As a fake half-demon, Yue Jiuling feels that living in the human realm is actually pretty good. However, this is only true if she can retrieve her original body and separated soul. There's no c...

Chapter 103 Sold

"Tsk, that should be enough."

Yue Jiuling selected a lot of talismans and packed them into a box, preparing to send them to Yue Jiunian later.

When Mu Xiaoyi returned to the dining table and saw the empty soup pot, she said, "Wow, you guys are really something, you drank the whole pot of soup."

Little Cabbage looked at Mu Xiaoyi with sparkling eyes and said, "Sister Xiaoyi, you seem so lucky to have a mother who cooks so well."

Hearing Xiaobaicai's praise, Mu Xiaoyi said proudly, "Haha~ That's right, my mom's cooking is amazing. If you have the chance, I'll invite you to my house for dinner so you can taste my mom's cooking."

"Okay~"

"Oh, now that you mention it, we're all really looking forward to it."

"Tsk tsk~ I'm so envious."

Seeing everyone chatting, Yue Jiuling came over as well. She drank the tonic soup she hadn't finished earlier and said, "Hey~ Everyone seems to be in good spirits today. Looks like we can go back to work?"

Upon hearing Yue Jiuling ask the same question that Ya Zi had just asked, Bai Xinyu immediately said, "No, Jiuling, I don't think I'm better yet. I need to rest for a few more days."

Ye Dongfeng and Yinni leaned on each other and said, "Yeah, one day of rest isn't enough!"

"That's right, Comrade Jiuling, you should be more understanding of us wounded soldiers."

Even Mu Xiaoyi and Xiaobaicai immediately pretended to be very weak and shook their heads to indicate that they could not go to work yet.

Ya Zi had already witnessed their acting skills, so she remained silent and watched them continue their performance. Yue Jiu Ling could also tell that they wanted to take a paid break.

Yue Jiuling said, both amused and annoyed, "What the hell? Don't you guys have any conscience? Ya Zi and I are exhausted from work, aren't you really going to come back and help us out?"

Ye Dongfeng was still as cheeky as ever, and he said in a cheeky tone, "Hehe~ Um, we just didn't want to disturb your date, did we?"

When Yue Jiuling heard him say that, she immediately blushed. She said angrily, "Shut up, or I'll beat you up!"

Actually, if Ya Zi weren't here, Yue Jiuling wouldn't care much about Ye Dongfeng joking like that.

But now the other person he was joking about was right there, so Yue Jiuling felt a little embarrassed by Ye Dongfeng's jokes. She was worried that Ya Zi might misunderstand something, so she simply pretended to be angry.

When Ya Zi saw Yue Jiuling blush, he smiled and said, "Tsk~ You guys really are~"

Yue Jiuling said with a hint of helplessness, "You people... really..."

After being 'frightened' by Yue Jiuling, Ye Dongfeng stopped joking. However, he still looked at Yue Jiuling and Ya Zi with a sly grin, and even the others looked at the two of them with a 'strange' gaze.

Because that group of people resolutely refused to come back to work, Yue Jiuling and Ya Zi had no choice but to continue to shoulder the 'heavy responsibility' since they were indeed injured.

night

Before nightfall, Yue Jiuzai went to Liu Niuniu's aunt's house. The reason she went to see her aunt was that she planned to sell the old house.

This small place was remote and poor, and Yue Jiuzai felt she couldn't stay any longer. She wanted to find Yue Jiuling and the others as soon as possible.

Although the eldest aunt was not entirely at ease about Yue Jiuzai leaving her hometown for another place, she was still willing to help her niece.

My aunt couldn't bear to see the old house sold, so she put up some money to buy it herself, saying that she could "redeem" it back if she regretted it later.

When Yue Jiu was handling the transfer of the house, she really wanted to say that she would never come back, but in the end she didn't say anything.

"Hmm~ I realize I don't seem to have anything to tidy up."

While packing his things, Yue Jiuzai suddenly realized that there was nothing in the house that was suitable for him to take with him.

She plans to leave tomorrow morning, but all she can take with her are some clothes and the money from 'selling the house'.

Yue Jiuzai didn't really have any attachment to this place; she was just a little irritable because she felt her spiritual power was insufficient.

The next morning, Yue Jiuzai took advantage of the good weather and the fact that it wasn't raining and set off south.

She was carrying an old backpack, some clothes, and a bank card, but no cell phone, clearly indicating that she intended to sever ties with this place.

Yue Jiu first took several short-distance buses, and then got off in a small town. As she walked, she planned her route in her mind, but just after she got off the bus, she was spotted by someone.

A woman in her forties or fifties with short hair stood by the station looking for a target. When she saw Yue Jiuzai alone, her eyes lit up as if she had found her goal.

If Yue Jiuxing or Yue Jiuyue saw this aunt, they would probably recognize her as a bad person.

Yue Jiuzai was deep in thought when she realized she was getting hungry and needed to find something to eat. However, before she could decide what to eat, a short-haired woman stopped her.

"Hey little sister, where are you going? Are you alone?"

Yue Jiuzai was pulled back and looked up at the aunt in front of him. She said indifferently, "What? Is something wrong?"

The aunt seemed very enthusiastic, but Yue Jiuzai could still see through her ill intentions. She just smiled and said, "Oh, it's like this, I'm here to recruit people. I guessed you were looking for work because of your outfit, so I wanted to ask you."
