The Great Pirate Era.
The great seas surge and churn, powerhouses destroy and annihilate, each fighting their own battles. It's utterly—
Demotivating!
I, Russil Kuro, age tw...
If you really can't find a solution, then kill someone!
Kuro could say he's soft-hearted, but he never hesitates.
Hesitation will inevitably lead to defeat.
When Moore heard what Kuro said, he understood and shrugged without saying anything.
There really isn't a good solution right now.
Seawater was useless, and attacks were ineffective against Brant. This thing was just a sentient phantom; it had no offensive capabilities of its own and wouldn't allow others to attack it.
Kuro's bondage isn't permanent; the main problem is that these people can't hold out for that long. How long can they last? One day? Two days? Or three days?
They were starving to death.
As for food... after fighting like this, who would even think about eating? If they were starving for a few days, they'd probably just eat people.
Kuro couldn't possibly provide enough food and clothing for the nearly 100,000 people on the island, nor did he have the logistical support. What if someone bit off one of his subordinates' fingers while feeding them? Who would take care of that?
As for the kingdom...
"Klo, call the Dominican royal family and ask if they want to send someone to organize logistics. Tell them the specific details. If they are willing to send someone to feed us, I can hold out for a while."
Unless a fight breaks out to vent their grievances, this old man cannot move freely.
If it really comes down to energy consumption, Kuro is willing to do it.
Kuro shook his head immediately. "Mr. Kuro, I contacted the Dominican Kingdom before I came here. They also knew about the island. They probably guessed that the Celestial Dragons died here, so they abandoned the island and allowed it to become independent, restoring its former name, Comeric. In other words, this has nothing to do with the Dominican Republic."
Kuro: "..."
"This blame-shifting skill is impressive. They're selling off their inheritance without a second thought, giving up so easily. Why bother conquering it in the first place? Tch, nobles..."
Kuro scoffed dismissively, "Alright, then we won't count on them."
The Dominican Republic is trying to shirk responsibility by abandoning its islands, which means it can't rely on anyone.
"Mr. Kuro, why don't we call and ask higher up..."
Before Kuro could finish speaking, Kuro glared at him and said, "Are you out of your mind? Have you forgotten how I got here?"
Above, which one above?
He was sent here by the World Government. Did he expect the World Government to back out? He hasn't even reported the news of the Celestial Dragons dying here yet. If he did, he wouldn't even last two hours before being ordered to clear the area.
Kuro glanced at Brant, who was waiting there and not moving much, then turned on his Den Den Mushi and dialed a number.
Soon, the Den Den Mushi transformed into a normal face, "Admiral Clow Reed?"
"Is the old man there? Transfer me to him," Kuro said.
He doesn't call the old man directly because it's rare to get through. It's best to have someone find the old man and talk to him in person.
"Yes, I'll be right there!"
The naval officer who answered the phone immediately spoke, and with a series of footsteps, the Den Den Mushi's appearance quickly changed, transforming into a pouting figure.
"Oh~ Kuro, are you looking for me?"
"Borsalino!!!"
Upon hearing the sound, Brant seemed to have activated some kind of mechanism, hissing at the Den Den Mushi and baring its fangs as it charged forward.
Kuro frowned, his body soaring high into the sky.
Below, Brandt stretched out his arms towards the sky, his expression ferocious, "Bolt! I will take my revenge, Borsalino!!"
No matter how hard he tried, only half of his body remained on the ground.
Kuro clicked his tongue, "Like a damn earthbound spirit..."
"Oh~ Someone's calling my name? They seem really angry, how scary." Kizaru said with a pout on the other end of the Den Den Mushi.
“Yes, the trouble you caused back then, old man, do you know Harold King Brandt?” Kuro asked.
"Brandt?"
Kizaru pondered for a moment, "Hmm, this name sounds familiar."
"Yes, back in the Dominican Republic, no, it was on the island of Comoros, that you captured a pirate," Kuro reminded him.
"Oh~ I remember now, that pirate who had a bounty of 300 million for robbing a Celestial Dragon."
Kizaru suddenly realized, "There is such a person. He also escaped. I have quite an impression of him. It's a pity. He robbed a Celestial Dragon."
"Okay, I got it. What are you doing?"
"This old man? This old man is going fishing, and is planning to survey various places to see where a kindergarten can be opened."
"Hey, fisherman? Be careful you don't come back empty-handed."
Kuro said something, then looked down at Brant, who was baring his teeth and claws, and saw him roaring menacingly:
"Borsalino! I've come to take my revenge on you!!"
"Oh~ How terrifying. Is someone seeking revenge against me? Is it that Brandt? Well, I had no choice but to accept what happened back then."
"I understand, don't worry, old man, I can handle it."
Kuro hung up the phone, silently took a puff of his cigar, and let the smoke swirl around his face and drift upwards.
I can probably guess the reason...
However, different stances naturally lead to different actions.
This person may have robbed the Celestial Dragons out of desperation, but I'm not thinking from his perspective. He's a Marine, and he has to consider things from the perspective of the pirates.
"Over 100,000 people..."
Kuro glanced at the densely packed crowd below, bound by his restraints, and muttered to himself, "If you really don't release them, then I really will."
Whether two hours is a long or short time depends entirely on the waiting situation.
If someone has to wait for two hours for no reason, it will feel like a long time.
But if someone has something to do, especially something urgent and they're running out of time, those two hours will fly by.
Kuro wasn't in a hurry, but two hours passed in a flash.
At this moment, eight large warships appeared in the sea behind them and slowly approached.
Kuro didn't launch an attack immediately, but instead instructed Kro: "Let them come over first."
"yes."
Kro nodded and made a phone call.
Soon, the warships docked, and four vice admirals disembarked from the eight warships.
Cass, Wilbur, Firemount, and Doberman!
Why four? Because Lida doesn't count.
Kuro gave the Buster Call equipment to Crow, and Lida accompanied him.
"Mr. Kuro!"
Cass and Wilbur stepped forward to Kuro's side and gave him a standard salute.
"General Kuro."
Doberman and Fire Mountain also saluted him, their expressions solemn.
When status changes, the way you address someone must change, and so must your attitude.
"Ah...it's you two who's here."
Kuro nodded, then asked Cass curiously, "But why are you here? Weren't you in Dressrosa?"
