"Squeak!"

Yue Jiu Nian thought the rat was probably really crazy, so she didn't dare to open the cage to take it out. She found a small wooden stick and poked the rat with it, but as soon as the stick went in, the rat bit it and then snapped it in half with a 'crack'!

"Tsk! Looks like your bite force is pretty good."

Yue Jiu Nian took out the remaining sticks and then planned to knock the rat unconscious again for research. She flicked her finger at the rat, releasing a tiny bit of demonic power to knock it unconscious, before opening the iron door of the cage and reaching in to take the rat out.

Although the rat had fainted, Yue Jiu Nian could still feel its body trembling slightly and its heart beating very fast when she touched it, which was very abnormal.

"Nine Calamities, Nine Calamities, come down quickly and take a look! This rat is poisoned!"

Yue Jiu Nian grabbed the rat and started shouting "Yue Jiu Zai," trying to get her to come down and see what was wrong with the rat.

Yue Jiuzai was watching TV upstairs, but when she heard Yue Jiunian's voice, she came downstairs with her tablet.

"What's wrong? You still can't decide whether to eat it or not?"

"Eat my foot! I called you here to come and see if it's poisoned!"

Yue Jiu Nian, holding the mouse, said, "Just now it was like a madman, constantly trying to break open the cage and even biting through the wooden stick. Oh, and its eyes have turned red too."

Listening to Yue Jiu Nian's description, Yue Jiu Zai went downstairs and approached the rat to take a look: "Let me see."

Just as Yue Jiuzai approached the rat, the rat suddenly opened its eyes!

The mouse lay on Yue Jiunian's hand. As soon as it woke up, it immediately rolled over and tried to bite Yue Jiunian's hand, but Yue Jiunian reacted quickly and grabbed its neck, preventing it from biting.

"Holy crap! That was close, I almost became the first cat to get bitten by a mouse."

Yue Jiu Nian said with lingering fear, "But how could it wake up so quickly? I only knocked it out for less than five minutes."

The mouse squealed and struggled in Yue Jiunian's hand, but luckily Yue Jiunian held it firmly, otherwise it would definitely have broken free.

Seeing this, Yue Jiuzai became more serious. She stared at the rat for a while and found that its eyes were getting redder and redder, as if they were filled with blood. Then she found a small hole on its forehead.

The hole was as small as a pinhole; if it weren't for the little bit of red blood on it, she might not have noticed it.

"Look here, isn't there a small hole here?"

Yue Jiuzai pointed at the rat's forehead and said, "Tsk~ You should grab it, or knock it out again. It's so annoying that it keeps moving around. I can even see a small hole."

Yue Jiu Nian was also annoyed by the rat's constant struggling and wriggling. She used some of her demonic power to try and knock the rat unconscious, but this time she failed. Instead of fainting, the rat became even more agitated!

"Squeak!"

"Holy crap, has this guy really gone mad?"

As Yue Jiuzai spoke, she reached out to crush the rat. She figured that since they couldn't see the rat while it was alive, they might as well kill it and then study the small hole.

The rat was grabbed by the neck with one hand by Yue Jiuzai, and its bones were broken in a second, killing it instantly. After it stopped breathing, Yue Jiuzai pointed to the small hole and said, "This is it, take a look."

Yue Jiu Nian squinted at the small hole with bloodstains. The hole was too small, but you could still see that something seemed to be wriggling inside.

"Hmm, I feel like there are bugs inside. Could it be some kind of parasite?"

Yue Jiu Nian glanced at the small hole and said with disgust, "No, let's get rid of it. What if some bugs actually get out?"

She was about to take the rat outside to get rid of it when, just as the rat was placed on the ground, it suddenly opened its eyes! Then it came back to life, leaping up to bite Yue Jiu Nian!

Holy crap!

This sudden turn of events was truly unexpected, but fortunately, Yue Jiuzai had been keeping an eye on the rat, so he immediately threw out a small fireball, which instantly burned the rat to ashes.
