Chapter 336 Separation of Mother and Child

In the early morning, the warm sunlight streamed through the milky-white sheer curtains onto the bed. Jiang Hua woke up first; today was the day Jiang Kefan was leaving. (Please search on Baidu for the past few days; Jiang Hua had been staying with Jiang Kefan.) She sat up, looking lovingly at Jiang Kefan, who was still asleep. He was breathing evenly, sleeping soundly, and was still murmuring, "Mommy... Mommy..."

The time spent together was always too short. With Jiang Kefan by her side, Jiang Hua had been very happy these past few days, but in the blink of an eye, it was time to say goodbye again.

Although Jiang Hua knew that Jiang Kefan was only coming to stay for a few days and was prepared for the separation from her son, she was still very sad when the day came. Having experienced separation once before, she knew how painful it was for a mother and son to be apart, and she really couldn't bear to leave her son: "Forgive me, Mom had no other choice."

Jiang Hua, unusually, didn't get up early. She just sat on the edge of the bed and quietly looked at Jiang Kefan, her eyes full of reluctance.

Jiang Kefan had relied on her since childhood, living a life without a father. Jiang Hua hated her own incompetence for not being able to give Jiang Kefan a complete family, and now she was going to be separated from him.

After sitting for a while, Jiang Hua looked at her watch. It was past 8 o'clock. Jiang Hua got up to prepare breakfast, not wanting Jiang Kefan to see her reluctance and sadness. So she made carrot and egg pancakes, which he disliked the most, for breakfast.

Jiang Kefan woke up to a familiar food aroma. Today she was going back to China and leaving her mother. With that thought in mind, Jiang Kefan got dressed and went to the dining room on her own. She saw Jiang Hua putting pancakes on a plate. When she went over to take a look, wow, it was the familiar orange and yellow carrot and egg pancake.

"Mom, I'm leaving today. Can't you please let us eat something else?" Jiang Kefan had a headache. She knew she disliked carrots the most, but these past few days in the United States, every meal had carrots, including today.

"If you don't like it, I don't want to cook it either. Hurry up and come eat, then pack your things and get ready to leave." Jiang Hua pretended to be impatient and urged Jiang Kefan to go eat.

Jiang Kefan struggled with the carrot and egg pancake on his plate with a reluctant expression, while Jiang Hua sat opposite him, elegantly eating her breakfast, seemingly unconcerned about his departure.

After breakfast, Jiang Hua urged Jiang Kefan to pack his suitcase. Fortunately, he didn't bring much this time, so he quickly packed and got everything ready.

The morning seemed to fly by for Jiang Hua, and before long, the plane finally arrived.

Jiang Hua looked impatient and urged Jiang Kefan to hurry up and fly away. Once he left, she would be free and wouldn't have to take care of him like a mother hen every day.

Urged on by her, Jiang Kefan reluctantly boarded the private jet.

As the plane slowly started moving, Jiang Hua could no longer contain her emotions and burst into tears, covering her face.

Before the plane took off, Jiang Kefan looked out through the cabin window and saw Jiang Hua wiping away tears.

"Mom still doesn't want me to leave. She's just being stubborn. I really want to be stubborn with Mom." Jiang Kefan let out a small sigh. He hugged his mother tightly, suppressing the urge to cry, and whispered to himself.

The child, unusually lively and playful, nestled obediently in Jiang Kefan's arms, quietly listening to him express his longing for his mother.

The mother and son had a brief four-day reunion before parting ways again.

Xia Junxi saw Jiang Hua crying her heart out beside him, but he was powerless to help. Jiang Hua's heart was not with him, and he could not give her the happiness she wanted. All he could do was quietly accompany her and comfort her.

As the cabin slowly took off, Jiang Hua's emotions plummeted to their lowest point. Although she had mentally prepared herself for the separation, the pain of parting from her child was even deeper than she had imagined.

Jiang Hua couldn't help but run towards the direction the plane was taking off; she just wanted to be closer to Jiang Kefan, even closer.

Seeing Jiang Hua run after the plane, Xia Junxi hurriedly followed. As she ran, she collapsed from exhaustion and grief.

Xia Junxi quickly hugged Jiang Hua and took her back to the room, and asked the housekeeper to find the family doctor.

The family doctor rushed over and gave Jiang Hua a thorough examination. He told Xia Junxi that she was fine, but had fainted due to excessive grief.

Jiang Hua fell into a coma and slept for two whole days and two nights. During this time, she kept calling out Jiang Kefan's name, which broke Xia Junxi's heart.

After much deliberation, and despite her reluctance, Xia Junxi dialed Gu Yiming's number.

Gu Yiming was in a meeting at the company when his phone rang. He saw that it was Xia Junxi calling and immediately answered the phone. Xia Junxi would not contact him unless there was something wrong. Since he called, it must mean that something must have happened to Jiang Hua.

"Hey, what's wrong?" Gu Yiming asked anxiously.

"Gu Yiming, if you still have feelings for Jiang Hua, come over here right away. Jiang Kefan has left, and she's heartbroken. She cried herself unconscious." Xia Junxi said coldly, and hung up the phone before Gu Yiming could ask any more questions. He hated himself for not being able to make Jiang Hua happy, and he also hated Gu Yiming for not cherishing Jiang Hua's heart and failing to protect her.

After hearing Xia Junxi's words, Gu Yiming's heart jumped. He couldn't concentrate on the meeting and immediately called Jin Yu, asking him to arrange a plane so he could fly to the United States as quickly as possible.

"What about Xu Xiaoxiao?" Jinyu asked.

"Leave Xu Xiaoxiao alone for now, deal with her when I get back. Tell everyone I went to the US on a business trip." After receiving Xia Junxi's call, Gu Yiming panicked. He quickly arranged what he was doing, took a private jet, and flew to the US, arriving at Xia Junxi's manor.

By the time he arrived in the United States, it was already midnight. Jiang Hua had woken up once during that time, drunk some thin porridge, and then fell asleep again. Gu Yiming practically ran all the way through the vast estate to Jiang Hua's room. When he learned that she had fallen asleep again, he stood quietly at the door for a while until his breathing calmed down, then quietly pushed open the door.

Gu Yiming sat gently on the chair at the head of the bed, looking Jiang Hua up and down.

Her beloved was before her, lying quietly in bed, fast asleep. Even in her sleep, her brows were furrowed, as if burdened with endless sorrow.

When Gu Yiming met Jiang Hua again, she was noticeably thinner. Gu Yiming felt extremely guilty, blaming himself for everything. He hated himself for not protecting his lover and child.

His hand gently stroked Jiang Hua's thin face, his heart aching as if it were about to break.
