When the two returned after paying the bill, Gu Rongqi was carrying a bag, while Gu Liji was carrying countless bags.

It looked as if he had looted all the stalls in the area.

Gu Liji waved his hand and said, "I'm happy today, so I'll treat everyone to dinner."

Gu Liji contacted the driver to wait at the door. Because of his leg injury, he could only sit in the passenger seat, which had more space.

Knowing that Gu Rongqi was a bit of a germaphobe, Cheng Qicai asked him, "Why don't you sit by the window?"

"Where are you sitting?" Gu Rongqi asked.

Cheng Qicai didn't expect Gu Rongqi to ask her that question. She looked at Ren Baiping and asked, "Where are you sitting?"

"Let's sit in the middle." Ren Baiping thought for a moment, it didn't seem right to have Cheng Qicai, a girl, sitting between the two boys.

Cheng Qicai had no objection. Seeing that Gu Rongqi didn't move, the two of them looked at him at the same time.

Gu Rongqi remained silent for a moment, then turned and walked to the other side of the car, opened the door, and got in.

From left to right, the current positions are Gu Rongqi, Ren Baiping, and Cheng Qicai.

The three of them sat in the back row, which was a bit cramped, and the atmosphere inside the car was inexplicably quiet.

Ren Baiping took out his camera and looked through the photos he had just taken.

"Look, these two hamsters are so funny. When they were fighting, the one on top would even choke the one on the bottom." Ren Baiping shared the photos on his camera with Cheng Qicai.

Cheng Qicai leaned over to look, "Haha, it's so cute!"

Ren Baiping flipped through the photos one by one for Cheng Qicai, and the two leaned close together, occasionally discussing the photos.

The echoes reverberated in the cramped space inside the car.

The photos quickly flipped to the one Ren Baiping had taken of Gu Rongqi. Cheng Qicai looked at the cold-faced Gu Rongqi in the photo and frowned slightly.

In the photo, he looks at the camera with eyes as cold and sharp as icicles forming on the eaves of a house in winter.

She couldn't help but turn her head to look at him now, and unexpectedly their eyes met.

The expression in the photo matched the expression in the photo now, making Cheng Qicai feel a little scared and flustered.

But Gu Rongqi's expression was fleeting; before Cheng Qicai could even discern it, his head had already turned forward.

She didn't understand why Gu Rongqi had that expression. Did he dislike them being too noisy, or did he dislike Ren Baiping?

Ren Baiping flipped through the pages; he had taken many photos of animals, as well as scenes of them.

The photos contain many shots of her walking side by side with Gu Rongqi.

She wondered if they walked this close together.

This exhibition might be the reason he pushed Gu Liji along; he didn't take many photos and quickly flipped through them.

Many of the photos at the back of the exhibition were taken by Ren Baiping of other locations.

"This is the black swan event at our school that I told you about last time..."

"It's really beautiful, even more beautiful than the one I saw at the zoo last time," Cheng Qicai commented.

“Right? Our school has dedicated keepers for the black swans.” Ren Baiping continued scrolling down the photos. “These are pictures of my roommate that I took during our school’s sports meet last year…”

The exaggerated and distorted expression of his roommate in the photo made Cheng Qicai laugh. "Did you go there specifically to take ugly photos of them?"

Ren Baiping joked, "Haha, that's for sure. If they ever mess with me, I'll spread their ugly photos."

"When I was in school, I loved taking unflattering photos of my friends, but they also loved taking photos of me. Our albums are full of unflattering photos of each other."

When Gu Rongqi heard the words "ugly photo," his long, black eyelashes trembled slightly, and his deep eyes seemed to be recalling something.

The two chatted amiably, and when they turned to the next page, Ren Baiping paused, then quickly turned to the next page as well.

Although the photo flashed by quickly, Cheng Qicai still recognized the familiar face through the blurry image.

She asked, "Was that a picture of my sister just now?"

"Hmm." Ren Baiping pressed the scroll button, switching the photos back to Yun Suni's picture.

In the photo, Yun Su Ni is wearing a lake-blue dress, with her hair tied in a neat high ponytail, and she is talking to Yun Ru Cheng with a smile in her eyes.

This photo was clearly taken on a whim, but Cheng Qicai sensed something was off.

She also knows photography, though not an expert. But sometimes the photographer's lens can speak volumes. This photo's feel is different from the others, making it hard for Cheng Qicai not to overthink it.

Yun Su Ni already had many suitors, so in this world created with her and Lu Qi as the main characters, it's not impossible that Ren Baiping knew her sister and had a crush on her.

Cheng Qicai felt a little conflicted. Although Ren Baiping and Yun Suni might not have anything to do with each other, the thought that he was Yun Suni's secret admirer still made her feel a bit awkward.

She couldn't help but glance at him; his expression was calm, without any lingering affection, which relieved her.

If Ren Baiping still likes Yun Su Ni now, then she feels that this period of time has been... well, she doesn't know how to describe it.

Cheng Qicai smiled and said, "You took a really good picture of my sister."

"Do you have a photo of Su Ni? Let me see." Gu Liji, who was in front, perked up his ears when he heard them mention Yun Su Ni's name and asked Ren Baiping for the camera.
