The Great Pirate Era.
The great seas surge and churn, powerhouses destroy and annihilate, each fighting their own battles. It's utterly—
Demotivating!
I, Russil Kuro, age tw...
Kikyo turned her head and saw Kuro peeking over and the Marines behind him. She was immediately startled, stood up, picked up the large bow from the floor, and quickly drew the bow and nocked an arrow, her face serious.
"Sister Kikyo!"
Suddenly, three children burst in.
"Don't hurt them, they are good people. That naval officer saved Xiaolin and gave us food."
Suzhan pushed the food in her arms forward and said.
Upon hearing this, Kikyo's gentle face turned icy, and with a 'whoosh', the arrow flew out as the bowstring was drawn to its fullest extent.
The arrow was very fast, and its power and speed were both considerable.
"Um?"
Kuro swiftly dodged, catching the arrow with one hand, and shouted, "Are you out of your mind? Can't you understand human language?"
"What good people can be like a man-eating demon!"
Kikyo said coldly, "You want to use Kobayashi as a drinking snack and then try to eat us? Even if I die, I won't let you succeed!"
"..."
Kuro was stunned for a moment, not knowing what to say.
This woman...
"Sister Kikyo!"
Suzhan shouted, "I didn't use Xiaolin as a drinking snack, I saved Xiaolin, I saved Xiaolin!!"
Kikyo was taken aback and looked at the three children holding the food. The three children nodded quickly to her.
Kikyo blushed slightly, quickly put down her bow, and bowed repeatedly, saying, "I'm sorry, my hearing isn't very good, and I often mishear."
"I can tell."
Kuro casually tossed the arrow aside and waved his hand. "You lost your prey, so I've come to bring it back to you. That's it, we're leaving now. If we leave too late, it'll be hard to explain if that CP3 guy wakes up."
"Huh? You want me to give you an explanation?"
Kikyo took a deep breath, made up her mind, and stepped forward, saying, "I did the poaching, so arrest me. I won't resist. I just hope you will forgive these children. They were too hungry, and I had no other choice."
"Sister Kikyo!"
A child hugged Kikyo's leg, tears streaming down his face, and shouted to Kuro, "No, Kikyo didn't do anything! You can't arrest her!"
"I won't let you take Kikyo away!"
Several children stood in front of Kikyo, their arms outstretched, their thin bodies radiating a powerful will as they spoke with unwavering resolve.
"I..."
Kuro's temples were bulging with veins; this woman definitely had something wrong with her ears!
It's confirmed. This woman isn't the one he knew from his previous life; she's just someone with the same name and face.
This is nothing unusual.
He even looks like the regimental commander.
After the children explained, Kikyo finally understood and then bowed to Clow Reed in apology.
"Fine, fine, you play by yourself, I'm leaving."
Kuro waved his hand, not wanting to talk to this woman anymore.
"Uncle Navy, please stay. Sister Kikyo's cooking is excellent; her dishes are delicious," Suzumura pleaded.
"Yes, to express my apologies, please stay and let me entertain you. As for the deer, if you don't mind, I'll cook it myself; I should be able to make a barbecue."
Kikyo smiled confidently: "Although my cooking skills aren't great, I'll make sure you eat well."
"Kuro, I'm hungry..." Lida said, glancing at the dead deer and tugging at Kuro's clothes.
"Okay, I'm hungry too."
Kuro thought for a moment, looked at the group of children, and said, "Kuro, go and hunt a few more. One is definitely not enough to eat."
"Yes, I understand, Mr. Kuro." Kuro nodded and led several marines into the woods.
"Thank you, sir."
Ueto seemed to realize something, bowed to Kuro, and then said worriedly, "But if we do this, it'll be bad for you, Marine sir..."
“When people are hungry, they have to eat. The world is vast, but being full is the most important thing. I’m hungry and I need to eat. I’m in the right no matter how you look at it. What if I’m too hungry to catch the Revolutionary Army?” Kuro said nonchalantly.
Although that's what he said, Kuro did have the idea of taking the blame upon himself.
So what if he hunted a few deer? He's already caused enough trouble for the martial arts tournament, one more complaint won't make a difference.
Besides, he's actually happy when there are more complaints.
"Then let's try your cooking first. Let's grill this deer," Kuro said, glancing at her.
"What? You want me to run away with you?"
Kikyo was taken aback, then immediately shook her head: "No, I have to take care of these children."
"Barbecue! Barbecue! Barbecue!!"
Kuro gritted his teeth and shouted, "Why the hell did I take you with me when I ran away? I'm a Marine!"
"You'd be happy to run away with me?" Kikyo asked, puzzled. "Why?"
Kuro rubbed his forehead, feeling utterly drained. "Fine, think what you want."
Seeing Kuro walk away, Kikyo was a little confused, but she still came out and started to cook the deer. The other children cheered and quickly divided the food for the three children, but they didn't eat it. They carefully stored it away and then came out to help.
Set up a fire, skin the animals, and remove the entrails.
Kikyo's technique for processing deer was very smooth and skillful; she used a nearby stream to clean the deer meat.
Kuro found a large rock to sit on and caught his breath.
No, he'll easily get angry talking to this woman.
"My lord, please forgive me."
Ueto walked over and said with a careful smile, "That's how Kikyo is. She was hit when she was a child, and her hearing has been bad ever since. Because of that, when the Insect Kingdom sent people to recruit her, she wasn't selected and stayed behind."
