My name is Lu Xiaonan, and I am a doctor. Three days ago, my friend Su Ming told me that the entire world would face a catastrophe and fall, and to be prepared. At the time, I didn't believe hi...
(The second update is here, and there will be a third update around 8 PM.)
The little girl screamed and charged over.
Li Qiming, however, was still asking me from the side, "How did this girl become like this?"
I frowned, holding the dagger in my hand, and said, "Didn't I say that yesterday?"
At this moment, Zhong Jianzhou had already taken his children and hid in his office.
I glanced at the office and realized it was indeed a good hiding place. Then, pulling the limping Zhang Zhihao along, I said, "Everyone, get into the office! Hurry up!"
No one objected. Li Qiming, carrying his son, was the first to sneak inside, while Zhang Zhihao and I went in last, slamming the office security door shut.
The little girl was locked outside.
The roar came through, clear and chilling.
When I came in, I saw that everyone breathed a sigh of relief.
The little girl's mother, Lu Jing, was crying in Zhou Zhengnan's arms, unable to accept the reality before her.
At this moment, Li Qiming grabbed me and asked, "Hey, Mr. Lu, were you trying to kill someone just now?!"
I broke free from his grasp, grabbed his collar, and yelled, "Damn it, look closer! Is that little girl outside even human?! If she were, would she bite me?! If it weren't for Zhang Zhihao, I would have been killed by you!"
I have a temper, to be honest. He stopped me from making a move just now, and I almost got bitten.
If I get bitten, I'm doomed.
Zhang Zhihao leaned against the window, staring at the little girl outside, and turned to say, "Brother-in-law, Dr. Lu is right, Xiaoya is no longer human, she has become a zombie."
The facts are right in front of them, but they don't seem to want to accept them.
I also found it hard to accept when Zhou Yang died, but that's reality. What's the use of denying it?
Zhou Zhengnan and his wife both cried uncontrollably, and the entire office fell silent except for their sobs.
Li Qiming, his face contorted with anger, went to the window, looked at the little girl outside, and finally closed his eyes, asking, "Is everything you said true?"
"Why would I lie to you? You saw what happened just now; I almost got bitten," I said irritably.
“I can trust you, but you can’t kill her. The little girl is Old Zhou’s only daughter,” Li Qiming said solemnly.
I closed my eyes, suppressing my anger, and asked, "So what do you plan to do?"
Li Qiming pondered for a moment and then said, "Tie this girl up."
"And then?" I asked. What good would tying her up do? Would it change the fact that the little girl had turned into a monster?
"Wait!" Li Qiming said stubbornly. "I believe the country will definitely find a way to save the world. Even if the country can't, there are definitely people in the world who can!"
I think so too, but more than half a month has passed, and even the army has fallen apart. What can we wait for?
"Whatever you want," I said.
Li Qiming nodded and began preparations, but there was no rope in the office.
I continued, "You can tie her up, but I'll be watching her closely. If any danger arises, I'll kill her immediately, understand?"
Li Qiming stared at me and said, "Don't worry, I won't give you that chance."
A dozen minutes later, Li Qiming, Zhong Jianzhou, and I tied the little girl up with a bed sheet and gagged her so she couldn't bite anymore.
I didn't stand idly by from the beginning. Seeing that they were struggling, I went up to help.
The little girl is now tied to a chair and cannot move.
Lu Jing wanted to go over after seeing this, but was stopped by Li Qiming and Zhou Zhengnan.
It's true that the little girl was tied up, but it was still very dangerous.
It's best not to get close.
Li Qiming told everyone to leave the office, locked the little girl inside, and then they went to the classroom to discuss what to do next.
"Originally, I was planning to go out to find something to eat today, but this happened, so Zhong Jianzhou and I will go out to find something to eat from now on. You all stay here and wait, okay?"
Li Qiming looked at everyone, but his tone did not imply any questioning.
Zhong Jianzhou is a middle-aged man with two teenagers. He nodded silently without saying a word.
There was already no food left. If we didn't go out to look for food, would we all starve to death here?
“I’ll go too,” Zhou Zhengnan said.
Li Qiming shook his head: "You shouldn't go. Stay here. What if something happens to you again?"
“Okay.” Zhou Zhengnan did not refuse.
I really want to go out, not only to find some supplies, but also to look for Fei Lichao and his men.
But before I could speak, Li Qiming said, "Dr. Lu, after we leave, this place is yours. I hope nothing goes wrong. As for your axe, can I borrow it for now? Is that alright?"
I paused, realizing that he wasn't asking me anything.
That's true. I've only been here for two days, and given my previous behavior towards the little girl, they don't trust me much, so leaving me here is the safest option.
“No problem,” I said.
Li Qiming nodded, picked up my axe, and left with Zhong Jianzhou through the back door of the kindergarten.
There are too many monsters outside the front door, making it inconvenient to go out.
After they left, I glanced at the few people in the classroom and sighed inwardly.
Hopefully, Li Qiming and the other person can return safely.
The classroom was quiet. Zhou Zhengnan and his wife were embracing in a corner, both feeling very upset.
