The Great Pirate Era.
The great seas surge and churn, powerhouses destroy and annihilate, each fighting their own battles. It's utterly—
Demotivating!
I, Russil Kuro, age tw...
boom!!!
A sudden surge of alternating hot and cold air arose from the island of Punk Hazard, rushing rapidly toward the surrounding warships.
"It's so cold!"
Half of the sailors on the warship hugged their own bodies, trembling.
"It's so hot!"
The other half was covered in sweat, which seemed to evaporate as the sweat turned into gas, and the scorching heat distorted the space.
"Hey, is it really that exaggerated..."
Kuro stared blankly at the island of Punk Hazard, almost unable to hold his cigar.
That island has completely changed.
Half of the area was covered with countless frosts, which gradually thickened to form a thick layer of ice that quickly spread to the sea. The sea near the island rapidly froze into ice.
The other half, as if the earth had collapsed, became a crimson inferno, its intense heat causing the sea near the island to boil and bubble.
The collision of hot and cold air caused air currents to rise, instantly turning the clear weather into a storm of dark clouds, with thunder flashing and rumbling across the sky.
The climate, the terrain, the air—everything has changed.
And this was just a simple collision!
At the center of the island, Akainu's body was surging with magma, colliding with Aokiji, who was completely frozen in ice.
"Kuzan!"
Akainu roared and unleashed molten lava from his hands, striking directly at the target.
"Sakazuki!"
Aokiji was hit by a punch, turning into scattered ice blocks that quickly solidified. He flashed to Akainu's side, extending an ice spike from his palm and stabbing at him.
The ice spike touched Akainu and instantly froze his body into ice, turning the lava into black stone.
laugh!
But soon, the ice evaporated and melted, and a cloud of white steam rose from Akainu's arm, from which magma surged forth again, striking towards Aokiji.
One is ice, the other is lava; in this battle of nature, it seems difficult to determine a winner.
Was it necessary to be so intense from the start?
This scene left Kuro speechless with astonishment.
"It's a clash of ideologies after all, how terrifying... this intensity," Kizaru exclaimed in surprise.
Kuro exhaled a puff of smoke and looked towards the island.
Akainu, Sakazuki, is fifty-four years old and is currently in his prime.
Aokiji, Kuzan, is 48 years old. Although he is a bit younger, he is still a 'monster' type.
Everyone had undergone systematic naval training and was taught by Zephyr. Combined with other naval training, their abilities, Haki, and physical skills were all roughly the same, and even their swordsmanship was not much different.
Sakazuki knows swordsmanship, and so does Kuzan; Kuro was able to detect this.
Even his grandfather is very skilled with a sword.
If this fight continues, given the seriousness of the situation, it won't be a matter of a quick, superficial victory or defeat.
Bang!
Bang! Bang!
After a series of close-quarters combat, the two sides on the island created distance between them.
"A massive fireball!"
Lava erupted from Akainu's arm, forming a giant fist shape, which he then used to attack Aokiji.
This move could instantly evaporate even an iceberg dozens of times larger than this fist.
Aokiji took a step back, extended one hand at a ninety-degree angle, forming a chop shape, and pointed it at Akainu, coldly saying, "Boogie beak!"
The frigid air formed a giant ice bird, which charged toward the outstretched lava fist with unparalleled force.
Wherever the ice bird passed, it froze the already icy ground into another layer of ice, colliding with the lava fist.
boom!!!
As the red and white objects collided, their hot and cold air currents rose again, and several bolts of lightning suddenly struck down, landing within the area between the two.
Thunder alone cannot harm either of the two, which are both part of nature.
Akainu and Aokiji were engulfed by a sudden bolt of lightning as thick as a bucket. In just a moment, in the lava behind Akainu, his body slowly condensed from the ground, while the other shattered into ice crystals, which then solidified on the ice.
One is just a natural phenomenon, while the other two represent the anthropomorphization of natural phenomena, so they are incomparable.
Boom boom boom!
The shattered ice bird chunks and the scattered lava fists transformed into volcanic bombs and large ice blocks, scattering towards the sea.
"Oh no! These things are coming!"
"Run! Run!"
The sailors shouted in panic.
Are you kidding me? If these things land, the ship will sink.
"What's all the noise about!"
Onigumo shouted, "The weak should step back! If you can't even handle this little situation, you have no right to watch!"
"Oh~ that's really scary, Kuro." Kizaru looked up at the sky and exclaimed.
"Hey, old man, why aren't you making a move?" Kuro scratched his head and asked.
“I can’t intervene, it would cause misunderstandings. Others can, but you’re in a better position. You can use that ability to block attacks,” Kizaru said with a smile.
"In this situation, let's not hide it, Kuro. You can't just leave this old lady to go up and stop it, can you?" Tsuru said calmly from the side.
"I'm just here to watch..."
Kuro sighed softly, drew his sword, Shusui, and with a flick of his two fingers along the blade, a golden light appeared as he swung it out.
"Black Tortoise".
A huge phantom of Xuanwu (a mythical black tortoise) obscured the area in front of the ships.
Bang bang bang!
Ice blocks and volcanic bombs hurled at the Xuanwu, striking its shell. The impacts either bounced off the shell like a barrier or shattered by the force of the impact.
This scene caused the naval officers, who had never seen Kuro use the Four Gods' Secret Techniques before, to widen their eyes in astonishment.
"That's the swordsmanship Borsalino has always praised. To be honest, this is the first time I've ever seen it," Sengoku exclaimed in surprise.
Come to think of it, he had never seen Kuro use such amazing swordsmanship during the Marineford War.
Aside from the slash that severed Shanks and the swarm of seawater that submerged Blackbeard's forces, which revealed a little bit of his power, I haven't really seen anything else.
"So why waste so much time in the North Sea? It doesn't suit you at all, Commodore Kuro." Onigumo looked at Kuro.
He still admired Kuro, but he was also somewhat disappointed in him, as if Kuro had picked up some bad habits from spending too much time with Admiral Kizaru.
Otherwise, he would be more than just a brigadier general by now.
You go and try playing against Redfield!
Kuro glanced at Onigumo speechlessly; he couldn't argue with that.
"Wow, that's amazing! Can swordsmanship simulate mythical beasts?"
Momousagi's hand instinctively reached for the hilt of the sword.
"Wow, that's really spectacular." Chaton looked up in surprise. "It's really reliable."
The other lieutenant generals all subtly revealed a smile.
