Wang Xiaolan closed the door and motioned Liu Feng to sit down. She was worried that someone outside might eavesdrop on their conversation, so she went back to the door and stood there quietly for a while. After making sure that there was no one there, she returned to Zhao Lihan's bedside with peace of mind.

He called out softly, "Li Han, you can wake up now. Liu Feng is here to see you."

"Is he awake?" Liu Feng asked in surprise.

"Yeah." Wang Xiaolan nodded.

Zhao Lihan opened his eyes and looked at Liu Feng with a hint of surprise on his face.

He thought to himself: I only met Liu Feng once, why is he here? For a moment, he couldn't explain it.

Wang Xiaolan immediately came over and told him, "If Liu Feng and Liu Pei hadn't been helping me these days, I really don't know what to do."

"Thank you, thank you, thank you..." Zhao Lihan stretched out his hand, shook hands with Liu Feng, and said in a low voice.

Wang Xiaolan took out the bottle of medicine that had been touched last night from under the bed, handed it to Liu Feng, and then told him what happened last night.

"The patient needs an X-ray." The nurse said as she was about to lift Zhao Lihan's quilt, but was stopped by Wang Xiaolan.

I thought that X-rays would not be of any help for Zhao Lihan's head disease.

"The doctor didn't tell me about this during his ward rounds this morning."

"We were also notified at short notice. Zhao Lihan needs to undergo this examination. There's no need for his family to know. You're right to listen to us."

"I disagree. X-rays have radiation and are harmful to the patient's health. The cost of this examination is too expensive. We can't afford it."

“This is free.”

"Free? We won't do it either. Ask the doctor to come and tell me. I can make the decision about my husband's affairs. Please leave. Otherwise, I'll ask everyone to come and judge the matter."

After hearing what Wang Xiaolan said, the woman who claimed to be a nurse was afraid that the matter would get out of hand, so she had no choice but to push the empty stretcher away in dissatisfaction.

Not long after the nurse left, Director Bai came to the ward to check whether Zhao Lihan had woken up. He then picked up the stethoscope and listened carefully.

Director Bai asked Wang Xiaolan, "His pulse and heart rate are both fine. Has he ever regained consciousness?"

"No," Wang Xiaolan answered seriously.

"From my examination, it seems he woke up in the middle, maybe at night, you might not know."

"Okay, I'm glad you know." Then he left the ward.

At noon, Liu Feng and Liu Pei came to the ward.

When Zhao Lihan heard Liu Pei's voice, he immediately opened his eyes, stretched out his hands excitedly, and held him tightly, with tears in his eyes.
