Su Yan was reincarnated as a goblin, the lowest-ranked demon. In order to get revenge, he laid low frantically in the early stages.
Seeing through the wickedness of human nature, he completel...
Koos frowned, his already serious face now shrouded in deep worry. His lips trembled slightly, and he finally couldn't help but speak, "Are we really going to stand here and watch him walk step by step towards the abyss of death without offering a helping hand? Isn't this too cruel, too heartless?"
Yet, facing Koeus's questioning and doubts, Kronos remained unwavering. He shook his head solemnly, his voice deep and powerful, as if emanating from deep within his chest: "How? Think carefully. Given this complex and perilous situation, if we act rashly, not only will we fail to save him, but we'll also put ourselves in extreme danger. The ultimate consequence could be the loss of our precious lives! Without a viable and foolproof rescue plan, any rash action we take would undoubtedly lead to our own demise. Even I might not be able to escape this disaster!"
Kronos's resounding words struck Coeus like a bolt from the blue. Instantly, Coeus felt as if struck by a crushing blow. He stood there frozen, completely unable to think or react. Time ticked by, and all around him was a dead silence, broken only by the gentle rustling of leaves in the breeze.
After a long moment, Koos slowly raised his head, as if awakening from a dream. His eyes were no longer filled with the previous hesitation and confusion, replaced by a steadfast determination. He gritted his teeth and spoke word by word, "Even so, I'm determined to give it a try! Even if there's only the slimmest hope of survival, I won't give up easily! Because, for me, to watch my companions fall into despair without helping them would be a lifelong shame and regret that I'll never let go of!"
At this crucial moment, Iapetus, who had been silent as a statue, suddenly leaped out from the side like lightning, his figure instantly capturing everyone's attention. Then, he roared in agreement, "Yes, I'm willing to go along too! This damned goblin is so arrogant and domineering! How dare it treat us, the great Titans, with such disdain? Does it really think we, the Titans, are useless?"
Iapetus' words resonated like thunder in the air, brimming with anger and resentment. Yet, faced with the two men's unwavering resolve and fearless courage, Kronos remained silent, like an iceberg. His stern face remained expressionless, his deep eyes fixed coldly on Iapetus and the other man before him, as if unconcerned by their request for battle.
For a moment, the atmosphere at the scene became extremely tense. Everyone held their breath, nervously observing Kronos's reaction. And just as the two sides were deadlocked, suddenly, a terrifying and miserable scream suddenly pierced the sky without warning. The sound was so sharp and piercing that it seemed to be able to penetrate the human soul and reach the sky.
Hearing this sudden scream, everyone present couldn't help but feel their hearts tighten, and an ominous premonition came over them. Almost at the same time, they all turned their heads and looked down.
Upon seeing this, everyone was stunned. Hyperion, once so vigorous and majestic, was now under a terrifying attack. His powerful frame had been entangled by a mysterious and immensely powerful force, like a giant python gripping its prey. As the force continued to contract and twist, Hyperion's body began to twist and deform in a strange way. His bones crackled, as if ready to break at any moment. Meanwhile, blood gushed from his wounds, splattering everywhere and staining the surrounding ground a crimson.
With every desperate struggle, Hyperion felt as if an invisible hand were gripping his throat, mercilessly draining away the last shreds of his soul. His eyes were wide and bloodshot, nearly bulging from their sockets. His mouth gaped open, and from the depths of his throat emanated a continuous stream of blood-curdling, heart-wrenching wails. The sound was piercing, like the cries of a demon being tortured from the depths of Hell, sending chills down one's spine and tingling its scalp.
Time slipped slowly yet relentlessly like the sands of an hourglass. For Hyperion, every second was an unbearable torture. This agonizing torment felt like a dark maze from which he could never escape, with no end and no hope. Though he struggled with all his might, attempting to break free from the shackles of fate, he gradually realized how small and insignificant his own strength was before the might of fate.
Finally, after a long and brutal ordeal, a deafening boom echoed. Hyperion's once towering and muscular frame could no longer withstand the immense pressure, collapsing like a weathered, crumbling mountain. Instantly, dust and debris flew everywhere. The once solid structure began to crumble, disintegrating into countless tiny fragments. These fragments shimmered faintly, like tiny stars in the night sky, beautiful yet fleeting. They danced in all directions, then vanished into the night at a breathtaking speed, as if they had never existed.
