The Great Pirate Era.
The great seas surge and churn, powerhouses destroy and annihilate, each fighting their own battles. It's utterly—
Demotivating!
I, Russil Kuro, age tw...
The Warring States period?!
Garp?!
Snag stared in astonishment at the two old men approaching. Of course, he recognized them!
only...
"Why are you all here?!" Snag shouted in disbelief.
"Pfft, hahaha, of course we're here for a vacation!" Garp laughed heartily.
“That’s right, Pegasus Island is so much fun, I’d like to stay a little longer. I’ll also tell Tsuru that it can become the Navy’s exclusive vacation spot in the future.” Sengoku nodded and said.
The two men approached Snag from the left and right. The sunlight cast a shadow on their faces, which obscured Snag and made his complexion look increasingly worse.
"No...I won't fall here!"
Snag gripped his longsword, leaped up, and slashed at the two old men...
...
"Mr. Kuro, Mr. Kuro, big news!"
Chambord.
Kuro ran down the corridor with a newspaper in his hand, quickly approaching Kuro's office.
Before he even entered, he could hear sounds coming from inside.
"Ouch~ it hurts..."
Lida's soft gasp echoed in the office.
"Don't worry, it doesn't hurt. Don't move around. It's too tight to go in."
"It really hurts! Couldn't you be a little gentler? Ah~ that feels good..."
Kuro pushed open the door expressionlessly and saw Lida half-lying on his lap, while Kuro was cleaning her ears.
He twirled the cotton swab in Lida's ear a little before patting her head. "Right? Cleaning your ears is a very comfortable thing. I'll clean them for you again when I have time... Chloe, what's up?"
"Big news!"
Crowe waved the newspaper in his hand and said, "About Pegasus Island..."
"What's wrong? What happened to Cass again? Why did you bring me along?!"
Before Kuro could finish speaking, this was Kuro's first reaction, and he stood up from the sofa in shock.
His first reaction wasn't that something had happened on Pegasus Island, but rather that Cass, that bearded man, was up to something again.
no way...
I'm scared!
No, not at all.
Kuro breathed a sigh of relief at Kuro's words. He walked to his desk, sat down in a chair, and lit a cigar.
"What's wrong?"
Pegasus Island... has been attacked by pirates.
That's it?
Kuro raised an eyebrow. "They're just pirates. What sea doesn't have pirates? They're just pirates from the West Blue. They won't cause any trouble..."
"It's Big Mom."
"Cough cough cough!"
Before Kuro could finish speaking, he nearly inhaled a puff of cigar into his lungs, causing him to cough incessantly.
“A senior executive of Big Mom,” Krok continued.
"Are you asking for a beating? Stop talking and hand me the newspaper!"
Kuro glared at Kro and held out his hand.
Chloe obediently handed over the newspaper.
Kuro glanced at it and felt much relieved.
"Snag was captured by these two old men? What happened? These two old men are still on my island."
The newspaper article essentially stated that Snack, the son of one of the Four Emperors and one of the original Four Sweet Commanders, with a bounty of 600 million Berries, failed in his raid on Pegasus Island and was captured by Sengoku and Garp, who were present at the scene.
"Yes, it seems like they haven't left at all." Chloe pushed up her glasses.
"No... what are Big Mom's executives doing on my Pegasus Island?" Kuro frowned.
Kro said, "I specifically called Cass about this. Apparently, there's a guy named Olga who makes really delicious donuts. He used to join Totto Land, but then he escaped to Pegasus Island, so Snag is here to catch him."
"Also, Cass... seems to be injured."
"Um?"
Kuro frowned. "How serious is it?"
"Fortunately, I was injured in my rib area, but after treatment, I'm basically fine now," Kro said.
"Big Mom..."
Kuro exhaled a puff of smoke and said, "I've never provoked her. Coming all the way to the West Sea to cause me trouble, isn't that going too far? She's so greedy, be careful she doesn't eat herself to death one day!"
"Greedy? Who's greedy?"
Lida had just opened a box of cookies, paused for a moment, and asked.
"It's none of your business..."
Kuro rolled his eyes and asked, "What should we do with Snag?"
"The Sengoku Inspector and Lieutenant General Garp are preparing to bring him back."
"Heh... Hopefully no fools will attack that ship. Besides, 'Drought' isn't one of Big Mom's men." Kuro shook his head with a cold laugh.
Seeing Kuro's expression, Kuro wisely shut his mouth.
He was getting a little angry...
As someone who has followed Kuro for quite some time, Kuro has also figured out Kuro's habits. Although he's not as accurate as Lida, he can still tell the basics.
Kuro is currently in an angry state.
But this also warmed Kro's heart.
Mr. Kuro doesn't just give special treatment to Lida; he still gets angry when his subordinates are injured.
If Cassius is like this, then Kroo, who is injured, will also be like this.
"Will Big Mom retaliate?" Lida suddenly asked.
"Probably not."
Kro thought for a moment and said, "That's not Whitebeard. Big Mom herself doesn't have that ambition. Although she is known as the 'strongest family,' Big Mom doesn't actually have that much affection for her children. This matter will likely just be left unresolved."
“Anything that happens is a matter for headquarters, it has nothing to do with me, except for Cass…Kro, could you call Cass for me and tell him I’m sending my regards?” Kuro said.
