu also sent two green vegetables for you to eat today."
"Vegetables? I want to eat them!" Peng Erwa became excited.
Peng Dawa sat up straight. He wanted to eat some vegetables, too.
You Yumei returned to the kitchen and fried twenty or so vegetable leaves.
This looks like cabbage, but it's much more tender and has a nice color. I don't see any worm holes...
But it always feels like a waste for Pearl's parents to send a few cabbages from such a long distance.
Cabbage is a rare commodity here, but back at my sister's hometown, it might not even be worth a fraction of the postage...
You Yumei's family is large, with four grown men and two kids who love to eat. As soon as a plate of tender yellow baby cabbage was served on the table, it was immediately snatched up.
"The vegetable leaves taste good today. They are sweet and tender, even tenderer than the first batch of sweet potato leaves." You Yumei's father-in-law Peng Qingxi said with satisfaction.
"Have you fried both?" You Yumei's husband, Peng Shuilai, was still unsatisfied. "What is this dish called? It looks like cabbage, but it tastes a little different..."
"I've fried half of it, and I don't know what it's called. I asked Sister Pearl, and she said it was sent by her parents, and she doesn't know what it's called either."
It's really strange that it takes several days to be delivered, but it can still stay so fresh...
"Mom, can we eat this tomorrow too?" Peng Erwa asked his mother.
"Mom, I want to eat it too. Can I make it when I come back tomorrow night?" Peng Dawa said immediately.
"Okay, let's do it tomorrow night." You Yumei nodded and picked up two pieces of fish for her two sons.
Peng Qingxi and the others were delighted to hear there would be more tomorrow. These leaves were refreshing, even better than the handfuls of tender sweet potato leaves they had eaten a while ago...
When Peng Yitiao returned home in the evening, he had a delicious meal and learned that he would visit his grandparents during the National Day holiday. He was so happy that he almost lost his mind.
Peng Ertiao also enjoyed himself with his brother, and even gave him some fried shrimp with celery. "Brother, please eat this quickly. It's very delicious. We had it at noon. This is what mom left for you..."
These two brothers have such a good relationship. Zhang Siyu glanced at One and Two, then fed a mouthful of food to the Third who was sitting obediently in her arms.
The little one only slept for half an hour this afternoon. When she smelled the aroma of food, she turned on the phone and hugged her legs and said in a daze that she wanted to eat.
Seeing the little guy like this, she guessed that he couldn't scoop up the food by himself, so she held him in her arms and fed him.
The little guy was quite good at eating. He ate half a bowl of rice and a lot of meat and vegetables as well.
Of course, his favorite was meat. When he wanted to eat it, he would point at it and ask for it. He also held the bowl and drank two sips of loofah soup.
Then I ate a few more pieces of meat...
"Okay, Mom will go wash the dishes, you guys look after your brother." After dinner, Zhang Siyu let One, Two and the energetic Three take a walk for a while longer.
Peng Yitiao and Peng Ertiao received the order and immediately supervised their younger brother to turn the table.
Before, my mother asked my younger brother to turn the table, and they also asked my younger brother to turn the table.
San Tiao was watched by his two brothers. He picked up his small bucket and shovel and walked around three times.
Two hands... After turning seven times, Peng Sandiao stopped and squatted in the corner, swaying.
Peng Yitiao and Peng Ertiao looked at each other and immediately pulled over their younger brother who was squatting in the corner and digging.
Not finished yet? Two more laps!
Under the pressure of his two brothers, Peng San Tiao walked around twice more with grievance...
"Mom plans to send a letter to grandma and grandpa tomorrow. Ertiao, can you and your brother play at home?" After taking the three brothers to brush their teeth, Zhang Siyu gathered the little ones together and asked for their opinions.
"Go too~" When he heard that his mother wanted to leave him home again, Peng Sandiao shook his little head and refused to do it.
"Mom, I want to go too." Peng Ertiao scratched his palms, with anticipation in his big eyes.
He wanted to go too, but he couldn't because he had to go to school tomorrow.
Zhang Siyu looked at the three little kids and finally shook her head.
She decided not to go.
One is that three of them get seasick, and the other is that if I take two or three with me, and one of them can't go, I'm sure I'll be unhappy.
Three seasickness and motion sickness pills should be useful...but one emotional deficiency is irreparable.
What if Yitiao doesn’t want to go to school again, then all the efforts will be wasted.
"Forget it, Mom won't go for now. She'll be at home tomorrow. If you want to go, find a weekend and we can go one, two, or three times."
"Okay!" Peng Yitiao nodded heavily, and the depression in his heart disappeared immediately.
Peng Ertiao was no longer hesitant.
"All, together..." Peng Sandiao lay in his mother's arms and rubbed his little head against her.
"Yeah, together." Zhang Siyu touched the little guy's head and carried him to bed to sleep.
