He unleashed his most proficient swordsmanship, his sword moves fierce and seemingly intent on annihilating everything.

Each swing of the sword was accompanied by a golden sword aura and a booming bolt of lightning. The sword aura and lightning intertwined to form a series of deadly attacks.

The beast of karma was not to be outdone, constantly waving its claws and engaging in fierce combat with Xu Xinnian.

For a moment, the entire space was filled with flashing light.

Explosions rang out continuously, and the battle between the two unleashed wave after wave of energy storms.

During the battle, Xu Xinnian discovered that although the attacks of the Karmic Beast were powerful, they followed certain patterns.

He seized the opportunity during the attack of the karmic beast and raised his longsword high.

He mobilized all his strength and condensed it into a powerful sword aura containing chaotic energy, lightning power, and karmic force.

The voice of the Thousand-Hand Guanyin was filled with satisfaction: "Congratulations, you may proceed to the next level."

A flash of light appeared before Xu Xinnian's eyes, and he returned to the temple.

The thousand arms of the Thousand-Hand Guanyin statue lit up simultaneously, and beams of light flew toward Xu Xinnian and merged into his body.

Xu Xinnian felt as if his body was filled with a powerful force. His immortal power was increasing rapidly, and the meridians in his body were constantly expanding and strengthening.

"This is the power inherited from the Thousand-Hand Guanyin."

He gently opened his palm, as if to show Xu Xinnian the principles of the world.

Xu Xinnian nodded heavily, his eyes firm: "This junior understands and will keep the Bodhisattva's teachings in mind."

"Go, and remember, power is for protecting, not for flaunting." The voice of the Thousand-Armed Guanyin gradually faded into the distance, until it finally disappeared completely...

Xu Xinnian nodded.

He stood up, turned around, and walked out of the temple.

The sunlight shone on him, making his figure appear exceptionally tall and resolute.

After Xu Xinnian walked out of that solemn temple.

The entire space it occupied seemed to have been quietly blown away by an invisible wind...

Then, it vanished without a trace, as quickly as a mirage.

Xu Xinnian only felt the scene flash by, and by the time he came to his senses...

I found myself standing once again on the familiar steps.

Although the Thousand-Hand Guanyin statue on the steps is still so lifelike, it seems to have lost a trace of its spiritual charm.

It looked like a dead object again, devoid of any vitality.

Shifting his gaze, Xu Xinnian's eyes were fixed on the Buddha statue at the very top—Ksitigarbha!

The Buddha statue appears as a monk, wearing a robe, with a compassionate and solemn expression.

His left hand steadily held a dazzling pearl, radiating a warm glow.

In his right hand he held a long tin staff, which was engraved with strange runes and patterns.

Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva sits atop a giant blue lotus with a thousand petals, the petals layered upon each other, displaying a dazzling array of colors.

As we all know, Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva, with a heart of great compassion, went deep into hell, wishing only to liberate all sentient beings in the six realms before attaining Buddhahood. He vowed to liberate all beings in hell, and thus made the great vow: "I will not become a Buddha until hell is empty; I will not attain Bodhi until all sentient beings are liberated."

They spared no effort to rescue the evil spirits trapped in the eighteen levels of hell, helping them escape suffering and ascend to the Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss as soon as possible.

All of this originated from the two previous incarnations of Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva.

The fact that his mother went to hell for various reasons allowed Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva to witness the cruelty of hell.

In his two subsequent reincarnations, he realized the importance of saving all sentient beings.

He vowed to liberate all beings in hell, and thus made the great vow: "I will not become a Buddha until hell is empty; I will not attain Bodhi until all beings are liberated."

Using the terminology from the Investiture of the Gods or other prehistoric novels.

To put it bluntly, the West wants to interfere in the affairs of the underworld and plant one of their people inside.

That's how Ksitigarbha came to be.

Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva holds an extremely high position in hell, even surpassing the Ten Kings of Hell.

Second only to the Fengdu Emperor, who controls the Netherworld.

Once you successfully overcome the barrier of Ksitigarbha, you will be only one step away from the long-awaited inheritance of the original ancestor!

He took a deep breath and took a firm step forward without hesitation.

The moment he stepped onto the steps where Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva was located.

Suddenly, a magnificent voice, as grand as a great bell, rang in my ears: "I will not become a Buddha until hell is empty!"

Before Xu Xinnian could react, a series of extremely bizarre and terrifying images flashed before his eyes.

It seems to be the legendary eighteen levels of hell.

The various tortures inflicted on evil spirits are enough to make one's scalp tingle.

Going through fire and water is nothing to be ashamed of.

What was truly terrifying was that the little devil pried open the evil spirit's mouth, clamped its tongue with iron pliers, and ripped it out.

Instead of pulling it off all at once, it's stretched out and slowly pulled...

Then they entered the Scissors Hell and the Iron Tree Hell.

It should be the lowest level of the eighteen levels of hell, Avici Hell, also known as the Hell of Incessant Suffering.

Once you enter this level, you're doomed forever!
