The Great Pirate Era.
The great seas surge and churn, powerhouses destroy and annihilate, each fighting their own battles. It's utterly—
Demotivating!
I, Russil Kuro, age tw...
“Until that day thirty years ago, he was called the ‘World Destroyer,’ which proves how wary the world government was of him.”
The sound of a crane rang out from the Den Den Mushi.
"Grandma Crane, who is this 'World Destroyer'? Is he famous?"
Lida flipped through the newspaper, looking left and right, but couldn't find the photo. She then raised the newspaper in her hand and asked.
Kro, standing to the side, was also completely bewildered.
Nobody recognizes this man.
I only knew about Sentomaru from some rumors about his youth that I heard from the old man by chance.
The World Destroyer, Bondi Wald—to be honest, if Kuro hadn't been able to remember some things and knew the names and abilities of some powerful figures, he wouldn't have known about such an existence.
Thirty years ago...
He wasn't even born into this world thirty years ago.
"World destroyer..."
Hearing Lida's voice, the crane pondered for a moment and said:
"He destroys everything he sees; anything that stands in his way disappears. Whether it's the navy, pirates, the government, or civilians, everything vanishes before him, which is why he's called the 'World Destroyer'."
“He is extremely dangerous to everyone. But this is not a matter for your generation, little Lida.”
"Sakazuki, Borsalino, do you remember when you were recruits?"
"Oh, I think that's true..."
Kizaru's voice rang out: "The Navy and the pirates joined forces to fight a war called the 'Battle of Wald,' but in the end they were forced to retreat."
"The Navy and pirates have joined forces?!"
Sentomaru exclaimed in surprise, "Grandpa, you don't seem to have mentioned this before!"
"Well, we've caught him after all," Kizaru said with a chuckle.
"Forced to retreat?"
Kro pushed up his glasses, his eyes filled with astonishment.
The fact that a war could unite the Navy and pirates demonstrates the threat posed by that guy called 'World Destroyer,' but that's not the most important point. The most important point is that they were actually forced to retreat.
Just how strong is this pirate?
"That's exactly why we were forced to retreat..."
Tsuru said, "However, the World Government's operation of planting spies in Wald's camp behind our backs back caused a turning point in the war and directly led to the destruction of the Wald Pirates. But for some reason, Wald was frozen in ice and imprisoned in 'Impelton' for thirty years."
"We still need to rely on spies..."
Kuro swallowed hard. That meant that dealing with this man involved not only the Navy and pirates, but also the World Government.
This level of threat...
"As the saying goes, 'During the Warring States period...'"
Sakazuki's voice came through the Den Den Mushi: "That bastard Blackbeard took away a few prisoners from Impel Down, but many more escaped, including Wald."
"They really released a formidable opponent..."
Tsuru sighed, "And it happened during the transition between the headquarters relocation and the world conscription, which is a really bad timing. He is a 'Momo-Momo Fruit' user, which allows him to attack things a hundred times larger and faster. The title of 'World Destroyer' is well-deserved."
The relocation of headquarters is a major event, and as of now, Kuro knows that the new headquarters is not yet fully completed.
The new global conscription system also causes fluctuations for the navy itself. If it's just one or two people, like Issho and Green Bull, then they can be considered 'thugs', but this system is open to everyone.
The system needs to change, and the new recruits need to integrate; this is precisely the major transitional phase for their navy.
Ensuring the stability of the Grand Line is the best the navy can currently do.
Issho and Green Bull are currently on probation, while their traditional naval elites are gathered in the New World to clear the surrounding waters and guard against major pirates.
Right now, we don't have enough troops to deal with that Wald.
Summoning the Seven Warlords of the Sea was indeed the right choice.
"So what does this have to do with me?" Kuro asked. "I'll just focus on protecting my Sabaody Archipelago."
"Kuro, that Bondi Wald, according to intelligence, is currently lingering in the first half, in the area closest to you, and is the closest to you."
"Besides taking precautions, your destination for summoning the Seven Warlords is Marineford. According to information, 'Empress' Boa Hancock seems to have received the summons but hasn't set off. It was just a regular summons, and those sea trash will most likely refuse, since there was no special mobilization through our navy. So, go to Amazon Lily and pick them up from Amazon Lily."
Crane's voice rang out, "Besides, Trafalgar Law, who previously landed on your island, has accepted this summons. Judging by the time, he should be arriving at your place soon."
"So, I've come."
Whoosh!
In the office, a sofa had been replaced, and Law, wearing a beanie and sporting a beard, appeared in its place, smiling at everyone and saying, "I didn't expect to see you all again after only a few days. Hello, I am the new Shichibukai, Trafalgar Law."
"You bastard!"
Sentomaru glared at him and said, "Why did you suddenly come in?!"
"Hey, who gave you permission to come in here without being notified?" A black line appeared on Kro's forehead.
Kuro glanced at him, hung up the phone, and narrowed his eyes, "Luo?"
"It's me."
Luo now wore a smile, his expression no longer filled with the same apprehension as it had a few days ago.
