The Great Pirate Era.
The great seas surge and churn, powerhouses destroy and annihilate, each fighting their own battles. It's utterly—
Demotivating!
I, Russil Kuro, age tw...
"snort!"
Roswald glared at them with displeasure, then forcefully stabbed the tip of his scepter into the slave beneath him. "Get out of here, you beast!"
Half of the scepter was hidden in the slave's back.
The slave didn't react at all, and started crawling forward.
Kuro followed the main group, walking while looking at the slave mounts under the Celestial Dragons.
The huge slave passed by them, and for a fleeting moment, he turned his head slightly and his lips trembled.
Kuro paused slightly and looked back.
After a long silence, he sighed softly.
His pupils suddenly contracted.
"Eye Sword".
With a soft murmur, the giant slave's body trembled and it fell to the side, throwing Roswald off its back to the ground.
"Saint Rozwald!"
The guards were all shocked and stood around Roswald, at a loss for what to do.
A Celestial Dragon fell down! This is a big deal.
"Quickly, call a doctor! Call a doctor! Saint Roswald is injured!"
The guard who had spoken earlier became even more panicked, gesturing wildly around.
"It's so noisy!"
Bang!
Roswald pulled out a golden pistol, fired at the guard, and shot him in the chest, splattering blood.
The guard clutched his chest, stretched out his hand in disbelief, and stammered, "Rhodes...Ward...Saint, I...I was utterly loyal..."
His body also fell to the ground.
Roswald was helped to his feet, completely ignoring the guard who had just fallen, and instead fired several more shots at the slaves.
"Damn lowlife, he died before even getting me to our destination. Hey, I'm a Celestial Dragon! Get up and carry me up!"
The slave's body trembled a few times under the gunshots, which seemed to give him some strength. He struggled to turn his head and look at Kuro, who was watching him. His lips trembled again.
Eventually, his eyes lost their light, and he breathed his last.
He died with a slight smile on his lips.
Kuro exhaled a puff of smoke and stopped, ignoring the shouts and yells behind him.
The huge man hesitated twice.
The first time was: "Help me."
The second time was: "Thank you."
"The Celestial Dragons are so scary."
Kizaru asked in surprise, landing beside Kuro and whispering, "Kuro, what did you just do?"
"What did I do? Grandpa, don't talk nonsense. I just noticed that the Celestial Dragon's slave seemed to be failing, so I was just keeping an eye on him."
Kuro shook his head vigorously, like a rattle-drum.
"Oh~ that slave, I remember him, he used to be a pirate." Kizaru thought for a moment and said.
"Pirates..."
Kuro narrowed his eyes and suddenly smiled: "Pirates should be killed by the Navy, or at least die at sea."
But no matter what, that person is in my hands, a member of the navy.
You think it was the Celestial Dragons who killed the pirates?
No, it's me, Kuro-da!!
Akainu's eyes lit up when he heard Kuro's words, and he nodded approvingly, "That's right, we Marines should show no mercy to pirates!"
He looked at Kuro and said, "Are you really not considering joining my ranks?"
What did I say?
What do you mean by that?
You want me to go to the New World with you to fight pirates?!
Just by opening your mouth, I can see Liu Bei, Guan Yu, and Zhang Fei.
"Hehehe, Sakazuki, stop trying to poach my men. It's not easy to find a suitable subordinate," Kizaru said to Akainu with a smile.
"They're all in the navy, it's the same no matter where they are."
Tsuru then spoke, nodding at Kuro: "However, you did well this time. But remember, this is Mary Geoise, not Marine Headquarters."
They were all shrewd people; anyone could see what Kuro was thinking when he exhaled the smoke. But they were willing to play along with Kuro because they also disliked him.
"Grandma Crane, I understand," Kuro nodded.
No one had any objections to this; on the contrary, they felt quite comfortable with it.
Occasionally taking a jab at the Celestial Dragons can be good for your mental and physical health.
...
A group of people entered the golden palace and, led by armored soldiers, made their way through a maze of turns to a conference room.
Tsuru, Garp, and the three admirals took their seats, while the others stood behind these big shots.
Kuro also behaved himself, obediently running behind Kizaru to stand, chewing on a cigar and puffing out smoke.
The Warring States period wasn't there, but the others remained silent, waiting patiently.
About half an hour later, the conference room door was pushed open, and Sengoku, wearing a white naval uniform covered with medals, walked in with one hand in his pocket and went straight to sit in the seat at the head of the table.
"Let's begin. This meeting concerns the future of the world." Sengoku's expression was solemn.
As he spoke, the group of people began to take their words seriously.
"Portgas D. Ace..."
Sengoku glanced at Garp as he spoke, and continued, "Being arrested by Blackbeard put us in a corner, forcing us to take action. The Navy can't hand over one pirate to another; that would be a disgrace to the Navy. We had no choice but to go."
"But this is also an opportunity, a chance for us to wipe out a sea emperor in one fell swoop. By using Portgas D. Ace's name, we can lure Whitebeard into our trap, so I've decided to publicly execute him!"
Upon hearing this, Garp clenched his fist tightly.
Akainu clenched his fist, which glowed with a fiery red light. "This time, we can end the so-called Great Pirate Era!"
"Oh~ How scary, but it's definitely worth a try." Kizaru said, his eyes wide.
"Oh dear, although I expected it, it still feels a bit strange to actually have a war with Whitebeard." Aokiji scratched his head.
“He, you tell us,” said Zhan Guo.
Crane nodded and said, "There is more than just Newgate as the king on the high seas. Since we have decided to go to war, we need to guard against more than just him, lest others take advantage of our weakness."
She paused, then said, "Kaido, that's our second target to watch out for."
Big Mom, one of the four great rulers of the New World, lives a secluded life in her own World of Warcraft, rarely venturing out and usually only inviting others to tea parties.
Red hair is unpredictable, but it usually stays within one's own territory.
Only Kaido, that madman, is unpredictable.
All three admirals had faced Kaido and knew the extent of his madness.
If Whitebeard joins the battle, Kaido will likely get involved as well.
Whitebeard is already terrifying enough; if Kaido joins the fray, the outcome of this war will truly be uncertain.
"Although the higher-ups said they would try to stop Kaido, we must prepare for both possibilities."
Sengoku looked at the three admirals and said, "Our Marine Headquarters must prepare for this war by facing two Yonko!"
The navy naturally has the confidence to back it up.
The three admirals, Sengoku, and Garp—these are some of the strongest fighters.
It's perfectly capable of handling two of the Four Emperors.
