She went to the hospital to see her ex-boyfriend who had a broken leg, only to find that his attending physician was the husband she had just gotten a marriage certificate with that morning!
...
"Your brother Haojie will be back in a few days, go to sleep quickly," Ai Zhiyin coaxed.
Han Haojie said "hmm" in a baby voice, turned over from Ai Zhiyin's arms, and crawled into the quilt obediently.
He looked very much like Han Ji, especially his dark eyes. His pupils were like two black beans. He blinked his eyes as he looked at his parents beside the bed.
This is a rare situation where both parents are by Han Haoxuan's side, so he couldn't help but want to take a few more glances at them and was reluctant to sleep at all.
Ai Zhiyin gently stroked Han Haoxuan's forehead and asked softly, "Aren't you sleeping? Why are you still keeping your eyes open?"
Han Haoxuan: "Dad is here."
He didn't explain it clearly, but Ai Zhiyin still understood what Han Haoxuan meant.
Han Haoxuan was not used to sleeping with Han Ji around.
"You go out," Ai Zhiyin turned to Han Ji and said.
Han Ji was stunned for a moment.
He probably didn't expect that he wouldn't be able to watch his son while he slept.
He said nothing, just pulled the corners of his lips awkwardly and walked out of the room.
Wait for Han Ji to leave.
Han Haoxuan looked at Ai Zhiyin, "Mom, why is Dad here?"
What he meant was that Han Ji's appearance before he went to bed was something Han Haoxuan could not understand.
"Because he's my father," Ai Zhiyin said.
Han Haoxuan: "Why wasn't Dad here before?"
Ai Zhiyin couldn't explain it for a moment, so she could only smile and say, "Didn't I tell you, Dad is too busy with work."
Han Haoxuan nodded, not quite understanding.
"Can you fall asleep?" Ai Zhiyin asked.
"I can't sleep." Han Haoxuan said.
"Tell you a story?"
"No," Han Haoxuan said, "I want to hear my mother sing."
"What do you want to hear?"
"Everything my mother sings is beautiful."
Ai Zhiyin smiled contentedly. Han Haoxuan was truly a little angel.
Ai Zhiyin randomly picked a Russian country song and sang it in a slow and soft voice.
For a child of Han Haoxuan's age, lullabies are too childish, and Han Haoxuan is tired of listening to them.
Ai Zhiyin's mother comes from an artistic family. Ai Zhiyin has been carefully nurtured by her mother since she was a child. Her singing is not just ordinary singing.
She has won awards in the country before.
Han Haoxuan felt instantly relaxed and at ease as he listened to the unfamiliar lyrics and beautiful melody. Who doesn't like pleasant sounds?
What's more, she is his mother.
The song is finished.
Han Haoxuan held Ai Zhiyin's hand and said with a smile, "Mom, I love you."
"I love you too, kid," Ai Zhiyin leaned over and kissed Han Haoxuan on the forehead.
"I'm sleepy," Han Haoxuan said, "Maybe I can fall asleep in a while. Mom, go to bed too."
"Well," Ai Zhiyin said, "Mom still has some things to do, so you can go to sleep. You just had a nightmare, are you still scared?"
Han Haoxuan nodded.
Ai Zhiyin, "Mom asked Sister Chunxiao to come and keep you company? I have things to do, so I won't coax you to sleep today, okay?"
Han Haoxuan: "Yeah."
Ai Zhiyin smiled: "How nice."
I have to say, Han Haoxuan is really easy to take care of and has never caused Ai Zhiyin much trouble.
Even Han Hongde said that this child was so obedient that he didn't seem like a child from the Han family.
Han Hongde said that Han Ji and his brothers were not well-behaved at all. They were always causing trouble, and they always did so in groups.
Ai Zhiyin heard everything about Han Ji's past from other people.
The two of them didn't communicate much, and the few "communications" they did have mostly took place in bed.
Han Ji is a gentle person. He is everywhere and always smiling. He never quarrels with others. Although he rarely goes home, he always gives her a bouquet of flowers every time he comes back.
A man with almost perfect family background, appearance and personality, who wouldn't think he is suitable to be a husband?
Ai Zhiyin is no exception.
Ai Zhiyin had considered the marriage with the Han family very rationally. She didn't have anyone she liked, so she got married when the conditions were right.
Han Chi or Han Ji, it doesn’t matter.
To her, it makes no difference who they are. They are all sons of the Han family, and she has no feelings for them.
She wasn't so stupid as to think that she could live a harmonious life with someone she didn't know well and had no feelings for.
People should know how to be content. You cannot be too greedy, not interested in the other person's family background, wanting to possess the other person's marriage, and wanting the other person to love you wholeheartedly.
Ai Zhiyin didn’t.
So she has been very restrained.
Coming out of Han Haoxuan's room, Ai Zhiyin froze when she looked up and saw the person standing at the door.
"You, why are you still here?"
Han Ji smiled gently, "Haoxuan is asleep?"
"Um."
Ai Zhiyin was a little embarrassed.
"If everything is alright..."
"You sing..."
The two of them suddenly spoke at the same time.
Ai Zhiyin wanted to say that if he was fine, she still had something to do.
Han Ji said something she couldn't understand.
Ai Zhiyin: "What do you want to say?"
Han Ji: "It's okay, I just wanted to say that you sing very well."
Ai Zhiyin curled her lips slightly, "I've learned this before. It's too late, go get some rest."
She didn't say hello to Han Ji anymore, and walked around him to go downstairs.
Behind him, Han Ji suddenly asked, "Aren't you going to rest?"
Ai Zhiyin turned around and said, "The kitchen isn't cleaned up yet."
Then he hurried downstairs.
She is also responsible for the aftermath of such gatherings.
Although she doesn't have to do it herself, she has to instruct people on how to deal with leftover food, sort garbage, and prepare breakfast the next day.
Especially if you have drunk some alcohol tonight, it is particularly important to make breakfast the next day.
