"How glorious is it?" asked the blood-eyed ghost with raised eyebrows.
"I scared away a ghost that was at least at the destruction level." Qin Nuo raised his head slightly, with a hint of pride in his tone.
After hearing Qin Nuo's words, the Blood-Eyed Ghost was silent for a moment, and then burst into laughter, almost laughing to the point of tears.
"You? You've already struggled to defeat the Terror-level, let alone the Destruction-level. How did you scare them away? Did you rely on your blessed mouth?"
The laughter sounded as if the blood-eyed ghost had really been tickled.
Qin Nuo had anticipated this reaction and said calmly, "What a coincidence, it really is a mouth-to-mouth trick."
The Blood Eye Ghost scoffed mercilessly again: "Do you really think that Destruction-level ghosts are all idiots with strong limbs? Are you scared just by a few threats?"
Qin Nuo was too lazy to continue talking about this topic. He planned to lie down for a while and then go out at noon.
As a result, I had just lay down for a while and in the blink of an eye, it was already eleven o'clock.
Qin Nuo got up and went to the kitchen to prepare dinner. His mother was seriously ill and bedridden, and his father was lazy and like a piece of wood. Cooking and taking care of his mother's daily life had to fall on him.
During the Republic of China period, meals were naturally cooked in black pots over firewood, and making them required a lot of technical skills.
Li Sha had no experience in cooking and naturally had no memory of it. She was busy in the kitchen alone, feeling flustered and confused, like a lost deer, completely bewildered.
It was more than half a quarter of an hour later that Qin Nuo came out of the kitchen, exhausted. His face was blackened, his hair was messy, and he looked like he had just come out of a chimney.
In the living room, his father had already taken the bowl and was tapping it with chopsticks, urging Qin Nuo to serve the food quickly.
Qin Nuo wanted to throw the plate of food in his hand directly on his head, but he still held back and brought the three small dishes he had completed to the table one by one.
My father blinked and stared at the three dishes on the table. His expression changed slightly and looked strange.
There were three dishes on the table, all of them were pitch black, as mushy as charcoal, and emitting wisps of white smoke.
Qin Nuo came up with two bowls of rice, sat down opposite his father and invited him to eat, but the latter remained indifferent.
Looking at the colorful dish, Qin Nuo touched his nose and said a little embarrassedly, "Although the dish doesn't look very good, it actually took me a lot of effort. It's crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. It may not look good, but it's actually very delicious."
"If you don't believe me, try it?"
Qin Nuo spoke sincerely.
Unexpectedly, he was fooled. My father picked up the chopsticks, picked up a piece of charcoal and put it in his mouth.
The moment you bite it, a clear crunching sound is heard.
My father paused, then spat it out again, saying one word: "Shit."
After saying that, he picked up the rice and started eating it. Actually, a lot of the rice was burnt, but the top layer was still edible.
"It's not good enough to be described as unpalatable, is it?"
Qin Nuo thought secretly, but with Li Sha's father as an example, he was sure that these three dishes were inedible, so he also ate rice alone.
The rice was raw and mushy. Qin Nuo couldn't swallow it halfway through and simply put down his bowl and chopsticks.
She went into the kitchen, cooked some porridge, and brought it into the room: "Mom, I cooked some porridge, would you like to try it?"
On the bed, the mother's eyelids fluttered slightly, and she said slowly: "Mom doesn't have much appetite..."
"But if you make it, ahem, Mommy can eat it."
As she spoke, she struggled to stand up, and Qin Nuo quickly stretched out a hand to support her back.
"Mom, let me feed you."
A few minutes later, Qin Nuo successfully fed all the porridge in his hand into his mother's mouth.
He stood up and said, "Mom, you continue to rest. Don't worry about other things. I will take care of it."
The mother lay down, not paying attention to Qin Nuo's words, but said: "Remember what mother said."
Qin Nuo blinked and hummed.
After washing the dishes, Qin Nuo did not stay at home for long. He pulled the rickshaw and left the courtyard.
In the next two days, Qin Nuo tried his best to complete the copy mission and explore the main line.
But all we got were trivial things, and there was no real big step forward in progress.
During the two days, Qin Nuo and Shi Yu had a lot of interactions, but the shadow seemed to have completely disappeared. When they arrived at the address he left, there was no trace of it.
Perhaps because he was worried that Qin Nuo would worry, Shadow disappeared but left a message in modern characters at home.
"There has been some real progress in tracking down the Yin Tong, don't worry."
Qin Nuo was a little surprised by these few short words.
Shadow has found out who Yin Tong is?
This development speed is faster than that of him and Shi Yu, but why not contact them and add two more helpers?
Qin Nuo hid the note in his clothes and left Shadow's house without thinking too much.
What was surprising during these two days was that when Qin Nuo went out late at night, he no longer encountered any disturbances from light and shadow. It was as if they had evaporated and completely disappeared.
The not-so-good news was that Li Sha's mother's condition was getting worse. She coughed up black blood almost every day, her face became much paler, and her body became extremely thin. It looked like she wouldn't be able to hold on for a few more days.
My father didn't care at all. He either sat at the dining table at mealtime or went back to his room all day, not caring about his wife's condition at all.
Qin Nuo frowned slightly.
Li Sha's mother is dying. It's not that I'm sad, but it's just that Li Sha's mother seems to be an NPC in the game who knows a lot of important information. It's a pity that she died like this.
Looking at his increasingly weak mother, Qin Nuo pondered for a moment and decided to take action.
Li Sha's mother was unwilling to take the medicine, so she mixed it with porridge and asked her to take it.
