Chapter 430 People Must Have Hope

While there are certainly despicable pirates, it is undeniable that, as enemies of the Navy, there are also heroes among pirates.

As for gangsters... they don't deserve the Navy's attention.

Especially those gangs that bully the weak. When Sazir went to sea, even as an apprentice pirate, his only thought was to become famous. His biggest desire towards civilians was to plunder their wealth. Before he could even put that idea into practice, he was captured and forced into the navy.

But Sazir never even considered taking action against civilians.

Not to mention things like what's happening now.

Even Sazir, who had always considered himself unjust, could not tolerate this moment.

"And him! That man, he killed my husband!"

A woman with a child was crying and pointing at a burly man.

“He made my child steal, my child… my child is injured every day!” another person began to accuse others.

After Sazir killed the man with a single punch, the controlled civilians completely erupted.

In just a few words, he identified all the people living in this communal dwelling.

They were mostly strong men.

Because compared to those who live in constant fear of not having enough to eat, those who rely on violence to achieve their goals will certainly eat well.

"Take them all out, no need for interrogation, just shoot them on the spot."

With a wave of his hand, Sazir had a group of navy officers carry all those people away.

Faintly, these people could still hear the gangsters' shouts and pleas for mercy, but soon, with a series of gunshots, those sounds disappeared.

A group of sailors jogged back and saluted Sazir.

"Reporting, Lieutenant, everything has been resolved!"

"very good!"

Sazir glanced at the slums, making sure there were no suspicious people, and said, "Retreat, next place."

“But, Lieutenant, these abandoned weapons…” The Navy officer pointed to the guns and swords scattered on the ground, left behind by the gangsters, and said, “Aren’t we going to confiscate them?”

"What weapon? I didn't see any weapon. Alright, listen to my command, let's go!"

With that, Sazir waved his hand and led the navy jogging towards the door.

Only after they stepped out the door did these people realize what was happening.

"Thank you, thank you!!"

Geno realized what was happening and yelled at the fleeing navy.

Sazir didn't even turn his head, just stretched out his hand and waved to indicate that he had heard.

A group of sailors disappeared here.

Just like the embodiment of justice, they come to uphold justice and then leave, just like in a comic book.

"He's so... handsome."

Geno muttered to himself, looking down at the weapons scattered on the ground, a determination forming in his eyes.

He walked over, picked up a pistol, and gripped it tightly. "I want to...be like that too!"

"it's over!!!"

After he finished speaking, a middle-aged man suddenly knelt down, covered his face with his hands, and cried out in anguish, "It's over! It's finally over!"

"Waaaaah!"

His words were like a powder keg ignited; everyone present wept, huddled together, and sobbed uncontrollably.

Yes, it's over.

After being suppressed for so long, and not even daring to cry, they can finally cry and shout freely in the dead of night.

After the tears, some people burst into laughter, some started singing, and some started dancing!

The pain is over!

A person can have nothing, but the one thing they cannot live without is hope.

They have it now, so even if their lives were messed up before, things will still be alright.

Things will get better...

The search continues. In Area 30, countless naval personnel broke into homes and forcibly searched everything. In the darkness, the naval personnel with flashlights could be seen like white ghosts, wandering the streets and houses in droves.

Disturbing the peace is simply not within their consideration.

Or rather, this was intentional on Kuro's part.

"Wow!"

Over at the Ferris wheel in the park area, Lida sat alone as the Ferris wheel ascended, her eyes almost glowing as she looked down at the night view.

Below him was Kuro, smoking a cigar.

He wasn't very interested in this thing. He flew around every day and looked down from the sky countless times, so how could he possibly find this kind of thing interesting?

"Hey, Kuro."

After the Ferris wheel completed its rotation, Lida got off and asked, "It's so late. Won't it disturb the residents if the navy forcibly enters their homes?"

"It's good to disturb the neighbors."

Kuro exhaled a puff of smoke. "Disturbing the peace means complaints. This godforsaken place, Sabaody, has so many rich people and nobles. If just a few of them complain about me, the World Government will be unhappy with me. Then they can transfer me out of the government. Wouldn't that be perfect?"

While he's at it, he can clean up this chaotic mess in Chambord. Even if he gets a complaint but it doesn't work out, he'll feel more comfortable there.

No matter what, he won't suffer any losses.

I, Lucilfer Kuro, am a man who will never suffer a loss.

"Whatever you want. Wow, I want to ride that roller coaster. Will you come with me for a ride, Kuro?"

Lida grabbed Kuro's hand and dragged him toward the roller coaster in front of her.

"Hey, are you kidding me? I'm a high-flying navy officer, what high-altitude thrill ride haven't I tried? Go with you on a roller coaster? Do you think I have that much free time?!"

"Wow!!!"

In the dead of night, an unmanned roller coaster was started up, and a scream was accompanied by a silvery laugh, which rang out on the rapidly spinning roller coaster.
