Chapter 280: The Pit Digged by the Creator

Chapter 280: The Pit Digged by the Creator

Endless mythological systems and fantasy worlds are realized in this dimension.

Fang Yi didn't pay attention to other mythological systems or the realized divine realms of the fantasy world.

He used the light of his soul to look towards the vast divine realm composed of various gods closely connected to each other in the Taoist mythology system.

This is a very large "world".

The thirty-six heavens suddenly appeared before his eyes.

The topmost layer is Daluotian.

Next are the Three Purities and Three Realms.

Then come the other thirty-two heavens.

And each of these heavens is a entity just like the real world.

Various gods recorded in Taoism also live there.

The Jade Pure Yuanshi Tianzun, the Upper Pure Lingbao Tianzun, the Great Pure Daode Tianzun and the Jade Emperor can all be seen clearly.

Fang Yi took a quick glance.

All the gods and immortals that are explicitly recorded in Taoism are included here.

However, none of the gods from Yehu Zen appeared.

Then, he set his sights on the picture that looked like clouds floating above the Daluo Sky.

This picture depicts various lifelike images of gods and fairies.

The names of the gods are also marked next to these statues.

For example, next to Yuqing Yuanshi Tianzun is the standard full name "Qingxuan Zuqi Yuqing Yuanshi Tianzun Miaowushangshang".

Also known as "Yuqing Zixu Gaomiao Taishang Yuanhuang Da Daojun".

There is also a "Name Column" at the back.

But now the word "vacant" is written in the "name column".

"Vacant? What do you mean?"

Fang Yi was a little confused.

He continued to look at each of the gods in the picture.

It took about a while to finish reading it all.

Then, Fang Yi became more and more confused.

Because the "Name Column" behind the title of each deity in this picture says "blank".

“That doesn’t make sense.”

Fang Yi was really puzzled. "According to my understanding of Taoist gods, some gods may not have so-called names, but only titles, such as Yuanshi Tianzun. However, some gods have accurate names, such as the sixty-year Tai Sui gods. Each of them has a name. The Jiazi Tai Sui God is called General Jin Ban, the Dingmao Tai Sui God is called General Chen Xing, and the Four Heavenly Masters are derived from real people, namely Zhang Daoling, Ge Xuan, Xu Xun, and Sa Shoujian."

However, the name column of each god on this "List of Gods" is blank.

This is completely different from what I know.

Fang Yi still doesn't believe it.

He once again turned his "attention" to Buddhism.

In the divine realm composed of all the Buddhas in Buddhism.

There is also a brilliant and colorful "Book of Immortals" above the formless realm.

Or it can be called “The Picture of Many Buddhas”.

This picture of Buddhas is the same as the Book of Immortals.

It records all the Buddhas, Bodhisattvas, Arhats, etc. in Chinese Buddhism.

Moreover, the word "empty" is written in the name column after the Buddha's names.

"How could it be blank? Apart from other things, whether in Buddhist records or historical documents, it is clearly stated that Sakyamuni Buddha's name is Gautama Siddhartha, and Buddhism was also founded by him. How could it be possible that the name column after Sakyamuni Buddha is blank?"

Fang Yi really couldn't figure it out.

He looked back at the Norse mythology, which he was relatively familiar with.

The result is still the same.

For example, the name of the king of the gods in Asgard was originally supposed to be Odin, but now there is a blank at the end.

Even fantasy systems.

The Hulk's name in the Marvel world should be Robert Bruce Banner.

As a result, in this "super picture" of the Marvel world, the name column behind the Hulk also says "blank".

Just when Fang Yi was puzzled.

Sudden!

He thought of the deification talisman "bestowed" upon him by the Queen Mother of the West!

“Wait!”

Fang Yi seemed to have thought of something vaguely.

"Could it be that these immortal records are the legendary Conferred God List?"

Just write your name in the name column behind the titles of these gods.

Will the person with this name become this god?

But think about it, that doesn't make sense.

There are so many people with the same name in real life.

You can't just write a Zhang Wei, and then all the hundreds of thousands of people named Zhang Wei become this god, right?

“Is there any trick to writing names?”

Fang Yi suddenly thought of the List of Gods in "The Investiture of the Gods".

Is there no one with the same name in there?

But wasn’t he deified accurately in the end?

Maybe it is to merge the "soul" or "primordial spirit" with the immortal list?

Think of this.

Fang Yi recalled another incident.

Just before setting off to explore outer space, he had met Mei Junyan once.

