The Great Pirate Era.
The great seas surge and churn, powerhouses destroy and annihilate, each fighting their own battles. It's utterly—
Demotivating!
I, Russil Kuro, age tw...
Killing a Devil Fruit user is not the best option, because if they die, the Devil Fruit will regenerate and be eaten by someone else.
If that person also does evil, it will still be very troublesome.
Therefore, when a person with superpowers is captured, they are usually put into Impel Down after a trial.
Most people only know that Impel Down has five levels, but those inside know that there is a sixth level, the deepest level, where the most vicious criminals are imprisoned.
For someone like Buck, the sixth floor is out of the question, but the fifth floor is no problem.
Although Enies Lobby was destroyed, its functions remain. After being interrogated and convicted on Enies Lobby, Buck will be sent to Impel Down to die of old age.
...
But Kuro was unaware of all this.
Barati.
The warship stopped nearby, and the navy launched a small boat to take Kuro and the others to Baratie.
Although Krik caused considerable damage to Barrati back then, so much time has passed, it has naturally been repaired.
As Kuro and his companions entered the gate, they saw many guests chatting and laughing, creating a harmonious atmosphere.
At this time, the East Blue was relatively calm. There were no major pirates, and even minor pirates couldn't harm Baratie's fighting chef. In addition, the food here was delicious, so many customers came with peace of mind.
"Welcome..."
As soon as Kuro and the others entered, Paddy appeared out of nowhere, standing right in front of them rubbing his hands together. However, before he could finish speaking, he stared at Kuro and the others in horror.
Their main gaze was fixed on Lida, whose face was already beaming with excitement.
"Lida!"
Paddy abruptly took a few steps back, stared at Lida for a moment, then suddenly turned and ran towards the kitchen, shouting as he ran:
"The ghoul is coming! Prepare for battle!!!"
Watching this sleazy version of Popeye frantically run away, Kuro was speechless for a moment, then ruffled Lida's hair:
"Look at this, people are so tired of eating it."
"Don't touch my hair, you've messed it up!"
Lida slapped Kuro's hand away, pouting, "It's not like you're not going to pay, so why are you so afraid to eat here?"
As soon as Paddy went in, a group of people immediately emerged from the kitchen, all looking at Lida with high spirits, as if they were seeing an enemy. This made Lida subconsciously take a step back.
What's wrong?
She didn't offend anyone.
She paid for the meal last time.
They left a wanted criminal for this restaurant; that's enough.
Are they really just tired of eating it?
Lida remained vigilant; if the group rushed at her, she would fight back.
"I've been waiting for you!"
Among the chefs, Zeff limped out, still wearing a top hat and with a wooden prosthetic leg on his right foot, and stood at the front of the chefs.
"Lida, we've been remembering you ever since you came to eat here last time."
"We're all well-prepared this time, and all the chefs will work hard to cook!"
"Barratier, we'll make sure every guest eats comfortably! Don't you think so, chefs!"
"yes!!!"
The chefs were yelling.
Ever since Lida displayed her enormous appetite, causing Baratie's cook to collapse from exhaustion, they had kept it in mind.
It's a disgrace that the chef at Baratie was so exhausted by the guests' appetites!
This time, they are determined to prove themselves!
"Oh, so that's what it is."
Lida breathed a sigh of relief. "I thought you guys were going to beat me up."
"You're joking. In Baratie, the guest is God. Please take a seat."
Zeff chuckled and personally pulled out seats for them. After the three were seated, Zeff said to Kuro:
"I heard you went to the Grand Line? I really miss that kind of place."
His expression was full of nostalgia, as if he had thought of something, and he asked, "Have you ever been to Water Seven?"
"Oh? You've been there before?" Kuro asked with interest.
Zeff chuckled and said, "Well, there's that bastard out there. After all these years, he's probably a stinky old man by now."
"Guest, here's your newspaper and water."
With a fawning smile, Paddy placed several newspapers and lemonade on the table. "You can read the newspapers to pass the time before the food arrives."
Zeff glared at him and said, "Are you complaining that I, the head chef, can't speak properly?"
"The customer is God! Even if you are the head chef, you can't force customers to chat with you. Customers should be allowed to do whatever they want."
Paddy stubbornly answered, and then, like a master of disguise, reappeared beside Kuro with a beaming smile, rubbing his hands beside his head. "Aren't you right, sir?"
This guy is a real tycoon.
The kind where you can earn millions of pesos just by having a meal.
For Paddy, the customer is God, and the wealthy customer is God among gods!
Kuro smirked. "Don't get so close to me, it's disgusting. Go cook."
"Understood, sir. Your request is my principle!"
Paddy immediately took a few steps back, turned around, and went into the kitchen.
Kuro picked up the newspaper, lit a cigar, glanced at Zeff, and handed him one. "Want one? It's good stuff."
Zeff glanced at it and said in surprise, "Looks like you're doing well. This thing is very valuable."
"It's okay, it doesn't cost me any money anyway."
Kuro waved his hand dismissively.
They didn't want his money. Before leaving, he had swindled a whole box of things from Kizaru, which should have been enough before the Marineford War.
Once Whitebeard is finished, he can go ask Kizaru for it.
It's not a big problem.
