Chapter 334 Stone Gate

"Stop! You're saying there's no room for negotiation?"

After discovering that she could no longer communicate with the two stone statues, Yue Jiu had no choice but to grit her teeth and fight them. However, she wasn't just going to fight; she also needed to open the stone door and go inside during this time.

The black threads on the stone door were almost gone, but the stone door showed no signs of opening and remained closed. During that time, Yue Jiuzai tried kicking and pushing with his hands, but still could not open the stone door.

After discovering that the stone door was not so easy to open, Yue Jiuzai had no choice but to focus his attention on the two stone statues.

Because the two stone statues are controlled by souls within their bodies, if you want to subdue them, you must first destroy their souls. Therefore, Yue Jiuzai wanted to lure out their souls and imprison them.

However, drawing out the souls was very difficult, because they don't come out easily. Therefore, Yue Jiuzai couldn't think of a good way for a while and could only use force to attack the stone statue in an attempt to damage it.

However, after fighting for a while, Yue Jiuzai was also tired. Not only had she failed to damage the two stone statues, she hadn't even been able to open the door, so she wanted to quit and stop fighting them.

"Hey~ I'm not playing with you guys anymore, I'm too tired."

After Yue Jiuzai unleashed his final sword strike, he withdrew from the safe zone of Shimen and declared a truce.

The safe zone was two meters away from the stone gate. After retreating to that position, the two stone statues stopped attacking Yue Jiuzai. In this way, Yue Jiuzai's fight was essentially for nothing.

Seeing that the stone statues had returned to normal, Yue Jiuzai stood aside and observed them, trying to see if there was any other way to deal with them.

After much thought, Yue Jiuzai still couldn't come up with a solution, but he also didn't want to use any overly violent methods to deal with them.

First, this is the realm of ghosts, and it would be too unfriendly to deal with the guards here using overly violent methods. After all, I sneaked in, so I can't go too far.

Secondly, this place is deep within Hell, and it's no ordinary location. Most people know the most terrifying parts of Hell as the eighteen levels of hell. But the deepest parts of Hell are far more terrifying than those. The depths of the Ghost Realm hold many unknown dangers, a realm even many of the original inhabitants are unsure of. Therefore, Yue Jiuzai dared not venture behind the door, fearing the dangers within.

Actually, regarding whether or not she could enter the Stone Gate, Yue Jiuzai hoped even more that someone familiar with the area could lead her through it.

"Alright, it seems getting in won't be so easy."

Yue Jiuzai crouched down three meters away from the stone gate, watching the two guards. She noticed that the guards returned to normal after she stepped back, but the black threads inside the stone gate did not recover. It seemed that the black threads had disappeared after she burned them.

After resting for ten minutes, Yue Jiuzai observed the area again and, after confirming that there were no more tentacles in the well wall, decided to transform into her soul form and try to pass through the statue in her soul form.

Unexpectedly, once she transformed into a spirit form, the spirit inside the stone statue also emerged and continued to attack her!

Now that's settled. The physical form was attacked once, and the spirit form was attacked as well. However, this time it wasn't as troublesome as before because Yue Jiuzai took the opportunity to use a clever trick. After the two normal ghosts emerged from the stone statue, he quickly used the Soul-Fixing Technique he learned from human cultivators to pin the two ghosts to the side of the stone statue!

"Hehe, you didn't expect that, did you? I, a demon soul, can actually learn the spells of human cultivators."

Seeing that she had frozen both ghosts in place, Yue Jiuzai was extremely pleased with herself. She smugly walked to the stone door, then knocked on the skull-shaped doorknob and said, "Door, I'm going to open you now~"

This time, opening the stone gate wasn't difficult, because after Yue Jiuzai dealt with the stone statue gatekeeper, he pushed the stone statue's hand to open the gate.

It turned out that opening the door required a mechanism. Yue Jiuzai found two finger-sized holes below the skull doorknob, and then pushed the two stone statue fingers in to open the mechanism.

With a loud rumble, the stone door was finally opened. However, as Yue Jiuzai opened the door and went inside, she did not notice that the ghost, who had been expressionless since being frozen in place, now showed a look of terror.

After the stone gate opened, the first thing Yue Jiuzai saw when he went in was an empty space, and then he went a little further in before he saw a black pool.

The black pool was pitch black, and no one knew what was inside, but it still smelled as foul as the puddles outside.

Beside the black pool lay a pile of white bones, from all sorts of species, including human and animal bones, and even a few huge fish bones.

This place is like another part of the basement, just as dark and empty, but it's not as damp as the previous one, and even the air is a bit drier.

Yue Jiuzai reverted to his physical form and continued walking inside with a flashlight. However, after walking for two minutes, he encountered a fork in the road. On the right side of the road, there was a huge stone lying across the road. There seemed to be some kind of writing carved on the stone, but the writing was too ancient for Yue Jiuzai to recognize.

There was nothing at the intersection on the left, and the road was smooth.
