Gu Rongqi reattached the leash to Golden Bean's back, then held it with his left hand while naturally taking Cheng Qicai's hand with his right.

Cheng Qicai looked down at her hand that was being held, and then looked up at Gu Rongqi's calm, smiling face.

She thought to herself, "Wasn't the way he took my hand a little too smooth?"

Holding hands, the two people and their dog slowly walked around the lake.

A pair of white birds skimmed across the water in the distance, creating ripples on the lake.

The two got tired and found a bench to sit down. Cheng Qicai saw a few wildflowers under the bench, so she reached out and plucked them, then stuck them on Huang Jindou's head.

Looking at the flowers on Golden Bean's hair, she felt it wasn't enough, so she went to the green belt and found several kinds of wildflowers to stick on its forehead.

She took out her phone and took several pictures of it.

She picked the flowers off the golden beans one by one, threw them into the trash can, and then took the golden beans home.

She watched as Gu Rongqi drove his car into their residential area, and Cheng Qicai looked at him with a puzzled expression.

Gu Rongqi explained, "You've had dinner. I'll take you home."

He parked the car, then ran to Cheng Qicai's passenger side and opened her door.

Cheng Qicai felt a little uncomfortable with his considerate manner, and she said, "I can do it myself."

"fine."

Gu Rongqi put Huang Jindou down from the back seat again. He held Huang Jindou's hand with his left hand and Cheng Qicai's hand with his right hand as usual.
