I took a shovel and used it as a walking stick. Feeling a bit short of breath and with a tightness in my chest, I staggered towards the back door.

I turned the flashlight and walkie-talkie back on, and as soon as I did, Pu Weichao's voice came through: "Xiaonan, Xiaonan, talk to me! Talk to me now, or I'll come find you right now!"

I said, "Don't come any closer. I'm already outside. Luding and his group have already gone in through the gap. You guys need to retreat immediately."

Upon hearing my voice, Pu Weichao breathed a sigh of relief and said, "Okay, let's retreat now. You hurry up and get on the bus through the back door."

The flashlight illuminated the road ahead. The snow was falling heavier and heavier, and the monster ahead was covered in snow on its head and shoulders.

My chest and lower back still ache slightly.

"Awooo!" the monster roared as it approached.

I swung the shovel and smashed its head flat, then continued walking towards the back door.

Pu Weichao and the others have probably retreated by now; they're probably waiting for me at the back gate. Along the way, I fought my way through quite a few monsters.

Almost there, we'll be at the back door soon.

Before we even reached the corner, a beam of headlights suddenly appeared ahead.

"Xiaonan!" Lu Jing's voice came.

When I saw Sister Jing come up to me, I smiled slightly and said, "Sister Jing, you've come."

"What happened to you? How did you get like this?" Lu Jing was surprised and frightened when she saw the blood on my face and body.

I swallowed hard, still feeling a tightness in my chest, and said, "Don't worry, I wasn't bitten."

"If you're alright, get in the car quickly, let's get out of here as soon as possible," Pu Weichao urged, then added, "This place is about to explode."
