It wasn't night yet, around 4:30 pm.

I gathered about twenty people and they followed me to the village.

To avoid being discovered, I took a detour and it took me about two hours to get to the vicinity of the village.

The village was surrounded by open space, mostly abandoned farmland. We parked the car where we were and then used binoculars to observe the village.

Upon closer inspection, I discovered that most of the villagers were gathered inside an ancestral hall. The hall was very large and surrounded by walls, so I couldn't see what was inside.

I asked Lao Li, "When you were observing before, did you see anything inside the ancestral hall?"

Old Li said, "When I came here before, I observed from a hillside on the south side, but it was quite far away, so I could only see it with binoculars."

I glanced south through my binoculars and confirmed there was indeed a small hill. But it was already dark, and I was afraid of alerting them if I went over there, so I decided to wait here.

At this point, Old Li asked, "Are we really going to kill everyone inside?"

Old Li, who was beside me, asked, "When do we attack?"
