Chapter 778 It's Good to Be Unlucky

"They've arrived..."

Aquitaine was stunned when he saw Noadi leave. He cried out urgently, "They actually came here! General Jinni, please save me, save this country!"

Kuro raised an eyebrow: "No, why do you believe that so much?"

“Father...he, he has always been like this.”

Aquitaine said, "From the beginning, nothing about Kolf Island has ever been kept from him. He knows everything, big or small, even if a miner on the border gets sick."

"Wow, that strong? That's definitely a power user. Don't you know what kind of power it is?" Kuro asked.

Aquitaine shook his head: "He never revealed it. As far as I know, after defeating those invading pirates, Father would put collars on them. Those who were collared could only do what Father said. No matter what he thought or said, his body would still do it."

"However, after Straw Hat Luffy arrived, he had a fierce battle with his father. For some reason, he destroyed his father's collar. His father used Bomb Rock during the fight, but because of Bomb Rock, his father lost an arm, and then his power was disabled."

Kuro raised an eyebrow. "Don't you still have one hand?"

“I don’t know,” Aquitaine shook his head. “Perhaps it’s just old age.”

"Is that so? That old man seems very stubborn, not like someone who would accept old age."

There are too many people who refuse to admit they're old, such as Sengoku, Garp, Zephyr, Whitebeard, Redfield, and so on, including those pirates who came out of Impel Down and still want to cause trouble. None of them are willing to admit they're old.

I don't know what's wrong with this world, but I always feel like I can still conquer the ocean.

They don't even consider that the ocean is so experienced, having been sailed by countless young people. How could a bunch of old guys possibly satisfy such a vast ocean?

Aquitaine said, “I’m sorry, I will prepare the food. My father has caused you trouble, but now I am the king, and he cannot stop my decision.”

A red dot flashed in Kuro's eyes. He paused for a moment and said, "There's no need to rush. We can have a meal before we leave."

The Observation Haki sensed a very large aura rushing towards this place.

However, in terms of speed, it will probably take several more hours.

“I felt it too,” Lida said.

While Lida may not be as strong as Clow Reed in terms of the range of Observation Haki she can sense, she is certainly not mistaken in terms of the number of things she can sense.

"Kro, call Moore and tell him to bring Kikyo over for dinner," Kuro said to Kro.

"yes."

Kro took out a Den Den Mushi and started making a call.

"Then I'll go and tell them to prepare the food."

Aquitaine gave a stiff smile and walked out. As he moved, his body bumped against the corner of the table, making a sound that revealed his panic.

Despite facing a formidable enemy, he still had to prioritize serving this group of people.

Everything is for the kingdom...

Although he is now the king, what other place can he control besides this Stone City?

He was almost penniless, and his father, who knew nothing, stubbornly clung to his own opinions.

It's okay, he'll understand once this crisis is resolved.

"Kuro, that old man..."

After Aquitaine left, Lida said, "He went in that direction too."

"I know."

Kuro exhaled a puff of smoke and leaned back comfortably, his expression obscured by the swirling smoke.

“Those stubborn old men won’t change their minds even at the very last moment. Zefa is like that, and so is he. There’s no need to pay attention to those old men who want to contribute their remaining energy.”

If that's the case...

Stussy on the other side spoke up: "Vice Admiral Jinni, why don't we set off now? If we take down those pirates, our mission will be complete."

Kuro glanced at her. "People always need to eat. If we don't get enough rest, where will we get the energy to wipe out the pirates? Even if we don't rest, don't my men need to?"

Stussy pursed her lips and said nothing more.

Kaku leaned back in his chair and said, "Since the lieutenant general has spoken, in my opinion, it's best to play it safe. If he's in charge, let's listen to him."

Lucci didn't speak, he just glanced at Kuro and then remained silent.

Soon after Kro finished his call, two figures appeared outside the castle, and Moore walked in with Kikyo.

"Ah...do you need something from your uncle again?" Moore yawned and slowly walked into the hall.

"I invited you over for dinner, I have something to do later." Kuro casually tossed him a cigar.

Moore reached out and took the seat, then sat down in the opposite seat.

"Sister Kikyo~"

Lida then gestured for Kikyo to sit down.

"Moore?"

As Moore sat down, Stussy frowned and turned to look at the lazy-looking middle-aged man.

"Um, miss, do you know me?" Moore scratched his head, puzzled. "I feel embarrassed looking at me like that. Although you are very beautiful, I always feel like you are older than me."

"Oh dear, that's so rude."

Stussy smiled and said, "If I remember correctly, you are 'Instant Ghost' Moore, right? I heard the name Moore on the ship before, but I never met him and we never made contact."

"Shunki?"

Lucci and Kaku frowned as well. Kaku looked over and said, "Oh... is that the one CP0 was looking for and trying to invite?"

"Hmm? You have this history, Moore?" Kuro asked with interest.
