Chapter 87 Take Action

The hospital corridor was bustling with people coming and going.

"Lily, is it really okay for you to be so casual in the hospital?"

Jiang Che asked curiously, Hu Lili seemed to be very free, chatting and running around the room!

"Don't worry, it's almost dinner time. There's usually nothing going on at this time. We'll just take a look and leave."

Hu Lili waved her hand and said nonchalantly.

Jiang Che smiled. It seemed that Hu Lili had figured out the working rules of the hospital.

"Okay, then do you know where the red fox was sent?" Jiang Che asked again.

"That's easy. There's nothing I can't find out in this hospital."

Hu Lili spoke confidently, and then she ran enthusiastically to an older nurse and started chatting with her.

After a while, Hu Lili came back with a proud look on her face.

"Come with me. I've already found out. He's having surgery in the ward on the second floor."

He took the lead and walked away, Jiang Che followed with a smile.

Speaking of the red fox, Jiang Che was actually quite worried. Although he had not seen its injuries, Jiang Che could still feel its emotions.

It was a very painful emotion, and my vitality was draining away quickly.

Meeting is destiny. Jiang Che was actually thinking about giving the little guy some spiritual water in the car, but he just never found the opportunity.

Might as well go and have a look now.

Inside the ward, Professor Du and Cheng Yufei looked nervously at Dr. Yan in a white coat.

"Doctor Yan, please perform the surgery quickly. I'm afraid this little guy won't be able to hold on!"

Professor Du said nervously.

Now the fox is unconscious, and he is worried that the little guy will not be able to hold on.

"Don't worry, Professor Du. I've already asked someone to prepare the tools."

"I've just checked. The fox was injured on its hind legs. The muscles and bones are blocking it, so it shouldn't be a vital injury. Its coma is probably caused by excessive blood loss."

Doctor Yan stated his judgment seriously.

Hearing what Dr. Yan said, Professor Du breathed a sigh of relief. As long as there were no vital injuries, there was a chance of recovery.

"Director Yan has all the tools ready."

Just then, the assistant pushed over a small cart filled with tools needed for the operation.

"Yeah, come on over here, we'll start now."

"Doctor Yan, do we need to go out?"

Professor Du asked.

"No, just take out a bullet, it will be done soon."

Dr. Yan put on gloves and quickly got into the position. He first shaved off the hair at the injured part of the red fox.

After the poison was disinfected, Dr. Yan did not give it anesthesia considering that the fox was too weak.

On the hospital bed, several assistants helped hold down its limbs and began the operation.

Doctor Yan was fully focused, carefully peeling off the fox's skin and flesh to search for the bullet inside.

During this time, the unconscious little fox trembled a few times and let out a painful cry.

After a slight struggle, he fainted completely.

After about five minutes, Dr. Yan was slightly delighted as he finally saw a yellow metal particle stuck in the bone.

However, after he saw the situation clearly, his expression became a little solemn.

The bullet was too powerful. The fox's thigh was broken. It might be difficult for him to recover!

Doctor Yan picked up the tweezers, reached in, clamped the bullet, exerted a little force, took it out and threw it into the iron box.

Then they began to treat the wound and reposition the broken bones.

Finally, after finding no major problems, Dr. Yan began to suture the wound.

After that, he used a splint to fix the fox's hind legs.

"Professor Du, the bullet has been removed."

"But I have bad news for you. This fox has a broken leg."

Dr. Yan took off his mask and said with some concern.

Upon hearing the ophthalmologist's words, Professor Du and Cheng Yufei felt a sinking feeling in their hearts.

A broken leg is a nightmare for wild animals, and it will take a hundred days to recover from the injury.

Wild animals are extremely wild and difficult to tame, so it is unrealistic to expect them to recover from their injuries.

It would be even more unrealistic to forcibly lock it up to recuperate. Adult wild animals would rather starve to death than lose their freedom.

Professor Du couldn't think of any good solution, and finally just shook his head regretfully. If the red fox still couldn't survive in the end, there was nothing he could do. He had already tried his best.

"Thank you, Dr. Yan, for your hard work."

Professor Du said.

"It's not hard, it's not hard. Professor Du, you're too serious. Protecting wildlife is everyone's responsibility." Doctor Yan waved his hand to indicate it was okay. Then he said, "This ward rarely has patients. Let's keep the little fox here for a few days for observation. We'll make plans once the condition stabilizes."

"Well, this is the only thing we can do now." Professor Du nodded.

There was no decent pet clinic in the town, so the fox had to be kept in the hospital.

"Professor Du, I have something else to do, so I'll leave first. If you need anything, you can call me."

"Okay, Dr. Yan, take care." Professor Du said.

Doctor Yan nodded and called his assistant to push the door open and leave. The assistant placed the red fox on a small cart covered with a mat.

Even though the little guy was unconscious, he was still shaking. It was obvious that he must be in great pain at this moment.

Looking at the painful red fox, Professor Du fell into deep thought. He had originally planned to release the little guy back to its habitat after it recovered, but now it seems that this is not feasible.
