The Sixth Day of Missing You

Soon, the appointed time for the first photoshoot arrived. Su You and Joe had arranged to meet in Dali, Yunnan, to take photos for Joe's photography exhibition. She had already informed her parents about it. Su's father was still worried and even went to check up Joe's background to make sure that his family had been respectable gentlemen for three generations before he agreed to let Su You go. However, he still assigned Su You an assistant, ostensibly to help carry things.

Su You, accompanied by the assistant given to her by her father, flew directly from Xiaoshi Airport to Dali and checked into a local five-star hotel. Since they arrived first, while Joe and his group flew in from abroad and wouldn't arrive until the next day, Su You took the assistant out for a stroll.

The following afternoon, Joe arrived in Dali with a companion and checked into the hotel where Su You was staying. That evening, the two groups had dinner together and agreed to start shooting at 6 a.m. the next morning. Su You was initially surprised to see that Joe had only brought one person. Normally, advertising shoots or similar magazine shoots involve at least a large team. Joe's arrival with just one person made Su You wonder for a moment if he was joking.

Perhaps the suspicion on Su You's face was too obvious, so obvious that Joe couldn't help but explain. This person was someone he knew well, a makeup artist he had worked with for a long time, and it was someone he had prepared for Su You. If it were him in the past, he would have just taken a camera and gone out to take pictures by himself. Anyway, his photos were all about naturalness and harmony, with basically no people in them, so there was no need for post-processing.

This collaboration with Suyou was a pleasant surprise!

"I see..." Su You smiled at Joe a little embarrassed after getting the answer, and then asked about tomorrow's clothes. Since the two had communicated in the email beforehand that it didn't need to be too formal and just natural, Su You discussed with Joe that she would bring her own clothes.

For tomorrow's photoshoot, Su You prepared three outfits: a white fringed maxi dress, a linen-colored forest-style maxi dress, and a light green short dress. Since the theme is nature and life, both the clothing and makeup will be as natural as possible.

After discussions with the stylist (makeup artist), Su You and her team finally decided on the first look: a linen-colored forest-style long dress and nude makeup, which they wanted to express that people can get close to nature, enjoy nature, and appreciate life in nature in the most natural and comfortable state.

The second outfit: a light green short dress and fairy makeup. Su You transforms into a messenger of nature, showcasing the magic and charm of nature. Nature embraces countless lives, and as fellow inhabitants of this earth, we should have reverence for life and nature.

Having studied and researched photography for a period of time, and even had the opportunity to learn from professional models, Su You's performance completely exceeded Joe's expectations. To be honest, Joe was somewhat "blinded by her beauty" when he initially invited Su You to participate in the shoot. However, when Joe reopened the photos he had taken of Su You, he felt that no one was more suitable for this shoot than Su You.

So even though Su You was a complete novice with no experience, and might not know how to take photos, potentially slowing down the process, Joe still resolutely sent her a collaboration invitation. He was even prepared that as long as Su You could roughly grasp the concept, the rest would rely entirely on technology and hard work.

However, reality gave him a big surprise. The photos he had just taken proved that he was a lucky photographer who had encountered a diligent and talented model. When shooting the first outfit, although she was not professional enough and Su You was still a bit awkward in some details, it was precisely this awkwardness that made the photos more story-telling. The young girl was entering nature for the first time, full of curiosity and awe towards every blade of grass, every tree, every flower and every leaf.

While changing costumes, Su You, the protagonist, kept reflecting on her previous shoot. Although there were still some shortcomings, she felt she had better showcased her learning compared to her previous practice sessions. Su You encouraged herself while reviewing her areas for improvement, preparing to make timely adjustments in the next shoot.

"OK, perfect!" As the makeup artist's voice rang in her ears, Su You walked out of the makeshift dressing room and arrived at the reserved shooting location. Everyone was amazed by her appearance. "Oh! Where did this angel come from? She's so perfect, so beautiful! I knew I made the right choice!" Joe exclaimed happily first.

Su You's look was a huge success. Her position in the photoshoot perfectly matched the theme. It's worth noting that when the elf costume was first decided, everyone was a little worried and even prepared alternative makeup looks. Including Su You herself, no one expected her to pull off the look so well!

With a model who could perfectly embody the theme, photographer Joe let loose and started shooting like crazy. The entire set was filled with the constant clicking of camera shutters and Joe's exclamations of "nice!" and "perfect!"

After 10 hours of shooting, Joe looked at the photos on the camera and announced, "Cut off!" Everyone present, including Su You, cheered. After all, they had been shooting for almost a day, and Su You hadn't dared to eat or drink properly in the meantime for fear of delaying the shoot. Su You was so hungry that she could eat a whole cow.

"Come on, come on, it's my treat, let's go eat!" After a day of filming, everyone got along very well, so Su You changed her clothes as soon as possible and invited everyone to go eat together.
