After entering the venue and seeing President Kim Sung-in, Park Jin-hyuk walked over and started greeting him.

Jin Chengren pointed at the people beside him and said, "Let me introduce you. These are the presidents of Qingyu's subsidiaries. You may not know some of them yet."

"Hello everyone, I am Park Jin Hyuk." Park Jin Hyuk said with a smile.

The shareholders' meeting was about to begin, and people who were chatting in groups of three or four sat down in their seats.

The agenda of today's shareholders' meeting is to discuss the amendment of the provisions regarding capital increase in the company's articles of association.

The issue of introducing Sampoong's funds failed to pass at the informal board meeting, so Lee Jung-sook planned to amend the company's articles of association to achieve her goal in a roundabout way.

The host walked up to the podium and said, "Dear shareholders, welcome to today's extraordinary general meeting. The agenda for today's meeting is to discuss amending the clause in the company's articles of association regarding the maximum amount of paid capital increase. The current provision caps the amount of paid capital increase at 50 billion, and we plan to amend it to 1.5 trillion."

Such a huge adjustment made the venue quiet down all of a sudden.

"What is the reason for this adjustment?" someone asked below.

"The reason is that we plan to raise the upper limit of paid capital increase in order to raise funds for the upcoming acquisition."

The shareholders began to discuss among themselves.

Usually, paid capital increase will cause the stock price to fall, but recently due to rumors of a struggle for control, Qingyu’s stock price has risen sharply, and it seems that it can withstand the decline caused by paid capital increase.

But at this moment, Jin Chengren stood up and said, "I am Jin Chengren from Qingyu Steel. Today I am not attending the meeting as a company manager, but as a shareholder."

He glanced around at the shareholders in the meeting room and continued, "As far as I know, the third-party capital increase proposal was rejected by Qingyu's board of directors not long ago. Why was the rejected proposal submitted to the shareholders' meeting?"
