The Great Pirate Era.
The great seas surge and churn, powerhouses destroy and annihilate, each fighting their own battles. It's utterly—
Demotivating!
I, Russil Kuro, age tw...
When Kuro turned his head, the marines were also startled, but after they reacted, they moved even faster.
"Go to hell!"
The marines attacked from the left and right. One was on the upper left with a dagger aimed at Kuro's head, while the other was on the lower right, stabbing directly at Kuro's lower back.
The naval dagger in the upper left corner points downwards, roaring menacingly.
Kuro's expression instantly turned calm, and he moved his arm, about to grab it upwards.
laugh!
"ah!"
Suddenly, Lida cried out in pain; a navy officer wielding a dagger had slashed her arm.
Boom!!!
A murderous aura, almost solidified into blood, emanated from Kuro and surged towards the four marines.
The four people were momentarily stunned by the murderous aura.
No dizziness...
*Smack*
Kuro grabbed the wrist of the marine who was attacking him. This touch brought him back to his senses, but before he could react, his eyes met a pair of blood-red eyes.
That look...it sends chills down your spine!
Click!
Kuro pulled on his arm, and a cracking sound was heard. The Navy's arm had clearly grown a little longer. Kuro cried out in pain and was pulled and thrown to the ground, where he landed heavily.
Sizzle!
At the same time, three earth spikes rapidly extended from the ground, piercing the abdomens of the remaining three marines, like skewering meat, the earth spikes rising high and stringing them together.
"Are you kidding me?!"
Kuro roared, took a step forward, and stomped heavily on the other arm of the fallen Marine. A crisp cracking sound was heard as the other arm was crushed to pieces.
The navy man was in so much pain that he was sweating profusely. He bent his knees and was about to jump up to escape when Kuro clenched his fist. The ground beneath him suddenly churned up and formed long strips that bound him, as if he were tied up.
All of this happened in the blink of an eye.
"Lida, how are you?" Kuro asked Lida.
"fine..."
Lida clutched her arm and pressed it down, exclaiming, "Energy feedback!"
The cut wound gradually healed under the healing power of vital energy.
"I was careless... Kuro."
Under the horrified gaze of the navy personnel, Lida shook her perfectly healed hand and said, "I didn't even realize what was happening."
"Don't even mention it... I was a little careless."
Kuro narrowed his eyes. Things had been going too smoothly lately, especially since it was Sabaody, which he had already investigated. He hadn't used Observation Haki at all, and he was in a relaxed state, much like Garp, who was able to be chopped down by Morgan's axe back then.
Who the hell would have thought he'd be assassinated in Chambord!
Assassination!
There's actually such a thing in this world.
However, it seems there are some.
This place has a dark world, so of course there's a profession called 'assassin'.
Daz Bonitz, one of Crocodile's henchmen, was not only a bounty hunter but also a hitman back in the day.
However, their styles are different. These people are very skilled at assassination, and at least when Kuro attacked them, he couldn't detect any murderous intent.
They are quite strong.
"It's alright."
Kuro, having confirmed that Lida was alright, looked down at the marine he had bound, pulled out a cigar from his pocket, lit it, and said, "So, tell me, who the hell are you?!"
The smoke he exhaled condensed into a cloud, drifted towards the assassin's mouth and nose, and entered his mouth.
"Cough cough cough!"
The assassin coughed violently, his face turning bright red, his shoulders swaying unconsciously, as if trying to stop the smoke from getting in, but his arms were crippled and he couldn't lift them no matter what.
Only when his face turned from red to purple did the smoke begin to escape from his mouth and nose, dissipating into the air.
"Ha ha..."
The assassin gasped for breath, saliva and tears streaming down his face unconsciously.
He choked quite badly.
"I can make you feel like you're suffocating but can't die forever. You'd better tell me, or I might give you a quick death," Kuro said coldly.
"Hehehe..."
The assassin chuckled in a low voice, "We are Dragon Pirates' men, on a mission from the Big Mom Pirates to teach you a lesson because your subordinate, Dougreg Kass, ruined Snack's mission. Although you're not dead, we've already achieved half of our objective. It's useless, all of it is useless. You couldn't stop us. Your subordinate, Kuro, and Dougreg Kass are already in hell."
"Dorag Piekro? The master mortician?"
Kuro raised an eyebrow: "Isn't this guy a human organ trafficker? He does assassinations too..."
He smacked his lips, a slight flash of bloodlust in his eyes, his Observation Haki covering the entire island. Then, he stared at the assassin, flicked his finger, and the earthen strips binding him tightened inward, extending out earthen spikes that all pierced into the assassin's body.
"Ugh!" The assassin's face turned red, his legs struggled to move, and blood flowed from the corner of his mouth.
"You've got one thing wrong..."
Kuro stared coldly at him and said, "My men aren't some Tom, Dick, or Harry that can be killed by ordinary assassination."
"roar!!!"
As he spoke, a beastly roar suddenly echoed from somewhere within the naval base.
"What..."
In the alley, the assassin who had stabbed Kro in the chest staggered backward and fell to the ground, staring in shock as the man before him gradually transformed into a werewolf over five meters tall.
Pfft!!!
His shock was only on his face when a cold light suddenly appeared, tearing his body apart.
