Chapter 157 Camping

Yue Jiu Nian and Yue Jiu Zai had spent almost a day on the mountain, but the people they were with had not yet reached their destination.

"Ugh, how annoying! There are so many mosquitoes here! They're almost biting me to death."

While frantically scratching the itch, Yue Jiu Nian also tried to swat away mosquitoes.

Because they didn't bring tents or anything like other people, they could only sleep in trees or on the grass. However, there were a lot of mosquitoes on the mountain, and the two of them were almost bitten to death by mosquitoes. There were also many strange insects biting them.

Yue Jiuzai also looked miserable. It was still summer, and they were all wearing short sleeves. They hadn't brought any insect repellent or other medication, so they were covered in bites.

"It's all your fault! You rushed off with them without even preparing some essentials. You should at least have bought some insect repellent! Now we're practically being eaten alive by mosquitoes!"

Yue Jiu Nian complained to Yue Jiu Zai that when they had their true forms before, they could revert to their original forms in this situation, and their thick fur would prevent them from being bitten. But now that they were both in human form, they had no way to deal with this situation.

Yue Jiuzai felt a little helpless after hearing this. She had been too hasty. Otherwise, she would have definitely bought a tent if she had gone camping: "Sigh, okay, it's my fault. But I didn't know they would be searching for so long without finding the place. I thought they would find it soon. Who knew they had been walking for a whole day and still hadn't arrived."

The group she was talking about was setting up tents. They had been walking all day, and now that it was getting dark, they took out their tents to set up and even lit a campfire, preparing to rest there for the night.

There were ten people in the team this time, but they brought quite a few tents, four or five in total. So when Yue Jiu Nian and Yue Jiu Zai saw that they had so many tents, they were very envious, because compared to them having to climb trees and sleep on the grass, having tents was such a blessing!

Yue Jiu Nian pouted and looked annoyed as she hid to the side, staring at the tents. She said, "Damn, how come they're so rich? Can't they have some pity on us and give us one?"

Yue Jiuzai had already climbed up a tree. She curled her lip and didn't even look at Yue Jiunian, saying, "You really know how to think. Why don't you go find them and ask if you can join them and borrow one to sleep with?"

"Tsk~ I have to say, I really want to make up an excuse to go there. This weather is so annoying. It's not just hot usually, but there are so many bugs. When I went to find 'Shuang'er' before, I spent so many days on the mountain, and it wasn't this annoying. Now it's really annoying."

Yue Jiu recalled the last time she went up the mountain alone to find the true body, but that time was much better than this time, there were even fewer mosquitoes.

Jiang Yan didn't help when everyone was setting up tents. First, he didn't know how, and second, those people suddenly started watching him very closely. He didn't have to do anything; he just had to sit quietly to the side. They even had people watching him, as if they were afraid he would run away.

Jiang Yan didn't know what was going on. It hadn't been that strict before, but he was starting to feel uneasy, even more so than when he was first fed the Gu worms.

They were currently on the mountain. After climbing for most of the day, they finally reached the top in the evening. However, after reaching the top, they did not rest but continued on their way until it got dark and they needed flashlights to walk before they stopped to rest. When they were about to rest, they began to keep a close watch on Jiang Yan.

The tents were set up quickly, probably because they all had camping experience. After the tents were set up, the guy called Lao Hei sat in front of the campfire and cooked noodles. As he cooked, he smiled at Uncle Zhao and said, "Uncle Zhao, how are you? You've been walking all day, are you still holding on?"

Uncle Zhao was also sitting in front of the campfire, but he was eating bread. The two men he brought with him were also eating bread, so it seemed that most of their food was dry rations.

Uncle Zhao, munching on his bread, glanced at Old Hei and said, "Hmph~ Don't underestimate me. Your Uncle Zhao is in great health, you wouldn't believe how healthy I am!"

"Hehe~ As long as you're healthy, that's good. I'm just worried about your health~"

After Lao Hei finished speaking, he said to the tent behind him, "Lao Wu, the noodles are almost cooked. Quickly call everyone out to eat together."

No sooner had he finished speaking than a man emerged from the tent. This man was the leader of the kidnappers, whose name was Old Wu.

Old Wu turned to his men and shouted, "Brothers, dinner's ready! Come and eat!"

Jiang Yan had been walking all day. Although he had rested and eaten along the way, he was exhausted and hungry by this time. He was being watched by someone and couldn't move around freely, so he sat on the ground and was almost asleep from exhaustion. But when Lao Wu called out to him, he was immediately awakened.

The man watching Jiang Yan was a man in his thirties. He was not tall and was even a little overweight. Jiang Yan heard everyone call him Fatty.

The fat man also heard Old Wu's shout. He tugged at Jiang Yan's clothes and said, "Let's go, kid, it's time to eat."

Jiang Yan had been woken up and was wide awake. He felt very hungry, so he quickly stood up and followed the fat man out of the tent.
