Xiao Cheng is dragged into a game world, weak, helpless, and suffering from amnesia. Faced with mentally challenged NPCs, a teammate who seems like a big shot obsessed with finding bugs, and unreli...
The sharp claws cut two deep gashes on Xiao Cheng's palm, the tips of which had barbs that embedded themselves into the flesh.
But she seemed completely oblivious, waving the half-human-length ant in her hand with a look of disgust: "What disgusting thing."
Then, turning to Fang He with a puzzled look, she asked, "What are you being careful of?"
Fang He: "..." He couldn't even stand up straight.
Xiao Cheng looked at him, then at the ant whose neck he had snapped in his hand, and paused awkwardly for a moment: "You know I'm strong."
Fang He: "..."
"I...I'll go take care of this." After reflecting on her actions, Xiao Cheng decided to restrain herself in front of Fang He and headed towards the bathroom with the ants in her arms.
Fang He: "...Dispose of the ant corpses?"
Xiao Cheng remained silent.
What could she do? The ant teeth were inseparable from her hand. If she dealt with them in front of Fang He, wouldn't that just make her even more unrestrained?
Fortunately, Fang He didn't investigate further, and even thoughtfully turned his back to her because the bathroom was made of transparent glass.
However, Xiao Cheng didn't plan to delve into it further.
The ant's teeth weren't embedded too deeply, but the barbs were a bit troublesome. Relying on her endurance and good physique, Xiao Cheng pulled it out skin and flesh, then threw the ant's corpse aside and began to concentrate on rubbing her hands.
She rubbed her hands for a long time until the cuts on her hands had almost stopped bleeding before turning off the water and leaving.
Fang He still had his back to her.
"I'm ready," Xiao Cheng greeted him. "Are the comments back? Any new clues?"
"No." Fang He shook his head. "And it disappeared quickly, though not as densely as before. At least you can still see some things clearly."
Xiao Cheng was shocked: "So what did they say? A reward? My amazing performance, doesn't it deserve a reward?!"
"They condemned your excessive violence and even complained about why there was no reporting function."
Xiao Cheng: "..."
Seeing her bewildered expression, Fang He couldn't help but laugh out loud: "Just kidding, they said you're really handsome."
Xiao Cheng: "..."
"Okay, I was right, you're really good." Fang He sighed. "Were you injured just now?"
"No." Xiao Cheng answered with particular confidence, taking advantage of her healed wound, "Just a mere ant."
Fang He didn't say anything, but gave her a meaningful look, walked into the bathroom, and picked up the ant with its broken neck.
The tooth still had remnants of flesh and blood on it.
Xiao Cheng: "..." Damn it, even the wisest can make a mistake. She forgot about this.
"Where are you hurt?" Fang He asked casually, tossing aside the dead ants.
"The injury is..." Xiao Cheng felt inexplicably guilty, but then she thought that Fang He had nothing to do with her, and besides, this was an incomplete Fang He. Why should she feel guilty? So she instantly felt confident again, "No injury, I said no injury!"
Fang He: "..."
"Take a look at the hardness of those ants' teeth. See if they can break the iron bars," Xiao Cheng quickly changed the subject.
Fang He didn't delve any further. He twisted the two pincers off the ant's head and walked to the door as if carrying two sickles.
"I don't think it will work." He tapped the railing with his tortoise teeth, but it didn't leave a mark. If he used more force, the tortoise teeth would probably be the first to give way.
"Sigh, there's nothing we can do about it then." Xiao Cheng sighed dejectedly, staring sadly at the corpses of ants on the ground. He then let out a loud wail, "Son, you really died a terrible death!"
Fang He: "..." What kind of species diversity is this?
The large iron gate didn't react at all. Xiao Cheng howled a couple more times, and realizing that this method wouldn't work, he sighed in disappointment: "It's my fault. I killed it too early. I should have left it with half a breath to recognize a mother."
Fang He: "..." I'm afraid that won't work either.
"So it seems we can only use the most rudimentary method." Xiao Cheng held up the pair of protruding canine teeth, gestured a couple of times towards the base of the wall, and then dug down hard without saying a word.
Chunks of soil fell down in a flurry, and the two men dug quickly, soon creating a side door that was just big enough for them to pass through.
"There's no need to describe the dog hole so euphemistically." Fang He carefully used his toothed claws to tamp down the edges of the hole, making sure it wouldn't suddenly collapse.
"It's not like you're not coming out of here." Xiao Cheng gestured to indicate the size of the hole, then patted his shoulder meaningfully. "Take care of yourself, buddy."
The two men carefully put away their two tortoise teeth and left the room covered in dust. Although they were only separated by an earthen wall, they had the illusion of seeing the light of day again.
Above their heads, the previous side quests had been silently crossed out, replaced by new bullet comments.

[Main Quest 2 from Live Stream Users: Order]
“It’s different now. Our side quest isn’t considered complete. Although there’s no penalty, the queen ant that should have appeared normally is also missing,” Fang He said.
"We'll talk about the Queen Ant if we really need to. So, what's the next step? To the main hall, or continue?" Xiao Cheng turned her head to look around. After walking a little further, the room marked with the XY nameplate was right next to it.
“As night falls, the night is always associated with danger.” Fang He pondered for a moment. “It will only get more dangerous if we delay. Let’s continue. At worst… we can take another shortcut.”
"Then let's continue." Xiao Cheng had no objections and took the lead, walking towards the room in front.
The door wasn't locked; it opened with a push. Xiao Cheng peeked inside, then suddenly paused, her expression turning serious.
"What's wrong?" Fang He became alert at the same time, took two quick steps and reached out to pull Xiao Cheng behind him.
But I was rejected.
"Ah, it's nothing." Xiao Cheng subtly blocked his view into the room. "I just suddenly realized that I'm covered in dirt and I'm really filthy. There's a bathroom in there, so it shouldn't be too much to ask to use it for a shower, right?"
"So wait for me outside." Her eyes were heavy with emotion. "It should be alright, right, Fang He?"
Fang He watched silently as the door closed in front of him.
He was a little taller than Xiao Cheng, and his eyesight was pretty good, so he still managed to see her.
It was a figure standing in the shadows in the corner of the room, with its back to them.
His expression was calm, his posture languid yet his mind tense as he leaned against the wall, staring blankly at the two bullet comments for a while.
Then he lifted his shirt, took out the tooth-shaped object he had put away, and began to meticulously wipe away the dirt on it.
