The Great Pirate Era.
The great seas surge and churn, powerhouses destroy and annihilate, each fighting their own battles. It's utterly—
Demotivating!
I, Russil Kuro, age tw...
After a while, Aquitaine walked in again with a smile, followed by servants pushing a food cart full of food.
"I'm sorry to have kept you waiting. Please have a meal."
As the servants began serving the dishes, Aquitaine personally placed a plate of meat in front of Kuro and said, "Please try this. It's a specialty of our Kingdom of Korf: grilled frog meat."
The dish contained only one frog, which occupied most of the plate. It was decorated with flowers and glistening with oil, making it look very appetizing.
As soon as the dish was served, Lida quickly grabbed the plate and, without caring about the mess, took a bite of the frog with her little hand.
"Mmm! Delicious!"
Her eyes lit up, and she said to Kikyo, "Kikyo-neechan, please remember this flavor later."
"You don't have any left? Why are you taking mine?" Kuro rolled his eyes.
Aquitaine gave an awkward smile: "I'll go get another one."
"You can rest now."
Kuro pressed his finger down, and the air seemed to sink, creating a force that pressed Aquitaine onto the main seat.
"As a king, you need to show some regal bearing. In that respect, you're not as good as your neurotic father. You still have a lot to learn," Kuro said calmly.
Aquitaine opened his mouth, gave a wry smile, but said nothing.
Kuro pulled the 'Roasted Cowboy' that the servant had handed him over to Lida, who was eating voraciously. He poured himself a glass of wine and then poured one for Aquitaine, saying:
"There's no need to rush. When doing things, you have to remain calm in the face of change. No matter how panicked you are inside, you have to stay calm on the surface. Look at me, I'm always calm."
That's because you haven't encountered anything that would scare you...
Kro thought to himself.
He had seen his boss's incompetent rage countless times.
I'm just venting my frustrations now that it's none of my business.
"I see..."
Aquitaine forced a smile and said, "I will stay calm."
"Hey, that's more like it. Come on, let's have one."
Kuro raised his glass, clinked it against his, and began to drink.
That's what they say, but the worry on Aquitaine's face never subsided.
Kuro ignored him and started eating by himself, occasionally putting things he thought were delicious on Lida's plate. He ate for almost an hour before putting down his knife and fork.
"That's about it."
As he stopped, everyone on the Navy side, except for Rita, ceased their attack.
As for CP, they barely touched their food; they weren't there to eat in the first place.
"Lida, stop eating."
Kuro looked at Lida, who was still enjoying her meal, and called out.
"oh..."
Lida quickly stuffed a piece of meat from the plate into her mouth, swallowed it with a 'gulp', and then responded.
"Moore, get moving. I'll call you later to tell you the exact location. Have Lida sense my location."
With that, Kuro stood up and walked towards the window.
"Kro, assemble the navy and be on standby."
“Understood, Mr. Kuro.” Kuro adjusted his glasses.
Kuro pushed open the window and twisted his wrist. "Alright, let's get to work. We can't just sit around doing nothing."
As soon as he finished speaking, his body floated up and flew directly out of the window. With a 'bang', a wave of air rippled around him, and he instantly turned into a blur, flying off in one direction like a shooting star.
Akitan stared dumbfounded at Kuro, who was gradually disappearing from sight, and stammered, "He can fly..."
"Don't make a fuss. My Kuro can fly, so what? He's amazing!" Lida raised her little head and said proudly.
"Is that the Floating Fruit?"
Stussy said, "The spoils of war obtained from killing the great pirate Shiki the Golden Lion, are Vice Admiral Golden Lion's signature abilities."
Lucci nodded: "He has surpassed his predecessors. In his hands, this ability has been developed to an unimaginable level."
High in the sky, Kuro flew forward, creating a cloud of air. In his perception, the stubborn old man was about to make contact with the pirates.
...
At this moment, in a spacious, rocky area, a large group of pirates marched forward.
The leader was a man as large as a mountain of flesh, with a pipe dangling from his mouth and his gaze fixed straight ahead.
But soon, he stopped in his tracks, because in the open space ahead, a slender figure stood upright, like those stubborn plants growing in the cracks of rocks, tall and lonely.
That person...
Xie Lidan stood there, taking a few puffs on his pipe, exhaling smoke, and staring for a long while before glancing at the empty space on the man's left arm. He then said:
"It's been two years, hasn't it, Noadi, no..."
He closed his eyes and said slowly, "I should say we haven't seen each other for over twenty years. I don't recognize you now."
"Noardi!!"
The pirate beside him roared, "The culprits who enslaved us!"
"Kill him!"
"That's right, kill him. He's all alone; does he really think he can enslave us?"
Faced with the pirates' excitement, Xie Lidan waved his hand, and the surroundings immediately fell silent.
"Xie Lidan..."
Noadi hesitated for a moment, but his face quickly turned angry, and he roared, "Are you trying to invade my country, Sheridan!"
"Your country? Isn't this my country too?!"
Xie Lidan gritted his teeth and said, "It's not some country of slaves or miners, it's a country of pirates! A country of proud pirates!"