If I remember correctly, at that time Mei Junyan inexplicably said to herself, "Don't be deified."

Perhaps what Mei Junyan meant by "don't confer gods" was not referring to using the conferring talismans "bestowed" by the Queen Mother of the West to confer gods.

But it means not to use the Gods List to deify gods?

Or maybe, neither the Deification Talisman nor the Book of Immortals can be used to deify gods?

Fang Yi guessed that in order to accurately deify the gods, one must merge the soul or spirit with the Book of Immortals. Combined with what Mei Junyan said, "Don't deify the gods", it seems to make sense.

So he made a bolder guess.

Using the God List to deify people might be a trap set by the will of the universe or the Creator.

As long as a cultivator is deified, his consciousness will be swallowed up by the will of the universe or the creator, and he will eventually disappear from the list of gods?

Once the will is devoured.

This position of deity will become vacant again.

Waiting for the next "good fortune"?

Fang Yi felt that his analysis made sense.

Why?

Take the Jade Emperor for example.

According to the records of Taiwanese Taoism.

The Jade Emperor is a "professional".

There is a term of office.

The Jade Emperor officially entered the scope of official worship during the Song Dynasty.

After Emperor Zhenzong of Song signed the Treaty of Chanyuan, there was a lot of discussion and criticism in the court and the country.

In order to stabilize people's hearts, Song Zhenzong twice claimed that he had obtained the "Book of Heaven" and "the order to govern the lower parts" from the messengers sent by the Jade Emperor to consolidate his position. He also included the Jade Emperor in official ceremonies, set up a statue of the Jade Emperor in the Zifu Hall, and conferred the title of "Taishang Kaitian Zhuifu Yuli Hanzhen Tidao Jade Emperor".

Taoism has very clear records about who the Jade Emperor is.

According to the Collection of the Original Acts of the Most High Jade Emperor, the Jade Emperor was the prince that was born from the prayers of the Queen of the "Kingdom of Light and Joy" trillions of years ago to Li Dan, the founder of Taoism.

Soon after he was born, the prince devoted himself to practicing Taoism for 200 years and became a Daluo celestial being.

After millions of years of practice, he finally became the Jade Emperor.

However, the Taoist Jade Emperor is not completely identical to the Jade Emperor worshipped by the government or the Jade Emperor in folk beliefs.

The official Jade Emperor and the Lord of Heaven and Earth have been united since the Song Dynasty.

The Jade Emperor of Taoism has always been subordinate to the Three Pure Ones of Taoism.

However, as Taoism became more and more popular, especially after it interacted with folk beliefs, the perception of the Jade Emperor became increasingly diverse, and there was even talk of a rotation of candidates.

The idea of replacing the Jade Emperor first appeared in the Southern and Northern Dynasties.

At this time, the legend of the "rotation" of the Emperor of Heaven, that "Emperor Cao Ming replaced Emperor Zhang Tian", appeared among the people.

The Zhang Tiandi here is most likely Zhang Jue, the leader of the Yellow Turban Army in the late Han Dynasty.

But some scholars believe that it was Zhang Daoling, who was commonly known as "Zhang Tianshi".

In the Tang Dynasty, there was another story about Zhang Jian, a man from Yuyang, who took advantage of the time when the Emperor of Heaven, Liu, came to earth to kill him, then secretly rode on the Emperor's horse to heaven to seize the throne and become the new Emperor of Heaven.

It can be seen that in folk beliefs, there is no consensus on the choice of the Jade Emperor.

During the Northern Song Dynasty, the Taoist book "Yunji Qiqian" recorded a sentence: "The three generations of heavenly masters are Yuanshi Tianzun in the past, Taishang Yuhuang Tianzun in the present, and Jinque Yuchen Tianzun in the future."

However, Tai Shang is the disciple of Yuanshi Tianzun.

Since the last emperor's half kalpa, Yuanshi Tianzun abdicated, which probably means that the Jade Emperor succeeded Yuanshi Tianzun and will abdicate again in the future.

The Jade Emperor of Taiwan has now been passed down to the 19th generation.

The Jade Emperor's name is "Zheng Chenggong".

The eighteenth Jade Emperor is "Guan Yu".

"From this speculation, my idea is very likely correct. If you actively use the God-conferring Talisman or the Godly Book to confer a deity, your own will will be devoured by the will of the universe or the Creator."

Thinking of this, Fang Yi couldn't help but feel a chill down his spine.

The means used by the will of the universe or the Creator are truly too "vicious"!

