Chapter 29 Safe, Secure, and Unnoticed

However, this was obviously impossible. In fact, the staff all wanted to run away, but Kuro stopped them and wouldn't let them leave.

"Hey, do you guys have any professional ethics? I'm a customer, you know? This place hasn't collapsed yet, right? If it hasn't collapsed, then keep going. Do you know how hard it is for me to win some money? One round, one round, okay? Let's guess big or small. If I win, you give me 60 million. I can't possibly lose."

"Hey, hey, don't go! At least help me exchange the chips!"

The staff completely ignored him and kept running out, so Kuro could only grab one person and patiently explain:

"You can't renege on your promise. If the chips aren't exchanged for money, they're useless to me."

The worker tried to pull away twice, but couldn't break free. The shaking from above was intensifying, and it looked like the ceiling was about to collapse. He cried out in alarm:

"Guest, you can come back another time to exchange it. This place belongs to Crocodile, one of the Seven Warlords of the Sea and a hero of Alabasta. We would never renege on our debt."

I'm only changing it now because of him!

Other people's straw hats are already in the rain, and in a couple of days that crocodile guy will be in jail. How can you keep your business?

"Change it for him."

Just as Kuro was arguing with the staff, a gentle voice sounded from behind.

"Store manager?"

The staff looked behind Kuro.

Robin walked over slowly and said to him, "It was just a little accident. This place won't collapse. After you replace this guest, have someone come back to continue working."

She looked at Kuro and said, "I'm sorry to have troubled you, sir."

"No trouble, just exchange the money."

Nico Robin, of course Kuro knows her, but so what?

Will he be afraid?

Anyway, Robin doesn't recognize him.

Robin waited for a staff member to bring a suitcase, took it from him, and handed it to Kuro. "Your 30 million Berries have been exchanged. Do you need to check them?"

"No need, the quality of this store is very good."

Kuro took the suitcase, turned around and waved: "Goodbye."

Then they left very quickly.

This person has been wanted since he was eight years old and is under the watchful eyes of world governments; it's best to avoid getting entangled with him.

Robin stared at Kuro's retreating figure and chuckled, "A strange guest."

His deliberately posed walking posture and the intentionally maintained movements were enough to expose his deliberate pretense. The only people who need to pretend here are government officials.

After all, the relevant personnel cannot get in.

"Kuro, where have you been?!"

Not far away, Lida spotted Kuro and rushed over with him.

Kuro raised an eyebrow, looked left and right, pointed to himself, and looked puzzled.

"What are you doing? Pretending you don't know me?" Lida ran over, staring at him strangely.

"Wow, you recognize me dressed like this?"

Lida wasn't there when Kuro disguised himself.

"The smell is here."

Lida sniffed and said, "I would recognize you even if you turned to ashes."

"You still want the smell? I'll turn into ashes and you can mix it with rice."

Kuro said irritably, "Weren't you guys out catching pirates with Smoker? What are you doing wandering around here?"

That's a rhetorical question. The tremor just now was because Smoker and Luffy escaped.

"Smoker is missing, we don't know where he went. We're so bored we're just wandering around. This 'Rainy Land' is so bustling, no wonder it's Crocodile's base."

Lida pulled a bag of snacks from Crowe's arms, tore it open, and started eating.

With food in his arms and the "Huazhou" sword slung around his waist, Chloe looked like a tool.

The three of them gathered together, and no one noticed that in a nearby corner, several hands with eyes and ears were gradually disappearing.

"So it was the navy."

Inside the casino, Robin opened his eyes, his expression one of surprise and disbelief.

I don't care about that man, but that guy in the black suit with the knife on his side, isn't that Chloe?

"Are they here to gather intelligence, Marines?" Robin thought to herself.

"What are you doing?"

Crocodile, his face grim, stared at the wrecked basement and the numerous banana crocodiles lying on the ground, then looked at Robin.

"No, it's nothing. I'm just amazed at how lucky those people were; they actually managed to escape," Robin chuckled.

Crocodile's face darkened. "That arrogant little pirate, I'll make him pay. Chase him."

...

Kuro changed his clothes and happened to run into Smoker, who was soaking wet and smoking a cigarette, seemingly lost in thought.

"Hey, what are you doing here, swimming? Not taking your clothes off?" Kuro greeted him.

"Don't joke around, Kuro."

Smoker's expression turned serious. He took a deep breath and then exhaled smoke. "Crocodile has a grand plan, but we have no evidence. Damn Shichibukai!"

Even if there is evidence, it won't work. He's just a colonel and has no right to command the World Government. The only thing he can do is disobey orders.

Even if he acts on his own, there has to be a limit. After all, he is still a Marine. The World Government would not agree to forcibly capture Crocodile. And even if he informed them in advance, they would probably let it go.

The plan is already underway.

"I need to go out for a bit. Kuro, you take command."

"?"

Kuro pointed to himself: "Me? Command what?"

"Do as you please. Crocodile is going to seize Alabasta. Do what you want to do is up to you. Follow your naval principles. I have things to take care of."

As he spoke, he instructed the navy to prepare his little motorcycle.
