The shadows of the old world, the tides of the new era. Light and darkness, chaos and dawn... arise alternately in a world of machinery and witchcraft!
But what does this have to do with me, ...
In a remote corner of the academy, Jasper and Alice were still making final preparations.
“Damn it, damn it, damn it…”
He knocked hard on the wall in front of him a few times.
"Why can't I learn magic?" Jasper was close to collapse. It was already the last minute, but he still couldn't use magic.
Every time I cast magic, my body would change, the halos would become stronger and stronger, but no magic would be formed.
It's so weird.
"Don't worry, Jasper."
"How can I not be anxious... The selection competition is coming up soon. If I can't do this, I'm afraid I'll be the first one to finish last."
He squatted on the ground with his head in his hands.
There is no other way. I used to be able to waste time freely, but now when I am dragged onto the competition field, I am unable to fight with my limited ability.
Alice next to him was also anxious...
I looked around but couldn't think of any good solution.
Alice suddenly thought of the hands of a passing campus guard.
"That's right, Jasper. Otherwise, you can use a weapon."
"arms?"
"Well, a sword is fine. A spear is fine... Didn't you often practice with them in the fields? If you use weapons, I believe you can defeat at least one or two people and not be the last one."
"But how do weapons counter magic?" Jasper asked in confusion.
If someone attacks you with a burst of fire, you're done for.
"But it's better than just doing nothing and getting beaten. At least you can fight with weapons... and the competition says to use whatever you want and stop when you're ready. It doesn't say you can't use weapons."
