The gate tower of the majestic pass is inscribed with three large characters: Hangu Pass!

When Cao Ya arrived here and saw this majestic pass, he felt a surge of emotion.

Then he noticed four people on the city gate tower. They looked different, but all of them gave off an ancient, weathered, and mysterious feeling.

"The Supreme Lord of Morality! The Great Emperor Amitabha! The Great Emperor of Eternal Universe! The Great Emperor of Void!"

The old man, with an air of otherworldly wisdom, shook his head and calmly said:

“You have mistaken me for someone else, benefactor. I am Li Er.”

"I am Shennong," the burly man said calmly, standing in the mist, indistinct and hazy.

"This humble monk is Shakyamuni," the monk said calmly, his hands clasped together.

"I am the Yellow Emperor," the last, unassuming man said in a quiet tone.

"Either is fine." Cao Ya smiled, not dwelling on it.

He knew that these four were new lives born from the connection between the Emperor's corpse and his spirit.

Therefore, the four individuals and the four former supreme beings cannot be considered the same person; they can only be said to have a close relationship.

Because they were born from the corpse of an emperor, the four were born holy and possessed extremely obvious signs of enlightenment. As a result, the quasi-emperors of the ancient times on Earth felt despair and had no choice but to travel far away to avoid the four.

However, due to the constraints imposed by the Emperor's corpse, the four were unable to attain enlightenment.

The Celestial Venerable of Morality, the Great Emperor Amitabha, the Great Emperor of Eternal Universe, and the Great Emperor of Void—they fought their entire lives, but suffered hidden injuries and had long since passed away, their blood and energy withered and decayed. Even if their bodies were buried on Earth, a special ancient star with the effect of nourishing corpses, it would still be impossible to make up for the losses they had suffered.

Moreover, how difficult it must be to break free from the imperial ways of the ancient emperors and forge one's own path.

"Benefactor, has the matter concerning Mars been completely resolved?" Shakyamuni asked.

Cao Ya nodded and briefly recounted his experiences on the ancient star Yinghuo, also mentioning the situation of the Beginningless Bell, the Chaos Green Lotus, and the Undying Emperor's flesh ball.

After listening to his story, the four fell silent, then sighed with emotion.

"Even the Great Emperor has his sorrows," Shennong sighed.

"How can there be a perfect life in this world? Even the Great Emperor Wushi, who was invincible throughout history, still had past events that saddened him. Not only the Great Emperor Wushi, but also the Heavenly Venerables of the mythological era, the emperors of the Primordial Era, and the Great Emperors of the Desolate Era, who did not feel desolation and sorrow in their later years?" The Yellow Emperor's face darkened slightly.

"The cycle of nature is always cyclical, with cause and effect; let nature take its course," Li Er said calmly.

He, coming from the most distant era, sees things most clearly.

The Moral Celestial Venerable was one of the nine Celestial Venerables of the mythological era. Even though he once dominated the universe and had countless legends, millions of years later, everything has vanished into thin air.

The Supreme Lord of Morality has only one name and one set of nine secrets that have been passed down.

However, the lineage of the Amitabha Buddha Emperor, the Jiang family of the Hengyu Emperor, and the Ji family of the Void Emperor still exist, dominating the Big Dipper. Their imperial weapons have suppressed their foundations, and they have remained intact for hundreds of thousands of years.

After the four of them became spiritual beings, they not only had many experiences on the ancient planet Earth, but also traveled to other realms, traversing places such as the ancient planets of Big Dipper, Purple Star, Flying Immortal, and Feathered Ascension.

They also discovered some of the deeds of the three ancient emperors and the mythical celestial being.

Buddha, Shennong, and the Yellow Emperor may have had other feelings.

However, Li Er, who was communicating with the spirit of the Moral Celestial Venerable Emperor's corpse, was not deeply affected by the scarcity of the Moral Celestial Venerable's deeds and the extinction of the Taoist lineage. In the blink of an eye, he was already calm.

