"Little cabbage, hurry up, I need your help!"

When Bai Xinyu found Xiao Baicai, he was looking at a data table. He hadn't even reacted when Bai Xinyu called him before she pulled him away.

"Hey, Xinyu, what's wrong?"

Xiao Baicai felt himself being pulled almost out of the testing room, so he quickly put down the form in his hand before following. Confused, he asked, "Sister Xinyu, what's wrong? Is something the matter?"

Bai Xinyu was currently focused on solving the case as soon as possible, so she continued walking with Xiao Baicai while explaining to him, "It's like this, we haven't had any leads on the missing person case from last night, right? When I came back just now, I remembered there were a few small trees in that alley. Could you go and ask them for me?"

"Oh, I see. You should have said so sooner. I thought something was wrong."

After hearing the reason, Xiaobaicai agreed to help Bai Xinyu. However, when they arrived at the office and were about to call Mu Xiaoyi, they found that Mu Xiaoyi was writing and drawing in a notebook, while Ya Zi, Ye Dongfeng, and Yin Ni were watching Mu Xiaoyi's actions.

Seeing this, Bai Xinyu guessed that Mu Xiaoyi was probably performing a divination, so she went over to take a look. She even whispered to Yinni, "What's wrong? What is she divination about?"

Seeing that Bai Xinyu had found Xiaobaicai, Yinni lowered his voice and said, "You're here. Xiaoyi should be counting those missing homeless people, but judging from her appearance, I guess something happened to those missing people."

Upon hearing this, Bai Xinyu frowned immediately. She turned to look at Mu Xiaoyi's expression and saw that she looked very serious, as if the result she had calculated was not good.

Bai Xinyu saw this and was about to ask something else, but she was interrupted before she could speak.

"Shh~ Let her calculate. At this point, she won't stop calculating no matter what."

The voice was familiar, and Bai Xinyu knew who it was without turning around, so she stopped talking and just stood there quietly watching Mu Xiaoyi calculate.

After that person finished speaking, Little Cabbage immediately smiled and whispered, "Sister Jiuling, you're awake!"

"Yes, I'm awake. Thank you for the pillow."

Yue Jiuling had just woken up, and as soon as she woke up, she saw Mu Xiaoyi calculating something. She immediately guessed that she was calculating about the missing persons case, so she didn't go up to disturb her.

Not wanting to disturb Mu Xiaoyi, everyone waited quietly for a few minutes before seeing her stop writing. She looked down at the lines she had drawn in her notebook, then sighed in disappointment, "Sigh~ I didn't expect it to be gone in the end~"

"What's gone?"

Bai Xinyu was the one most concerned about the results. She went up to Mu Xiaoyi's notebook, pointed to the complicated lines, and asked, "Xiaoyi, what did you get? Are those homeless people alright?"

"The result has been calculated, but they are already gone. In other words, it doesn't matter whether we go to rescue them or not, because they have all ceased to exist."

Mu Xiaoyi's words were easy to understand. The absence of life meant that the homeless people were already dead, and even if they went to find clues now, it would be too late.

Upon learning the result, Bai Xinyu immediately deflated like a punctured balloon and slumped into a chair. She said with a mix of helplessness and sadness, "No way, they're all dead after just one night. I was hoping to save them."

Holding her notebook, Mu Xiaoyi said helplessly, "Actually, I didn't expect this either, sigh~"

Seeing the two of them looking at each other, Xiaobaicai quietly asked, "In that case, should we still go to Xiaoshu to ask for clues?"

"Of course I want this!"

Upon hearing Xiaobaicai's question, Bai Xinyu's balloon instantly filled up again. She said, "If we hadn't been there last night, we could have ignored this matter. But we reported it immediately last night, so no matter what, this missing person case still needs to be investigated."

As she was about to leave with Xiaobaicai, Mu Xiaoyi saw Bai Xinyu leaving and followed her with her notebook. Ye Dongfeng chased after them, patting Mu Xiaoyi on the shoulder and saying, "Hey~ wait a minute, are you going out now? Why don't you rest a little longer? We're leaving this afternoon."

Mu Xiaoyi was actually a little tired, but she still shook her head and left: "It's okay, we can still manage."

Yue Jiuling watched them leave, then returned to her seat and scrolled through her phone, saying, "Tsk~ This case is really troublesome. I should have known better than to report it so quickly in the first place."

Ya Zi returned to his seat, rummaged through his small drawer, found a few small cakes, and then shared them with Yue Jiuling and the others. He said, "The report has already been submitted. No matter what, this case needs to be resolved."

"Yes, I just don't know if Xinyu and Xiaoyi can find any clues, otherwise we would go and help them tonight."

After Bai Xinyu and the other person left, Ye Dongfeng continued to organize his precious magical artifacts. While organizing, he also took photos with his phone, as if he was sending the photos to someone.

Hidden beside Ye Dongfeng, watching him take pictures, he seemed a little annoyed with Ye Dongfeng, glancing at him and saying, "Tsk, what are you doing? Don't you need to rest?"
