The Great Pirate Era.
The great seas surge and churn, powerhouses destroy and annihilate, each fighting their own battles. It's utterly—
Demotivating!
I, Russil Kuro, age tw...
Sharp stared blankly at Soros, his expression somewhat complicated.
That's it!
A man holding a wooden sword stood in front of Sharp and said, "Mr. Sharp, I was also saved by you. No matter what your mindset was at the time, it is a fact that you saved me. I don't admire you as much as Soros, but I know how to be grateful."
He gripped the wooden sword tightly, as if it were some divine weapon that gave him boundless power.
“That’s right, Mr. Sharp. No matter what that person says, you’ve been encouraging us this year. We’ve been living in a daze for the past few years, and only when you were here last year did we have a glimmer of hope.”
Another person stepped forward and stood in front of Sharp, saying, "No matter what others say, here, you are our hero!"
Three, four, five...
One by one, people stepped forward and stood in front of Sharp, their gazes fixed firmly on the person opposite him.
"It seems there's no way to negotiate."
George shook his head and sneered, "You think you can fight us with just a piece of wood? Men, seize these slaves!"
The remaining pirates shouted and charged forward to confront the group of slaves.
The battle continues.
They had already fought before.
Although these slaves lacked good weapons, they were quite physically strong due to their long-term survival in the primeval forest.
George and his crew were seasoned pirates who had honed their skills on the Grand Line. Their combat awareness was also quite good, and their battles went on and on. With their weapons, they even gained the upper hand.
"Too slow, too slow."
Moro shook his head and said to Massy, "Hey, Navy guys, you guys go up and lend a hand too."
“But they are pirates…” Masi said hesitantly.
"So what if they're pirates? They've delayed Charlos Saint's affairs. Can you take responsibility for that?" Moro shouted.
"I...I understand..."
Massi gritted his teeth, waved his hand, and said, "Go, help them capture those slaves."
“But Colonel Massey, we’ve already disobeyed Rear Admiral Kuro’s orders. Wouldn’t it be inappropriate to help the pirates?” a lieutenant hesitated.
"I am your superior!"
Massi shouted, "Now, listen to my command, go and help them take down those slaves!"
The genius would prefer to work under Kuro, who doesn't follow any rules and does whatever he wants. That guy uses his reputation and status as Admiral Kizaru's subordinate to do whatever he wants, but Masashi can't do that.
He had spent so many years climbing to the rank of colonel, and he didn't want to play along with that madman. If he could get on the coattails of a Celestial Dragon, he could be transferred to a better place after this incident, and maybe even get promoted.
"Yes, Colonel Massey."
Faced with Massy's anger, the lieutenant had no choice but to obey orders and lead his men to join the pirates' ranks, fighting alongside them against the slaves.
The pirates already had a slight advantage in their fight against these slaves, but with the Navy joining in, the battle became even more one-sided.
"How can it be repaired!"
With his arm severely injured, Soros thrust his wooden spear forward, knocking one pirate to the ground. However, another pirate quickly closed in, slashing his injured shoulder with a knife. Soros stepped back, thrusting his wooden spear forward again, knocking the pirate to the ground once more.
Among the slaves present, this one named Soros was clearly the strongest.
George raised his gun in the crowd, aimed it at the boy, and prepared to pull the trigger.
Bang!
Suddenly, a figure crashed into him, causing George to stumble and bleed slightly from his nose.
"Sharp!"
He took a few steps back, covered his nose, and stared in shock at the resolute-looking man, shouting, "Are you crazy?!"
"Captain, stop!"
Seeing George bleeding, Sharp looked somewhat distressed. He opened his mouth, but still pleaded, "I won't get on the ship, Captain. Please, for my sake, spare them!"
"You think this is my decision?"
George's face darkened. "And who do you think you are? You know perfectly well how you got your bounty. Don't talk to me like that!"
With that, he holstered his gun and lunged at Sharp, engaging him in a fierce fight.
"Don't want to get on board? Then don't! Do you really think I consider you a crew member?"
He punched Sharp in the face, sending him staggering backward, yelling, "I just did something stupid while drunk, and the bounty is higher than mine! Unforgivable, unforgivable!"
"captain..."
Sharp was about to retaliate after being punched, but George's words made him freeze.
Bang!
Then, he was knocked down again by a punch from George, who straddled him and furiously attacked him with punch after punch.
"What 'Flame Master'! What bounty of over 100 million! I only have a little over 20 million! Back when you were on the ship, your reputation surpassed mine! I'm so jealous, so incredibly jealous!"
Seeing Sharp gradually lose focus, George pulled out a pistol from his waist, pointed it at Sharp's forehead, and grinned maliciously: "Did you really think I would have come to pick you up back then? No, if you hadn't been caught by the Navy, you would have starved to death on that island! That island is an isolated island with no shipping lanes around it. In the end, you would have died there."
"In the end, you were captured by the Navy, and I thought that was the end of it. But last year, you contacted me again. I was planning to make another attempt at Sabaody Archipelago, thinking of using your name to recruit some powerful pirates, and then find an opportunity to throw you back overboard."
"However, what I didn't expect was that the Navy here started investigating, so I had no choice but to use you for now. Who knew you'd still be so stupid. Let me tell you the truth, Olex Sharp, in my eyes you're just disposable fuel! Once you're used up, you're useless! What hero, what great pirate, it's all fake, it's all a lie. I'm going to expose your true colors as a fraud right now!"