Over millions of years, almost everything related to the Moral God has been buried in the dust of history.

The three ancient emperors were different. Their past deeds on the path to enlightenment still circulate throughout the universe, and countless cultivators have read or heard about them.

For this reason, Shakyamuni even went to the western desert of the Big Dipper to visit Mount Sumeru, a Buddhist holy site.

As a result, he was labeled a heretic and evil demon, and Mount Sumeru rebuked him and regarded him as an enemy.

However, due to the power of Shakyamuni, Mount Sumeru was powerless and could only watch helplessly as Shakyamuni left the Big Dipper and set off for other ancient stars.

Li Er also visited the Big Dipper, traveled to the five regions of the world, and saw many people and things.

Of course, the four of them also visited other ancient stars, perhaps leaving behind their own legacy and leaving an indelible mark on the universe, or perhaps not, merely passing through like travelers.

Upon hearing that Cao Ya was a person from the ancient star of the Big Dipper, Shakyamuni laughed and said:

"Have you ever been to the Western Desert, benefactor? I wonder if the Buddhas on Mount Sumeru still regard this humble monk as a heretic?!"

"With the Victorious Fighting Buddha on Mount Sumeru, whose philosophy differs from that of the Great Ancient Buddha, there will likely be a great debate in the future," Cao Ya chuckled.

“Although my path differs from that of the Western Desert Buddhist sect, I know that those like the Great Ancient Buddha must have taken the wrong path,” Shakyamuni said, shaking his head.

"How is the Ji family?" the Yellow Emperor suddenly asked.

Cao Ya answered truthfully, and then briefly mentioned the ancient Jiang family, saying that the two ancient families have produced many geniuses, and that the future Great Saints and Quasi-Emperors should be endless.

“That is their destiny, it has nothing to do with us,” Shennong said.

As they talked, they fell silent about the path to immortality hundreds of years later.

"We arose because of the Emperor's corpse, and are now trapped by the Emperor's Path. Staying on Earth, relying on the Emperor-level array, we can resist the Supreme Beings of the Forbidden Zones, but if we go out... we will be unable to contend with the Ancient Supreme Beings," Shennong said in a deep voice.

“Benefactor Cao Ya, you are destined to attain enlightenment. I wonder if there is any possibility of you achieving enlightenment within the next few hundred years?” Shakyamuni asked Cao Ya.

If a great emperor could emerge in this era, and with their combined efforts, they could definitely hold off several supreme beings from forbidden zones!

However, Cao Ya shook his head.

He also wanted to achieve enlightenment quickly, but the problem was that the conditions didn't allow it!

Cao Ya thought to himself, if he wanted to achieve enlightenment, it would take several thousand years, he shouldn't even think about it!

"Death is but once, what is there to fear? We have already died once before," the Yellow Emperor said calmly.

"Do your best and leave the rest to fate," Li Er said calmly. "If we join forces and risk our lives, we should be able to take one or two Supreme Beings from the Forbidden Zones away."

“Yes, the more supreme beings in the forbidden zones die, the better. The pressure on future emperors will be less, and it will be possible to completely pacify the forbidden zones of life,” Shennong said.

"In the ancient times, many supreme beings in the forbidden zones have died in the battles waged by successive emperors," Shakyamuni murmured.

"The achievements of the ancient emperors are as clear as the sun and moon, and can be witnessed by heaven and earth." Cao Ya had great respect for those many ancient emperors.

Finally, after chatting with the four of them for a while, Cao Ya left Earth and ventured into space.

For many years afterward, Cao Ya traveled to various parts of the universe, saw many ancient life-bearing stars, and learned about many great emperors.

Not every ancient emperor went to Beidou. For example, Emperor Daoyan of the Eternal Star Domain did not relocate his family and settled on the ancient star of Beidou.

After all, while the Big Dipper is special, not every emperor would be willing to leave their ancestral star.
