Chapter 683 Bring the ship closer!

Boom!

A muffled clap of thunder sounded outside, and lightning illuminated half of the cabin, shining on Kuro's body.

"It's thundering..."

Kuro glanced outside, put down his bowl, and said, "You guys take your time eating. I'll go downstairs and check on things."

Besides Rita, Sengoku and Issho were also eating, but Tsuru was not there.

She's keeping an eye on Doflamingo right now, right there in the cabin of her own ship.

When Kuro got off the ship, he happened to see Tsuru sitting in a chair with her legs crossed, facing Doflamingo who was bound by chains.

"I shouldn't have let myself fall, I shouldn't have..."

Doflamingo lay sprawled out, his chest heaving with laughter. "Fufufufu, if I fall from power, there will be very bad consequences."

"Come on, don't give me that."

Crane said mercilessly, "Defeat is defeat. The word 'but' never exists in the real world."

"Fufufufu, you're still using the same old tricks..." Doflamingo laughed.

Tsuru shook her head, glanced at Kuro who was walking over, and said, "You've come."

Kuro nodded, walked over to the crane, stopped beside her, and lit a cigar.

Tsuru looked at Doflamingo and said, "You rats have your own ways. Tell me, what will the world of pirates become in the future?"

These words made Doflamingo pause for a moment. He was silent for a while, then said in a deep voice, "So, what do you think a monster that has broken free of its chains and has no bait will do?"

"Is there anything on this ocean that can be called the pinnacle? Is it the Emperor of the Sea, one of the Four Emperors? Or the Seven Warlords of the Sea, the smartest ones living on this ocean? Or perhaps those so-called 'Worst Generation' brats?"

No, none of those are true.

"Only the navy, the so-called righteous army, can be called the hegemon of the sea, and there are some ambitious people in it!"

"The revolutionary army, dedicated to overthrowing the country, also has formidable leaders."

"Fufufufu!"

The chains swung open, and Doflamingo struggled, laughing maniacally.

"When will the 'D' clan, hidden deep in history, finally reveal its true form! Tell those guys in Mary Geoise for me, they'll definitely be brought down, fufufufu! Hahahaha!"

"It has been twenty-five years since Gol D. Roger first conquered the Grand Line. His nemesis, Whitebeard, has not ascended the throne again, but he reigned supreme for a time. But now! Compared to the ever-increasing number of pirates, there is only one vacant throne."

"You should understand, right... It's begun! The greatest struggle for supremacy in the history of One Piece has begun!"

Boom!

As a group of sailors rushed over at the sound, another clap of thunder sounded outside.

Kuro, with a cigar in his mouth, waved his hand slightly, stopping the group of marines from trying to stop Doflamingo.

"Well said, very insightful," he said casually.

Tsuru smiled and said, "That's true. We can't run away just because we're not satisfied. We can't escape either. No matter how turbulent the world is, the Navy has to face it."

Boom!

Another clap of thunder.

"Report!"

At that moment, a navy officer came down from the cabin, saluted, and said, "A ship has been spotted ahead!"

"A ship? What ship?" Kuro was taken aback.

"I don't know, the wind and rain were too strong, I couldn't see clearly," the naval officer said.

Kuro and Tsuru exchanged a glance, and Tsuru stood up and walked outside.

"He's in your hands now. Keep an eye on him."

The other marines saluted and then assumed a defensive posture towards Doflamingo.

Outside, amidst wind and rain, atop towering waves, a giant ship sways and rocks with the undulating sea.

The giant ship's sails were blood red, and on the front was a skull with curved bull horns, with three bones crossed on the skull. On the inside, there was a white 'eight' pattern on both sides of the skull.

The bow of the ship is a huge elephant head with tusks, which looks ferocious.

On the deck, a pirate looked to the side through binoculars.

"Six warships in total, and the one in the middle is even a golden ship? What's so special about that? Is that a warship too? It's so much bigger than a regular warship. Is Lord Doflamingo really in there?"

"Of course, the intelligence is never wrong." Another pirate said, "Look closely, the flag above the mast of that golden ship is also from the Navy. Tch, who is it that dares to use such an extravagant warship? Aren't they afraid of being targeted?"

"They probably wouldn't dare to even think about it now. There are six warships in total, and they're making such a grand display. Truly worthy of Lord Doflamingo," said the pirate looking through binoculars.

"That's really impressive. If that's the case, we probably can't rescue them."

The pirate turned around and asked, "Captain Jack, shall we turn back?"

Behind them stood a massive, robust man, at least eight meters tall, with a golden ponytail and two braids hanging down the sides of his head, dressed like a barbarian.

He has a metal-cast jaw helmet on his mouth, and huge ivory-shaped decorations on his head and shoulders.

His eyes widened, bloodshot as he stared at the pirate. "Bastard! What a joke! Of course I'll save him!"

"Huh?" The pirate was stunned for a moment, then exclaimed in surprise, "Should we...save them?"

"Of course! Who do you think I am? Just a mere warship!"

...

On the other side, aboard the Golden Lion, when Kuro and the others went up to the deck, they could see Sengoku holding up his binoculars.

"It's the Beasts Pirates! This is quite a heavyweight."
