Jie Ming discovered he had transmigrated, his golden finger being the Immortal Cultivation Encyclopedia [Great Dao Book Pavilion] . But why had he crossed into a wizard world?!
The Star Ring ...
Chapter 442 Void Battleship
Arriving at the door of Professor Clark's seemingly simple office, which actually had its interior space expanded through multiple folds, Jemin gently knocked.
"Enter."
A calm voice came through.
Jemin pushed open the door and entered.
The interior scene was almost exactly the same as I remembered.
Piles of ancient scrolls coexisted harmoniously with shimmering data screens, and the air was filled with the faint scent of parchment mixed with energy ink.
Professor Clark sat behind his large desk, still looking slightly tired and with a receding hairline, his gray robe plain and almost worn.
He was staring intently at a complex, dizzying light screen in front of him, which was filled with symbols and formulas that Jemin could not understand at all.
Hearing Jemin's footsteps as he entered, he merely raised his eyes slightly and nodded.
"They're here."
His tone was so calm, as if he were greeting a student he saw every day.
“Mentor, it’s time.” Jemin respectfully performed a wizard’s salute.
In response, Professor Clark grunted in agreement, quickly swiped his fingers across the light screen a few times, seemingly completing a certain verification step, and then casually turned off the light screen.
He stood up, straightened his robe sleeves which were actually wrinkle-free, and turned his gaze to Jemin.
Let's go.
There were no pre-battle discussions, no special preparations, and not even the slightest sense of tension.
His calm demeanor made it seem as if he wasn't dealing with a living plane that had spiraled out of control and posed a threat to several high-ranking wizards, but simply going out to the cafeteria for a meal or to the library to look up some information.
Jemin was already used to this, and felt more at ease.
He knew his mentor's personality very well.
He appears aloof and taciturn, but is extremely meticulous in his actions.
Beneath this apparent "lack of preparation" lies the fact that all necessary deductions have already been completed, and all contingency plans and trump cards have been prepared.
Professor Clark would not do anything he was not confident about, much less risk the safety of his students.
"Yes, mentor."
Without asking any further questions, Jemin simply nodded respectfully and followed Mentor Clark into the small, permanently installed teleportation array in the office.
Light flashed, and space shifted.
When their vision cleared again, the two found themselves in an unfamiliar environment.
This is a standard metal room, with walls, floor, and ceiling all made of a matte silver-gray alloy, the surface of which is etched with fine and regular energy-conducting patterns.
The air was slightly cool, carrying the unique freshness of the circulating purification system, as well as a very faint trace of the isolated void radiation.
Jemin subconsciously released his reconnaissance magic and instantly sensed the energy flow and structural information of the surroundings.
“This energy operation method…is not a fixed base…it’s a mobile vehicle.” A hint of surprise flashed in his eyes as he examined it more closely. “The energy core is located in the middle to rear section, with astonishing power…the outer structure is composed of at least seven different types of defensive materials…the internal space has a very high folding coefficient…and it also has a standard shipboard gravity field and ecological maintenance system…”
He couldn't help but marvel inwardly.
He recognized it; it was a warship capable of navigating the endless chaotic void for extended periods!
Moreover, judging from the perceived energy level and structural complexity, it is by no means a standard mass-produced item, but definitely a high-end customized or modified masterpiece.
"Senior Viola really went all out this time," Jemin thought to himself.
The value of such a void warship is probably no less than that of a relatively barren small plane.
It seems that she takes this operation much more seriously than she appears to.
Just then, a spherical silver construct silently glided in front of the two, emitting a soft, neutral electronic voice: "Lord Clark, Lord Jemin, Lady Viola is waiting in the control room. Please follow me."
The construct led the way, and the two followed behind, passing through a series of metal corridors of the same style.
Occasionally, you can see other structures with different functions performing maintenance tasks along the way. The interior of the warship is well-organized, but there are almost no living crew members to be seen, indicating a very high degree of automation.
Soon, they arrived at the control room located at the front of the warship.
The heavy alloy doors slid open to the sides, revealing a much larger space.
Directly in front is a huge, curved observation window... or rather, some kind of more advanced porthole display system.
The sides and rear are filled with layers of control consoles, light screens, and data stream display panels.
Many of the panels are completely empty, yet they still operate automatically.
Viola stood next to the central control panel.
Compared to when I met her five years ago in the Purgatory Sulfur Plane, the fatigue on her face was more obvious, and there were even faint dark circles under her eyes, clearly indicating that she had expended a great deal of energy during this period.
But her eyes remained sharp, and her posture remained upright.
“Mentor, junior.” Viola nodded to the two of them as a greeting, her tone less lazy than usual and more serious. “The situation is relatively stable for now, but the peaks of internal spiritual fluctuations are becoming more and more frequent. Let’s get into position.”
Jemin's attention, however, was completely drawn to the view outside the porthole.
Outside the window, there was not a starry sky or anything like that, but a scene that could not be described with conventional colors, like a chaotic mess after all the paint had been spilled and stirred violently.
This is the chaotic void.
There is no concept of up, down, left, or right here, no stable matter exists, only distorted light and shadow, broken fragments of matter, and silent, surging turbulent void energy.
And in this chaotic "not far away", a spherical area stands out conspicuously.
It presents a vibrant yet somewhat discordant green, like an emerald inlaid on a chaotic canvas.
This is the external projection of the plane controlled by the Starfall Wizard—the "Falling Star Plane"—in the chaotic void, a manifestation of its dimensional barrier.
But at this moment, this green dimensional barrier has been covered by something more conspicuous, even somewhat ferocious.
Several layers of unimaginably large crimson magic arrays, like layers of chains and nets, tightly wrapped the outer perimeter of the green dimensional barrier.
These magic arrays, composed of countless extremely complex runes and energy lines, float silently in the void, slowly rotating and emitting extremely oppressive energy fluctuations.
The crimson light reflected off the green of the dimensional barrier, creating an eerie and awe-inspiring area in the void.
The dimensional restraint device... and it seems to have been activated ahead of schedule and entered a state of continuous operation in preparation for suppression.
Jemin gazed out the window at the green plane heavily enveloped by crimson magic circles and slowly took a breath.
It seems that Viola's so-called "let's see how things go" meant that she had already prepared for the worst from the very beginning.
