The moment he stood on solid ground, Lu Yuan felt so excited that he almost cried.

It has been almost two months since they emerged from the underground bunker.

For the past two months, we have faced all sorts of problems and monster harassment on the road. In order to solve these problems, we even sacrificed two members of the special forces.

Zhou Tong didn't react as strongly as Lu Yuan. He got off the boat, found a rope, and dragged the boat to the shore to prevent it from being swept away by the waves.

Then he stepped forward and gently patted Lu Yuan on the shoulder.

"There's no need to get so excited. The situation here doesn't seem as good as we thought!"

Lu Yuan shook his head: "I'm not excited about this. I just feel that I'm finally going to finish my mission and can finally get some rest and spend time with Xiao Shan."

"Oh, I see. That makes sense. It's already mid-January. Xiaoshan is about to give birth, right? Let's find a place to be with Xiaoshan so she can have a good delivery. We'll take care of things here."

Lu Yuan thought so too. After all, he owed Xiao Shan far too much. From when she was pregnant until now, he had been busy taking care of other things and hadn't given his mistress enough attention.

A look of joy appeared on Zhou Tong's face. He turned to look at Lu Yuan and then shouted loudly, "Haha, we can finally see the sunlight again! What are we waiting for? Let's go!"

Without any hesitation, Lu Yuan followed the other person and ran wildly in the distance.

After running across the beach full of debris, we came to a ground covered in gravel. It was quite different from what I had imagined. It seemed that there was no forest anywhere in the Amazon rainforest.

Lu Yuan and Zhao Tong ran for about half an hour, but they still couldn't see any vegetation on the ground. There wasn't even a single blade of grass, and the ground looked extremely dry, as if there hadn't even been any rain.

Why doesn't it snow here?

After observing the surroundings, Lu Yuan suddenly asked, "Didn't that heavy snowfall affect the entire globe? Could it be that this place wasn't hit by the blizzard when it hit, or perhaps some other disaster struck?"

Lu Yuan couldn't understand it. All he had seen along the way was a gray, desolate world, like a wasteland, with no living things, no plants, no water, and no snow.

Zhou Tong frowned slightly. He came to a large rock nearby and used all his strength to move the several-ton rock. Then he noticed that the soil under the rock seemed to have some signs of moisture. So he quickly called Lu Yuan over.

"Look, there's water on the rocks!"

Upon hearing Zhou Tong's words, Lu Yuan quickly ran over and indeed saw some water stains under the stone.

Although there wasn't much, you could feel a slight dampness when you placed your hand on the soil at the bottom of the pit.

Without saying a word, Lu Yuan took out a shovel from his dimensional space and dug hard into the ground a few times.

After digging for a few minutes, more water stains appeared on the ground. Although there wasn't much, it indicated that there was likely a water source in this area.

Then Lu Yuan took out another test strip from the dimensional space, placed it on the soil, and moistened it with water.

He wasn't sure if the water here had seeped from the ocean; if it had, the color of the test strip would definitely have changed.

When the test strip came into contact with the moisture in the soil, it immediately turned slightly bluish. Comparing it with the control image of the test strip, it was discovered that the negative concentration in the water was quite high.

"It seems that this water source is seawater that seeped in from the ocean, rather than groundwater that was left behind!"

Lu Yuan nodded and followed Zhou Tong forward. Every now and then, the two would search for some stones nearby, but they didn't find many water sources.

There wasn't even water under many of the rocks, and the further we went, the more severe the water shortage became. After walking for about two hours, there wasn't even any water left on the ground.

No matter how big the stone they moved, they couldn't find any trace of water.

"It seems there's definitely something going on here, but are there any survivors left?"

Lu Yuan wondered aloud, but seeing that Zhou Tong looked rather tired, Lu Yuan decided to find a car first.
