I thought about it for a long time, but this thing is not something that can be figured out just by sitting there and thinking. If I could figure it out by just thinking about it casually, I wouldn't have come to this point.

So I just do something else to relax. Don't get me wrong, just exercise, watch TV or a drama or something like that.

Then, a relative in my hometown happened to have a big event and was holding a banquet, so I went back to my hometown which I hadn’t been back to for more than ten years, and suddenly I felt something touched.

I also come from the countryside and spent my childhood and primary school in the countryside. Although those memories are long gone, they are still vivid.

But this time when I went back, I was really surprised to see the changes in the village.

The flat and clean cement road leads directly to the doorstep, and the buildings gathered together look like a small market.

Every house has everything you need, including TV, sofa, tap water, natural gas, water heater, computer, and WiFi.

The village no longer has only a barefoot doctor, but also a health station;

How to design the plot considering the changes spanning more than ten years?

After returning from my hometown, I reviewed it again and had more and more self-doubts, but surprisingly, the urge to write became stronger and stronger!

So I talked to the editor.

Unexpectedly, after thinking for a while, the editor actually voted in favor.

So the final vote count was: emotional approval, rational opposition, and editorial approval, 2:1.

Not only that, my dear editor also worked with me to design the plot, divide the volumes, and reminded me of the creative red lines that need to be avoided, etc. (those who understand will understand).

The result is this slightly different book.

After polishing nearly ten beginnings, I finally finalized it.

Before publishing the book, I actually still felt a little guilty. After all, I was far from being so indifferent to my grades and income. The editor said speechlessly, "Why don't you change your username?"

I thought about it, looking at the freshly soaked oatmeal in the bowl in front of me, and watching the newspaper seller in the group wailing that the beginning of his new book was rejected again (really, he didn’t slack off, he was working hard on his new book).

So, I got my current pen name.

Creating from scratch is bleak. For the first tens of thousands of words, I only had a dozen collections every day, and sometimes even in the single digits.

I even had self-doubt at one point. After all, this subject matter is still too unpopular, and I really don’t know whether readers will buy it.

But I still have to persevere. I have to keep writing about the topic I have chosen, even if it means crying.
