Lu Yuan felt that this middle-level position was far too small, yet he still managed to encounter someone connected to Zhao Kai here.

The other person nodded, then looked at the flashlight in Lu Yuan's hand.

Then, the door opened.

The other person smiled and said, "Um... could I go and open the cell doors for the other people?"

"Please go ahead!"

Lu Yuan walked straight in and tossed the key to the other person.

The other person shouted "thank you" to Lu Yuan, then turned and left through the gate.

Upon reaching the basement level, Lu Yuan saw a bloodstained cell that emitted a strong stench.

Lu Yuan couldn't help but cover his nose, then shone his flashlight inside.

Not far from the torture chamber was a row of sturdy cells. Unlike the ones above, the doors of these cells were welded together as a single unit.

There is only one entrance/exit at the very bottom for delivering food.

So Lu Yuan took a flashlight and went over.

The first cell was empty, containing only some prison clothes left behind by the inmates, and nothing else.

Next, Lu Yuan walked towards the second cell. A person sat quietly in the second cell, covered in wounds and looking rather pitiful. Lu Yuan called out, "Who's in there?"

The other person, sitting on the ground, turned his head slightly and sneered, "Let me tell you! There's no way you'll get me to help the Long Group! Even if I knew, I wouldn't tell you! Forget about it!"

Lu Yuan frowned immediately: "What are you talking about? I'm here to save you!"

The other person's body suddenly stiffened, and it took him a few seconds to finally come to his senses.

"What? You've come to save me? Who are you?"

"Never mind who I am! Come closer! I'll get you out of here!"

The other person then slowly walked to the front door: "Why are you..."

Lu Yuan didn't waste any words with him and simply threw him into the dimensional space.

Then Lu Yuan walked toward the next cell.

Lu Yuan began rescuing people from cell after cell. The people imprisoned there were mostly the mortal enemies of the Long Group, including some who had worked for Yuanfang Company in the past.

Finally, when Lu Yuan reached the middle section, a familiar voice came from inside.

"Zhao Honghai?"

Lu Yuan shone his flashlight inside.

Then the person leaning against the corner paused slightly, turned around and glanced in the direction of the door. Lu Yuan, lying on the ground, saw through the crack that it was Zhao Honghai inside.

"Old Zhao, it's me, Lu Yuan! I'm here to save you!"

Upon hearing Lu Yuan's voice, Zhao Honghai was so excited he almost cried.

He walked over shakily, leaning against the wall. Lu Yuan didn't stand on ceremony. He first sent the other person into the dimensional space, and then brought him out of the dimensional space again.

Seeing Zhao Honghai again filled Lu Yuan with mixed emotions.

As one of the few middle-level managers who can actually get things done, Zhao Honghai is one of them, and Lu Yuan has a good impression of him.

Zhao Honghai was extremely weak at the moment, and he was leaning against the wall, unable to stand steadily.
