Chapter 677 My Wish is World Peace

A day later, several warships arrived at the port.

In the gap in Dressrosa where a piece of land has been cut away, warships are anchored, and a portion of the navy stands ready, saluting.

The ship lowered its steps, and several people stepped down.

"Ah...we've finally arrived."

Zhan Guo was wearing a floral shirt and baggy shorts, holding a bag of snacks in his hand, eating and laughing at the same time.

"Shut up, you're so noisy. You've been talking the whole way. Let's go."

The crane in front of him glanced at him sideways, and after receiving a salute from the navy, he arrived at the naval base tent.

Yixiao was sitting on a wooden box with a portable table in front of her, eating buckwheat noodles.

"Oh! I've heard all that. You and Kuro beat Charlotte Linlin to a pulp." Sengoku said with a grin.

Yixiao picked up a piece of buckwheat noodles with his chopsticks, took a bite, and said, "It's all thanks to Brother Kuro."

Tsuru said from the side, "It's a pity we couldn't capture the Straw Hat crew and Law, but we can't blame you. After all, you were fighting Big Mom at the time. What about Fujitora and Clow?

“Outside Doflamingo’s tent,” Issho said.

He nodded: "I heard the king of Dressrosa has changed?"

"I'm not aware of such matters; the decision was made by Brother Kuro."

As he chewed, Yi Xiao said with a smile, "However, it seems they chose a good king, that guy named David, who has the heart of a knight."

"A knight...?"

Tsuru nodded and said no more, heading straight towards the direction where Doflamingo was imprisoned.

Outside a tent ahead, a similar portable table was set up, and Kuro, Lida, and Moore sat around the table on a wooden crate, eating buckwheat noodles.

"Not bad, this flavor is great. I'll have Kikyo learn it from her later."

Kuro held the cup in his left hand and used his right hand to pick up chopsticks from the bamboo basket on the table, eating with the sauce in the cup.

This so-called buckwheat noodle is actually just cold buckwheat noodles.

But the taste is indeed quite good.

"Oh! Kuro!"

Sengoku walked over, chewing on a slice of rice cake. Seeing Kuro eating, he ordered the Marines beside him, "Give me one too."

"Yes, sir! We'll prepare it for you right away!" the navy officer saluted.

"How leisurely you are, Sengoku-san. Retirement is great." Kuro chewed his food and glanced at Sengoku.

"Hahaha, too bad, you can't retire yet, Kuro," Sengoku laughed loudly.

Kuro shrugged and said to Tsuru, "It's been a long time, Grandma Tsuru."

Tsuru nodded. "I've heard about it. You did a good job, Tenyasha."

Kuro gestured with his chin, "Don't worry, I'll be watching over him. He'll be fine."

He sighed, "What a mess, another one lost..."

Kuro said calmly, "It's like rain falling from the sky; it can't be stopped."

"Alright, we're taking them with us. Are you coming back with us?" Crane asked.

"Of course, what would I be doing here?"

"Hahaha, is that so? But you've chosen a king, shouldn't you stay and oversee things for a while longer?" Sengoku laughed.

"Why should I, a naval officer, meddle in other people's internal affairs? The change of king was at the request of higher-ups. I was just acting on their behalf. You understand," Kuro said.

“Then let’s get on your ship. I’ve never been on your flagship before. What do you say, Tsuru?” Sengoku said.

"That's fine, but your flagship is the safest," Tsuru said with a smile. "It caused quite a commotion at headquarters back then."

Kuro smirked.

Can you blame him?

After Sengoku finished his soba noodles, Kuro clapped his hands and said, "Alright, we've stayed long enough. Let's go back."

Tsuru nodded, then immediately ordered the other marines to take Doflamingo to Kuro's ship.

A group of people headed to the port, where, in addition to a large number of warships, the enormous, golden ship stood out conspicuously.

"master!"

Just as Kuro and the others were about to go up, a voice suddenly came from behind.

Kuro turned his head and saw David standing there alone, with no one following him. He said anxiously, "Master, I heard you're leaving?"

"Don't shout like that, it makes me sound like some kind of special person."

Kuro turned his head and said, "Now that you're king, be a good king. You're a good person, and you'll develop this country well."

"I understand, sir."

David nodded emphatically and took a deep breath: "Sir, I do not yet know your wish."

My wish?

"Of course it's An..."

Kuro blurted out his answer, but when he saw Sengoku, Tsuru, Issho, and the other Marines beside him, he swallowed it back.

He thought for a moment and then said, "Hmm... world peace."

He'll be safe once the world is at peace.

That's not entirely wrong.

David was taken aback. "That wish... is truly grand."

"Just work hard and make your own country peaceful."

Kuro waved his hand, said nothing more, and turned to board the ship.

Watching the gleaming golden ships and other warships sail away, David pondered for a moment, then murmured, "World peace...?"

"My lord, you're not attending my wedding, yet you want me to remain king. Do you think I haven't governed Dressrosa well enough? I understand... Dressrosa will also become your sword, clearing away obstacles for you!"

David seemed to have made up his mind, and turned to walk inside.
