My name is Lu Xiaonan, and I am a doctor. Three days ago, my friend Su Ming told me that the entire world would face a catastrophe and fall, and to be prepared. At the time, I didn't believe hi...
(This is the fourth update. That's all for today. We'll continue tomorrow. By the way, please give me some recommendation votes.)
After the four of us were locked up, they ignored us.
In the pitch black, we untied the ropes binding the other person, thus freeing them from their restraints.
Without saying a word, we all went to the door and kicked it open, trying to get out.
However, the door in front of us was a security door that we couldn't kick open. And because this was an equipment room, there was only one small window, which was blocked by iron bars. In short, we had no way to escape from here.
That's why we chose this place to hide our weapons.
But that's all in the past.
Hu Fei then asked, "How did those bastards find us?"
I said, "Following them? Didn't they say before that they found out we went to the police station, so they followed us here? This was my miscalculation."
"What the hell are you planning!" Fei Lichao cursed. "Who is Zhang Long? Even if you don't go to the police station, he'll find us in a day or two."
Hu Fei said, "Are we doomed?"
Fei Lichao said unhappily, "What do you mean 'die'? Even if I die, I'll kill them first!"
Hu Fei said irritably, "Why are you yelling at me?"
Lu Jing, unable to bear watching any longer, angrily said, "Stop arguing, let's think of something to do first."
Fei Lichao and Hu Fei both fell silent.
Lu Jing looked at me and said, "Xiao Nan, what do you think we should do next?"
I felt a little helpless. Although the equipment room was dimly lit, the moonlight streaming through the window allowed me to vaguely see the faces of the three of them. I noticed that they were all staring at me, seemingly waiting for me to come up with a plan.
But I had no ideas whatsoever.
I shook my head and said, "I don't know what to do either. We're locked up here now, and we don't know what they're up to, so it's very troublesome."
Fei Lichao's expression remained unchanged, still indignant, as he said, "Hey, why did you surrender just now? You could have just shot them all!"
"Hey, what do you mean! You want to die, but I want to live!" Hu Fei said.
I frowned and said, "You two, that's enough! What are you arguing about? Is this the time to argue?"
The two of them shut their mouths and neither looked at the other.
I stared at Fei Lichao and said, "Old Fei, you say I shouldn't surrender, but do you think I should just watch you all die? Even if you could, I couldn't!"
"I'm not that..." Fei Lichao tried to explain.
I raised my hand, stopping him from continuing. "There's no point in talking about this now. Let's think about what to do next."
Jingjie said, "Xiaonan is right. Let's think about what to do next."
I continued, "I've been thinking about it. When we were in the car earlier, that guy Sanba said there was a sliver of hope for us to survive. That means Huo Cheng didn't capture us to kill us. So what was his purpose? To humiliate us? Or to torture us?"
Hu Fei said, "I think if we don't find a way to leave, we'll all die in the end."
I nodded: "You're right. If we don't leave here and stay, we'll definitely die. So, we have to find a way out."
Fei Lichao asked, "But how do we get out?"
I said, "We can't get out now. We can only take it one step at a time. They captured us, so they can't keep us locked up here forever. Otherwise, what's the point of capturing us? I think Huo Cheng definitely wants to torture us."
Thinking of this, the expressions on the faces of all four of us changed.
"Anyway, nothing should happen tonight. If something did happen, they wouldn't have locked us up."
I don't know if saying this will put their minds at ease, but that's all I can say. After all, I'm not Pu Weichao, nor am I Zhou Liang. I don't have their brilliant minds, so I can only deduce things based on common sense.
I hope my deduction is correct.
Next, the four of us sat down and each thought about our own things. I touched my sleeve and found that the scalpel I had been hiding was still there.
After checking Fei Lichao's injuries, I felt relieved.
I sat on the floor, staring at the moonlight outside the narrow window, pondering what to do next.
We're locked up here now, so there's definitely nothing we can do.
But once we go out tomorrow, we might be able to do a lot of things.
I hope so; I hope my deduction is correct.
...
Unfortunately, my deduction was wrong.
The next morning, when the sunlight streamed through the small window, I opened my eyes, woke everyone, and waited for the people from Huocheng to come and take us out.
But we waited in the equipment room from morning until noon, and none of their people came to open the door.
I was puzzled, wondering if Huo Cheng was sleeping in? So he didn't get up in the morning and was going to wait until the afternoon?
However, we waited from noon until 3 p.m., and even when our stomachs were growling with hunger, no one came to open the door and take us out.
This time we felt something was wrong.
Hu Fei sat on the ground and said, "Have all the people outside died? Or have they forgotten about us?"
I frowned, trying to figure out what they were up to.
Sister Jing said, "Do you think they might just want to lock us up like this and let us starve to death?"