"Fortunately, I have obtained enough information before and know that I cannot use the God-Conferring Talisman or the Godly Book to become a god. Otherwise, if I see the opportunity to become a god, I may not be able to resist the temptation."

Fang Yi secretly rejoiced.

But new problems arise.

"I understand how to confer gods with the God-conferring Talisman, but how does this Immortal Book confer gods?"

Fang Yi suddenly remembered that the condition for becoming a god was to cultivate the Yang God.

According to Taoist legends, once one cultivates the Yang Spirit, one can ascend to become an immortal.

Fang Yi had thought about this question before.

Humans can now explore Mars.

Where can you ascend to?

Now he finally has the answer.

That’s right, it’s about ascending to the sixth dimension, a world where fantasy becomes “real”!

"It seems that Yang Shen not only possesses the powerful power of a star, but also has many mysteries, such as ascending to the sixth dimension."

Fang Yi roughly guessed how the gods were enshrined in the Book of Immortals.

If nothing unexpected happens, the Yang God should ascend to the sixth dimension and then merge into the "Character Map of Gods and Immortals", thus becoming a true god.

He remembered that the introduction of the Deification Talisman was that once one became a god, one would possess the power of that god, including all the magical powers that the god mastered.

"If I use the Immortal Book to name myself Yuanshi Tianzun, wouldn't that mean I have the power to create the universe?"

I have to say, this temptation is indeed huge.

It’s a pity that Fang Yi has already analyzed the bad intentions of the universe or the Creator, so he will never deify himself.

"I can figure out these problems, but can't those ancient cultivators who are more powerful than me think of these drawbacks?"

Although he was sure that he could not deify himself, Fang Yi still had doubts and really couldn't figure out what was going on.

Perhaps the answers to the doubts in your heart are hidden in a higher dimension.

Fang Yi retreated from the sixth dimension.

The next moment, he used the magical power of the Queen Mother of the Nine Heavens to summon the little sun.

The light suddenly illuminated the seventh dimension.

Just a tiny bit away from illuminating the eighth dimension.

Fang Yi estimated that only if he cultivated the Yang God would he be able to use this magical power to illuminate the eighth dimension.

"Ignore all that for now and see what's going on in the seventh dimension."

Fang Yi looked over carefully.

I saw a "Mother Ocean of the Universe" appear in the seventh dimension.

"Well……"

Fang Yi was confused, "Why is there another cosmic mother sea here?"

He was really confused.

Look at the universe inside the mother ocean of the universe.

I couldn't see anything at first.

Until Fang Yi discovered several universes whose development history was almost identical to that of the Earth.

"Hey, there are thousands of universes with a history similar to the one Earth is in."

Fang Yi reviewed them one by one, and was shocked to find out.

This is actually a parallel universe!

He didn't understand for the time being why there were thousands of parallel universes here.

But Fang Yi could clearly see that these parallel universes stopped "evolving" after reaching a certain stage.

For example, in one of the parallel universes, the time period stopped before "Wang Mang usurped the Han Dynasty."

There was no "Wang Mang" in this parallel universe, it only developed until about 45 BC.

For example, in another parallel universe, the development reached the moment before "Wu Sangui" was born.

There are too many parallel universes in different time periods.

Fang Yi seemed to have a premonition of something. "Could it be that these parallel universes have been tampered with by someone? For example, time travelers and reborn people have disrupted the course of history. Once the time travelers and reborn people die or leave this parallel universe, the course of history will come to an abrupt halt?"

Ordinary people definitely cannot travel through time or be reborn.

Even Fang Yi can't travel through time now.

Therefore, anyone who can travel through time and go back to the past to disrupt the course of history must have extremely high cultivation levels.

But the confusion arises again.

Why do these powerful transcendents, whose cultivation is so high that they can cross the barriers of time, want to travel through time?

And after traveling through time, why do parallel universes with interrupted historical processes form in the seventh dimension?

Fang Yi vaguely felt that the seventh dimension might be the legendary time dimension.

Unfortunately, however, he did not find anything extraordinary in these parallel universes.

"When I master the ability to travel through time and space, I may be able to solve the secret."

Fang Yi didn't pursue the matter any further.

Or rather, I don’t have the ability to delve deeper.

These questions will naturally be answered one by one when your cultivation reaches a higher level.

Let’s deal with external matters first.

Fang Yi's soul returned to his body and he laughed dumbly: "Although I am not an entertainment star, it seems that I will hold a real 'world tour concert' next."
