Chapter 322 Land in Sight

Xiwen tried to persuade him a few more times, but Lu Yuan still showed no intention of going down.

Seeing that Lu Yuan had no intention of coming down, Xiwen could only shake his head and then crawl into the cabin.

Liu Shu's death served as a wake-up call for everyone. Now, everyone is together except when they go to the toilet, just in case someone else does something drastic.

However, everyone gradually got used to it over time. The main problem was that Lu Yuan's behavior was too strange. They were worried about Lu Yuan, since he was their employer. If he committed suicide, their voyage would be meaningless.

Lu Yuan squatted on the mast, a cigarette dangling from his lips, calculating the days ahead, occasionally taking out photos of his family from his pocket to look at for a while.

Suddenly, Lu Yuan sensed a black object appearing on the distant sea.

So Lu Yuan quickly put his family photos back in, then took out his binoculars and looked into the distance.

At the horizon, a high ridge appeared, and Lu Yuan's heart jumped.

"It doesn't look like ocean waves! Could it be..."

He excitedly adjusted the magnification of the telescope.

Suddenly, a piece of land appeared on the distant horizon. Looking further ahead, layer upon layer of mountains stood in the distance, like majestic knights guarding the island.

Lu Yuan was so excited he could hardly speak. He had thought the journey home would be smooth, but they had encountered so many hardships and dangers along the way, almost losing their lives several times. For more than two months at sea, they had used up all their fuel, drifting on the sea little by little with the help of the wind. At this point, Lu Yuan's hope was almost extinguished by this journey.

The sudden appearance of land finally gave him new hope. Lu Yuan felt his jaw trembling uncontrollably. He was finally going to see his family, whom he had been thinking about day and night. Were they alright? Was Xiao Shan alright? And his friends, were they all alright?

Lu Yuan's heart tightened instantly. He was afraid that this was all a dream, that the distant scene was just a mirage, and that it wasn't where his family lived. All these thoughts made Lu Yuan's heart clench.

"We can't wait any longer! We must move forward as soon as possible!"

Lu Yuan was determined to do this, so he slid down the mast without caring about his safety at all.

With a loud bang, Lu Yuan flung open the door and shouted breathlessly to everyone, "Found it! Found it! Land! There's land there!"

Then Lu Yuan suddenly pulled Xiwen up, and ignoring the food they hadn't finished eating, he knocked all the bowls and plates off the table and spread out the map from the table next to him.

"Is this the place in Jin Province? Is this where we are?"

Ignoring the grease on his lips, Xiwen stared wide-eyed at the locations marked on the map, then took out a ruler and measured them.

"That's right! We're right here, this is the cracked land in Jin Province! That's right! What did you just say? You've discovered land? Where is it?"

Everyone stared wide-eyed, their expressions filled with ecstatic joy. Months of life at sea had exhausted all their patience, and the news Lu Yuan brought was undoubtedly a tremendous piece of good news.

Lu Yuan nodded firmly: "That's right! It's there, there's land! It's land!"

The group immediately embraced each other excitedly. They jumped, shouted, and cried, with tears of emotion streaming down their faces.

Everyone rushed onto the deck immediately. The wind was strong, but no one cared. A huge wave crashed over, but no one flinched. They stood upright on the deck, each grabbing a telescope and peering into the distance.

Sure enough, there was land in the distance. Although there was no greenery on it, the feeling of being in the sea gave me a very reassuring feeling.

"Raise the sails! Raise all the sails! Full speed ahead!"

Immediately, everyone got busy. All five sails were raised, and Xiwen stood in the captain's cabin, holding the helm and constantly stabilizing the ship's direction.

At this moment, Lu Yuan even felt that the dark sky was no longer dark, and that slivers of sunlight pierced through the thick smoke and dust, shining onto the ship and onto the sea.

The sharp bow of the ship cleaved a large gash in the waves, and the white waves on both sides kept receding backward.

Lu Yuan refused to return to the cabin and stood straight on the deck, holding binoculars and staring into the distance.

The others followed Lu Yuan, and the drowsiness they had felt for days seemed to have vanished. Everyone wished the ship could go even faster.

As if hearing their prayers, the sea breeze blew even stronger, violently whipping the sails, and the yacht sped towards the island at an extremely high speed.

Several hours later, the group was able to see the distant land clearly without using binoculars.

"Only thirty nautical miles left! Keep it up!"

At this moment, Xiwen wished he could pull out an oar from the cabin to help the boat increase its speed even further.

Just a few nautical miles from the coast, several small boats were floating on the sea, carrying men and women. When they saw the luxurious yacht, their eyes were filled with envy.

"Where did you come from? What are you doing here?" A man who looked to be around thirty years old asked the people on the small boat with a hint of wariness.
