I Became the Big Brother in the Survival Game

Chapter 74 Grades are Paramount (4)

At seven o'clock in the morning, Xiao Cheng was woken up by the alarm clock. She opened her eyes groggily and saw a huge wreath printed on the top of the bed curtains.

Xiao Cheng: "..." In other words, it feels like being laid to rest in peace.

Her roommate was no longer in the dorm. There were two eggs on the altar, still warm, with a note underneath. The handwriting was the same as the timetable, indicating that it was breakfast for Xiao Cheng.

What an amazing NPC!

Xiao Cheng was surprised to receive such treatment and, feeling flattered, ate her egg while looking for her textbook on today's schedule.

The eggs were still bland and tasteless, but at least they were hot, which was much better than the noodles from last night.

As Xiao Cheng threw away the eggshells, she glanced at the wall with lingering fear, and seeing that it was bare and empty, she breathed a slight sigh of relief.

Thankfully, the dog game still had some limits and didn't go so far as to let her eat the eggshell as well.

The course schedule here is quite monotonous, with only three subjects: Chinese, Mathematics, and English. These are taught in shifts, alternating between half-day sessions and evening self-study sessions. It is also noted that there will be three random tests every week.

"What a miserable student life," Xiao Cheng couldn't help but complain. With 7:30 fast approaching, she grabbed her textbooks and notebooks and walked out of the dormitory.

Apart from Fang He, all the other players were already waiting downstairs. Player 3 had somehow become familiar with Player 6, and was following him around innocently, subtly showing a sense of dependence.

Liu Xiaoying rolled her eyes. As soon as she saw Xiao Cheng, she rushed over and grabbed her shoulder, saying, "Be careful, Xiao Cheng! You'll be late if you're a few minutes later!"

"It's okay, I'm always good at scouting." Xiao Cheng patted her hand reassuringly. "So when did you give me that nickname?"

"That's clearly a nickname, it's so endearing and easy to remember!" Liu Xiaoying explained seriously. "Think about it, if you die in the dungeon, I can still remember you by looking at your name, Orange, Orange, Xiao Orange, waaaaaah."

Xiao Cheng's lips twitched: "I'm so grateful for your 'what if'."

“You should cherish this. There are very few people for whom I would go to the trouble of thinking of a nickname, and you are one of the rare people who are to my liking.” As Liu Xiaoying spoke, she suddenly raised an eyebrow and shifted her gaze to the stairwell. “There’s someone else who’s even better at timing things than you coming!”

As Xiao Cheng expected, the person who came was indeed Fang He.

He met Liu Xiaoying's scrutinizing gaze with composure, nodded to her politely, and then turned his gaze to Xiao Cheng: "Good morning."

"Ah... good morning." Xiao Cheng felt that he seemed a little strange, but she couldn't quite put her finger on it, so she could only give him a dry reply.

At 7:30, the counselor appeared in front of them on time, smiling as he scanned each person.

"I'm so glad to see you all here. I'm sure you're all getting along well with your roommates. Now, I'll personally lead you to your respective classrooms. Remember to stick close to me, as the campus is quite large and it's easy to get lost."

The teaching building is indeed far from the dormitory, requiring you to walk around two playgrounds, one large and one small.

They were two identical twin towers connected by a long walkway, occupying a considerable area, with a total of seven floors, and the outer walls were painted with a thick layer of white paint.

"The teaching building is on the left, and the office building is on the right," the counselor introduced to them. "All the academic affairs staff are in the office building, including me. You can come to me anytime if you have any questions."

There are many classrooms on each floor of the teaching building, but almost all of them are locked, with only one classroom on each floor in normal use. Each player's classroom is assigned according to their student ID number, and Xiao Cheng happens to be on the seventh floor.

A class nameplate hangs at the classroom door.

Class 1 (7)

The room was almost full of students, silently turning the pages of their textbooks, all with their heads bowed low, as if they wished they could disappear into the books.

A young female teacher stood on the platform. Her face, devoid of features, bore the bold character "Liu." She wore black high heels and held a slender silver metal pointer, surveying the students below.

"Ms. Liu." The counselor gently knocked on the classroom door. "The new exchange student has arrived."

Teacher Liu tilted her head slightly: "I understand, let her in."

After Xiao Cheng entered the classroom, the counselor seemed to have finally completed her task and immediately turned and left. She stood alone beside the podium, quietly waiting for the next instructions.

But Teacher Liu seemed to completely ignore her, turning around to pick up the chalk and start writing on the blackboard.

The chalk made a clicking sound on the blackboard.

The words "Chinese class, Teacher Liu" were written at the top right of the blackboard.

The students, who had been engrossed in their studies, all looked up at once, revealing faces that seemed to be copied and pasted, all bearing the word "student."

Then they suddenly clapped loudly and shouted in unison three times, "Welcome, new student!"

Then, deathly silence fell once again.

"Welcome, new student. May I see your student ID?" Teacher Liu put down the chalk, turned to face Xiao Cheng, and asked in a gentle tone.

"Oh, of course." Xiao Cheng took out his student ID and handed it to her.

"Don't worry about it, I just want to see your background. Of course, I know exchange students are always excellent, and you are no exception..."

Ms. Liu's words came to an abrupt halt. Her hand trembled as she pointed to the initial score on the student's ID card, her voice rising involuntarily, almost cracking: "Zero points?! Why is your initial score only zero points?!"

Xiao Cheng was completely bewildered. Shouldn't it have been a zero?!

"You are the worst student I've ever seen!"

Furious, Teacher Liu threw the student ID back into Xiao Cheng's hand and brandished her pointer, the slender metal rod leaving several crisscrossing marks on the wooden podium.

"Zero points! Even the mentally challenged students in our class get thirty points! You are a disgrace to my teaching career! I have never seen such hopeless trash as you!"

"Get to the last row and sit there! You only deserve to sit with trash!"

Xiao Cheng stood there silently, letting it go in one ear and out the other, assuming that Teacher Liu was scolding someone else.

She felt that she had been tricked by the judge, but she had obviously underestimated the place and had completely forgotten to discuss the initial score with Fang He.

This information is clearly stated in the rules.

"What are you still standing here for!" Teacher Liu raised her pointer sharply again.

This time, her movements were a bit too exaggerated. The gleaming pointer came down, drawing an elegant arc, and struck the desk next to the podium. It was sharper than a knife blade, slicing off half of the desk corner from bottom to top.

And that student's half-head.

Warm, viscous liquid gushed out, and the student's face was facing Xiao Cheng. For a moment, she seemed to see a hideous face with its eyes wide open in death.
