Perhaps because she had already confirmed her relationship with Gu Rongqi, she no longer had the conflicted feelings she used to have. After saying goodnight to Gu Rongqi, she slept exceptionally soundly.

She was still asleep when she was woken up by the sound of her phone vibrating.

"Good morning, Qicai!"

Cheng Qicai could easily hear the laughter in his voice; she could tell he was in a good mood. "Are you up?"

"Get up." Cheng Qicai threw off the covers and got out of bed.

"Then I'll buy breakfast and bring it over for you."

Hearing that Gu Rongqi was coming, she looked at her wrinkled pajamas and said in a panic, "No... I mean, could you come a little later? About half an hour later."

"Okay. What would you like to eat? I'll bring it to you later."

Cheng Qicai thought for a moment, "Let's have steamed buns then."

After hanging up the phone, Cheng Qicai immediately threw her phone on the sofa and then rushed to wash up and change her clothes.

Just as she finished tidying up, there was a knock on the door.

She opened the shoe cabinet, her gaze lingering on the disposable slippers.

Now that they're officially a couple, it seems a bit inappropriate to dress Gu Rongqi in this.

But she didn't have his size either, so he had to make do with this for now. "You can wear this for now, and I'll go to the supermarket and buy you a new pair to put in later."

"Okay!" Gu Rongqi smiled and said, "We can go to the supermarket later."

The two sat on the sofa, and Cheng Qicai ate the breakfast that Gu Rongqi had brought.

She took a bite of the bun in her hand, glanced at the time on her phone: 9:23.

This is clearly not the time for Gu Rongqi to have breakfast.

The two fell silent again, looking at each other in bewilderment.

Cheng Qicai suggested, "It's too early to go shopping now, how about we go see a movie?"

"Okay." Gu Rong nodded.

Cheng Qicai turned on the TV and handed the remote to Gu Rongqi, saying, "You choose which movie to watch first, and I'll go prepare some food."

As she spoke, Cheng Qicai went to the kitchen, took out a small watermelon from the refrigerator, cut it in half, and then took out two bottles of drinks.

Thinking of Gu Rongqi's healthy eating habits, she still made him a cup of lemon tea.

Gu Rongqi walked over and asked, "Are you taking these out?"

"Yes!" Cheng Qicai nodded.

Cheng Qicai divided the food Gu Rongqi brought out into two portions, "This lemonade is yours, and we'll each have half of this watermelon..."

"Okay." Gu Rongqi looked down at the thin blanket on his lap, then sat cross-legged on the sofa like Cheng Qicai.

The two were standing close together, and Gu Rongqi could easily feel the warmth emanating from Cheng Qicai's body.

The delicate fragrance of jasmine lingered in my nostrils, just like the day I first visited her home.

Gu Rongqi felt a slight stirring in his heart.

Cheng Qicai looked at the untouched TV screen and asked, "Didn't you make a selection just now?"

"No," Gu Rongqi shook his head. "I want to see what to choose with you."
